I don't know why we are always trying to keep people from getting injured. Injuries and accidental deaths is how we keep the population under control and make sure there are enough jobs to go around.

I am a competitive diver myself and think that if you do not know what you are doing then don't show off to your friends! If you want to show off then take diving lessons! Thank you.

They took the boards from our local pool (16 ft deep!). I was a competitive diver and equestrian. Diving gave me some scrapes, bruises and strains (all from slips on the board). The horses did even more of the same, plus broke a few bones and gave me a concussion once. Done right (meaning not in shallow water), diving is injury free compared to a lot of sports.

I wonder if they mean "diving board related" injuries or just "diving related' injuries. If it is the latter, a stupid kid diving head first into the shallow end of a pool would be a "diving related" injury and that would inflate the numbers quite a bit.

i think this a good video beacuse you can really get hurt on a diving bored me my brother and my friend are all divers and we have gotton hurt plentaly of times. you could still get hurt by scraping you foot off the end of the borad or, when you doing your approach and you might silp and fall this video is a really good example of why little kids below 10 should not dive at all. they could get really HURT!
