  • no car is complete without a CB radio and a radar detector

  • That song is AWESOME. The CB radios are quite nice as well. ^_^

  • There is so much slang on C.B local yokal city cop, county mounty sheriff, gator guts a blown out tire with pieces all over. Statey, bear, chicken coop= weigh station, patty waggon= squad, radio check= see if the C.B is working. 10-4= message received, whats your 20? where you at Location? etc...

  • How to spot a bear (cop).

    You will need:

    A CB radio

    A car

    some trucker language skills.

  • That music is AWESOME.

  • Good )ld CB'er's :) QC

  • Ive got a ranger with a train horn and a cb tommorow when i see a texas hwy patrol ill go by him and vlow it a scare the shit out of him and floorboard it

  • ponch ponch trrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

    i

  • picture taker is trucker talk for police rador

  • @deathkeeper5000 or kojack with a kodak lol

  • Do you have a... thing that detects a radar device?

  • Music, video, cops I wanna party with you dude.

  • were you fuckin videotaping while you were driving AND on the CB?!?!? lololol

  • @PugFuker Well the CB radio wasn't in my hands I was driving with one hand filming with the other.... Plenty of people drive with one hand

  • @robm425 mainly those with one arm - trust me... I have seen that happen

  • @robm425 plenty of people drive like idiots.

Interesting video but next time just dash mount it.

  • "bear" is for highway patrol

    "county mounty" is shiriff

"city kittie" is a normal city cop

  • breaker one nine for a radio check.

  • @iheartnonamejane

10-4 good buddy your wall to wall.

    this is lavender larry

Meet me at the pickle park for a 10-100

  • @24preacherboy LMFAO!!

  • do you know if you can hook up a cb to run on solar power? what kind of license do you need for them?

  • @andlyndav no license needed to operate cb radios. in short, yes you can hook them up to run off solar power.

  • @andlyndav

Just get a car battery or whatever and get a 12v solar panel.

  • Thats some fist pumping music

  • when you can take the pebble from my hand ,it will be time for you to leave ,

  • radar jammers don't work ? the captain of the washington dc police department has one and he said he has it so he dosn't get trapped ! i have one and it works perfect who ever told you it dosn't work must be a cop .

  • @hookuspookus529 There are radar jammers that do work though they are constantly falling out of tune and are highly illegal to own and operate. Rocky Mountain Radar Products which claim to be radar jammers do NOT work there is plenty of evidence to that fact. Using a radar jammer is a felony offense and regulated by the FCC. Laser jammers are legal in 40 of the 50 states and they are regulated by FDA.

  • @hookuspookus529 Radar jammers are illegal in all states now. In fact, it is a felony in some states like here in Illinois. If you don't know how to use a radar transmitter safely, it can expose you to dangerous ionizing radiation which could lead to cancer and other health problems too. Just get an advanced (and expensive) radar detector like the one I have. You don't need a Chicken Band radio to do it.

  • my buddy was the cop who sat at the pennsy / ny line .. he had a hemi interseptor with 3-2 barrels on it .this was in the 70"s they let him buy the car at retirement and he still has

  • i would rather spend 100 on a cb radio setup than 300 on one of those radar detectors that go off when a bird craps 1 mile away plus they are illegal in some states cb's aint

  • @crapper1 cb is illegal in delaware.

  • Cops are using radars less anyway, most in my state use LASER which good luck jamming....

  • @1337shellc0der That's what they want you to think but radar is still the preferred method of speed measurement based on the sales data I and contracts submitted by state police in the northeast that I have looked over

  • @robm425 No its not. My brothers department has only two radar units. But it has 20 lasers.

  • @MickScarborough Considering I look at the state buying contracts radar is still king. I wish more places used laser. I am only guaranteed to run into laser when I drive through CT.

  • @robm425 Come through Tampa Bay. 100% guarantee you will be lasered.

  • @MickScarborough National average 75% of what is purchased is still radar guns

  • @robm425 There are over 10000 law enforcement agencies in the USA. Are you saying you have looked over all of their contracts? I call bullshit.

  • Nice valentine 1

  • If you speed often you should just get a jammer.. They aren't that expensive.. And you turn them on and off as you please... So they say you are supposed to run with it on, and when you get hit, you slow down, and when doing the speed limit again, turn it back off so they can get a reading on you.. Supposedly good for up to like 100 yards from the cop..

  • @YamahaWR200 Radar jammers are illegal in every state in the USA and violate FCC regulations carrying a huge fine. Also they do NOT work. Rocky Mountain Radar products are useless and are pointless. I have seen countless test of their products and they have never worked!

I do have a laser jammer on my car but thats only good against laser and its illegal in just 10 states

  • @robm425 Well.. I thought in this video the cop was lasering and the guy said he would turn it on and off. So that would be laser.. And as far as I understand it, it isn't illegal here in Ca because there is nothing illegal about it..

  • @robm425 are the jammers thous little black boxed that u can but a wlamert and sears?

  • @sweettooth80 No those are not the jammers I have.

My Radar Detector is from 'ValentineOne' and my laser jammer is from 'laser-interceptorusa' add d0t c0m to the end of what i have in quotes

  • @robm425 VO is awesome.

  • @sweettooth80 want a jammer ? rocky mountain radar has'm

  • @hookuspookus529 RMR jammers do NOT work!!!! This has been exposed by many news organizations.

  • i need CB....I like to speed even in my bronco.

  • Oldschool Gabber music :D

  • Good old CB radio were would we be without it

  • Nice setup. I need this

  • 2 bears with guns..Lol...now thats a sight for sore eyes.

  • Comment removed

  • Ham Radio will out do CB any day

  • @tim66214 take away the FCC and its pretty much the same thing.

  • i drive on thruway all the time. where is that? 87 or 90?

  • THIS Ur little forum to take comments personal Is It, Obvious it is imowtflol Seems your checking to see if anyone has any derogatory comments on A regular basis. Got lots to do all day other than set on YouTube daily ,BTW everyone says Brains not brain, dickless & U don't know squat bout Trucking or the radio or NYS Police on the toll road ! Whinner

  • @jfellowskats ? care to phase that in English? Thanks for the view though!

  • If you dont want to get caught speeding then DONT SPEED..

  • @teamfab Yeah but unfortunately everybody speeds, even at the normal traffic flow so telling a person not to speed or at least go with the flow of traffic is dangerous

  • say what you want but my radar detetor has gotten me out of countless tickets..i run with my cb volume low because most of it is bullshit nowadays..but having both doesnt hurt..it was totally worth the $500

  • I just call them the Po Po.

  • Love the video man, but that music is fucking annoying. I really need to get the Concealed Display for my Valentine 1...

BTW, he probably didn't hit you with radar because he can see if you're with traffic or if you're passing cars. If you were passing peole he would have hit you sooner. They do that a lot out there... Montana HP are the sneakiest by far I've seen

  • well i know this area well.. seeing its my town.. and you have not seen a ny style trap till you see the one up the road a few exits.. one sits on the over pass shooting while a line of troopers sit on the on ramp ..... but either way pretty cool to see my town my chance on here

  • well i know this area well.. seeing its my town.. and you have not seen a ny style trap till you see the one up the road a few exits.. one sits on the over pass shooting while a line of troopers sit on the on ramp ..... but either way pretty cool to see my town my chance on here

  • I cannot stand 4-wheelers that use CB radios. Sure, this video is three years old. Still annoying when you hear it.

  • @phillymetalhead why does it bother you bro

  • @phillymetalhead I didn't know only truckers are allowed to use a CB, fuckwit.

  • @phillymetalhead its the same both ways...i hate hearing some 18-wheelers jabber about non-cents when i trying to get some info....not that all are like that

  • 1 thing 4 Sure Drivers { Truckers } definitely know who is A Hand & who isn't when talkin' on the Radio ! FYI

  • @jfellowskats Yeah, just listen for the ones who sound like they have no brain, then you know for sure they are the truck drivers.

  • @imowtflol FYI, First OFF it's Brains NOT brain & I doubt you have ever run truck & highly doubt you would know what A Hand is in the Transportation Industry, Furthermore !

  • @jfellowskats Hahah you dipshit. It is brain, not brains. Humans have only one brain in their skull, so you use the singular, not plural form

You must be a truck driver, and have no brain.

  • @afgboy66 Um I learned the lingo from and heard the term first from another trucker on the road. I got too buddies who drive all over the country working for a race team and they hear that term in their at least once a day

Lingo like "bear taking pictures" I have read but never actually heard.

  • @afgboy66 In NY, PA, NJ, and MA on I-80, I-81, and I-90

  • @afgboy66 "Bear with a customer" is cop with somebody pulled over I still hear it up in the north east

  • what detector are you using?

  • @961995h Valentine One with Concealed display

  • is it necessary to have a huge antenna?

I have an 88camaro and dn't wanna ruin the look by having a long antenna?

  • @Jonny4Vam You need at least the "Wilson Lil' Wil" which is 36" 3 feet tall to have any value to the antenna. I recommend huge antenna's normally in fact I think they look so good i have seen large antenna's on a Maserati and a few lambos and some BMWs, they look good at times

  • @Jonny4Vam run a trunk lip. dukes of hazzard style.

  • Nice all-around setup! I like your Valentine 1 detector-I hope to get one someday soon.

  • They should have busted you for driving while using a video camera... concentrate on driving your fucking car next time...

  • @sp0ng Then why don't you get off your Cell phone when driving whether your are calling or txting. There is no law against driving with a video camera. In fact I drive with one 24/7 now but its permanently mounted in my car with out me holding it

And maybe If I actually looked through the camera I would have better shots

  • I was a Pizza delivery driver, and I had a CB radio, never got a ticket, knowing where all the speed traps were. In Australia, Truck drivers use ch 40 on UHF, but sometimes when reporting a trap, have to be careful especially when the highway patrol is in your view while between towns, they actually monitor our CB channels on account their programmable radios can accomodate CB and Police, thanks to us using UHF as our main CB system. We do also have your american 27Mhz system

  • @Cringle84 What isn't so very well known is 27mhz AM CB will pickup the harmonics of a mobile speed camera's radar, squelch out the static, and as you approach a speed trap, you'll hear a low volume high pitch whining.

  • @kryckeestrooff Cool, a 27meg CB as a Speed trap detector!! I remember on one trip Cairns to Townsville with some friends, we saw a Candy car (HW Patrol) few cars ahead heading same way as us. I said I was going to report him, but my friend said "DONT!... watch this!" grabs the microphone from me and speaks into it, the moment he finished I saw the candy car hit the brakes, do a U'ey, pursuit lights, siren, and headed in the other direction, I was surprised 0_0 ouch! They were listening!

  • What does instan on mean???

  • @revalj Well when a cop is turning the radar on and off and seeing as a radar detector only alerts when the cop has his radar on. Instant on is a great way cops can combat radar detector users

  • police dont use CB they use UHF or VHF like in the 460 MHz range or 155 MHZ range and some times 800 MHz trunking system if you know what I am talking about.

  • @KJ4UNR Us Australians use UHF FM as our main CB system, mainly due to popularity of clearer audio, less noise and a consistent reliable coverage, consequently Police can have our Citizen Band and their own police band programmed into their radios so police can monitor the Citizen Band to increase the chance for a bust, speed, drugs, anything! I have seen two antennas on police cars, probably for that purpose as one of them...

  • @Cringle84 hey it me KJ4UNR again in our county only the state troopers have CB or 27.000 MHZ thats what CB's frequencies use but other then that no other public services like fire ems or even the small town cops dont have CB and they have more then one antenna on their car I have 5 antennas on my car two are for CB one is for HF one is for VHF and one for UHF. And I think the cops have one for VHF and UHF

    73's

    KJ4UNR

    Matthew

by the way if your intrested in ham radio call: 252 305 0502

  • @KJ4UNR I would believe everything you are saying, the 2 antennas on the police cars are both UHF, one is slightly shorter. Then the rural Police have an additional antenna, A Toyota Landcruiser, or Nissan Patrol with a huge stainless steel whip strapped to the bullbar that has a self tuneable loading coil tube on the bottom, basically a mobile 160m antenna. In regards to Ham Radio, I know a bit about it, Soon will be applying for a Standard HAM license, and building my own gear. :)

  • @Cringle84 you will have fun with ham radio I build most of my gear all of the antennas on my base station are home brewed antennas it pretty easy and fun too I have a few antennas on my jeep too that are home brewed. I hope to work you on HF some day maybe soon

    73's

  • Breaker Breaker, We have some Ankle Biters who think a Base Station is all that. I got a Blessed event with some new accessories and I don't plan to change. Lotta ya'll are just an Alligator station. So I think I am gonna Bug out and will catch ya'll on the flip-flop. Robm425, Keep your nose between the ditches and Smokey off your britches. I'm gone!

  • @rebelrenegade1 LOL!!! Britches... Alligator.. A yankee trying to talk Australian, keep practicing mate! One thing is Alligators and Crocodiles are different species, a dead giveaway is that Alligators have lips, Crocodiles have no lips, and we have two different categories of Crocs: Fresh Water Crocs characterised by a narrower jaw, and Salt water which is a much heavier built croc, the Fresh water crocs are too frail to attack anything big, its the Salt water crocs that you have to worry about

  • @Cringle84 Sorry to bust your Bubble numbnuts, but Cb talk isn't an Aussie thing so drop your sorry pride. Aussies didn't invent the CB lingo and didn't invent the CB radio Alfred J. Gross, A canadian invented the CB radio and Citizens Band Radio Originated in the U.S. ANd CB Slang CB and its distinctive language started in the USA but was then exported to other countries. SO maybe you outta do your research before you start attacking someone about something you know nothing about!

  • @rebelrenegade1 Woah woah, wait a minute, I never said anything about how we invented the CB lingo or even the CB. We have our own lingo, or lack of it, because CB was introduced into our country decades ago so have changed alot over the years. Great you know who invented the CB. We more like talk on the CB these days like we would normally speak in person, added with our own codenames for reporting speed traps: Candy car= Highway patrol, Flash for cash= Speed camera, hairdrier= radar gun

  • @Cringle84 Well You mentioned A Yankee trying to talk AUstrailian. I am from Huntsville, Alabama. Basically a Good ole Southerner. Britches is part of of our Southern Slang. And Alligator came from a list of CB lingo. And when you said a Yankee trying to talk Australian, I was not talking Austrailian. That was American CB Lingo that was being used. Then you proceeded to give me a lecture on Crocs and Gators. So now maybe you see why I took offense to your your reply.

  • @rebelrenegade1 And on another note, our UHF CB system, unique to our country is not our pride, in fact an embarrasment, it is deregulated like no one gives a rats, (except for the emergency channels but people have been known to interfere with emergency calls, but people who do get caught get hefty penalties) UHF has the worst swearing you would ever hear anywhere else. Only good thing about our UHF system is the sound quality due to being FM. As a result people have been going back to 27meg

  • @rebelrenegade1 and come to Australia for a little while, and find out the way an Aussie talks, like how accent varies from state to state in USA, we have similar variances, we generally speak faster, our accents are closest to the UK, but with a more relaxed or in other words, lazy mouth, as for the reason why an english person is more likely to understand an Australian than an American trying to understand.

  • A friend of mine wanted me to get back into CB so he could get more use of of his. I was about to, until I took a trip with another friend that had a CB. From an hour of so listening to all the crap on 19, I decide I didn't want that again. Anyway my days of higher speed cruising are behind me.

  • @txlastrebel You talking like this is some big accomplishment...The video is 3 years old, I am not new to Youtube at all

  • I use too run a CB and Ham radio out of my Cars for years with a 600 watt Booster and on a clear night you can hear me 100 miles on a straight signel down the interstate I ran a audeo King antana with a 6 foot shaft on top of my Car's roof my SWR was alomost flat I never got a speeding ticket CBs are the best fuzz Busters.

  • u are the dumbest fucking person in the world

  • do 80 and 1 will come after u

  • Cool cb comes in handy when traveling.

  • Where do you mount your antenna? Roof or trunk?

  • @railmogul2 u want ur antenna as far away from ur FM radio antenna

  • @forealslayer Really doesn't matter believe it or not

I have my CB antenna on my Trunk in the center and my radio antenna is on the rear of my car on drivers side and its always up generally

  • @robm425 my dad who has been drivin 18 wheelers for 19 years and that's how he has all ways said to set it up but he is tryin to squeeze every mile of broadcast out of his system

  • can CB radios be used at home for emergencies ? good video for your first.

  • @coolguysparky In word, yes. But if the band is "open" at the time of the emergency, it renders the radios ineffective. I recall the time I couldn't make contact with some I could see 1/2 mile away. Get licensed as a ham & use FM or go with GMRS, requires license or the unlicensed but no test FRS MURS services

  • Comment removed

  • @deviousconkerer, if you talk on ch 9 you can actually avoid getting pulled over altogether. Just get on and give your handle, exact speed and location, and the dispatcher will tell any smokies in the area that you're cool.

  • @MrPomeroyWatson

WRONG!!!!!!!! Ch. 9 is only for emergencies only!!! It is monitored by police in some area

    I don't appreciate jokes.

  • @robm425 yeah i sumtimes go to channel nine and no1 is tlkn there except for like cops sumtimes in my area

  • Just put a really old (I'm assuming) Clarion CB radio with 4 different parts on it, but still working. I have the only Ford Escort Wagon in Maine with a CB, I bet.

    Regular channel is 19, right?

What happens if you talk on 9?

  • 19 is the trucker channel, 9 is the emergency channel which is constantly monitored by local law enforcement and rescue services in most part of the country as far as i know (usa). its advised not to talk on 9 unless theres an actual emergency or anything you want the police to hear.

  • Thanks

  • 27mhz not used much on am in australia, but we all use 477mhz uhf cb on channel 40 > 477.400 fm here

  • Watch my other video and you will see I am not showing my detector but my Concealed display. My detector is mounted high next to my rear-view mirror and perfectly level

How about you actually contribute videos to youtube before you criticize!

  • Thanks for uploading this video!

can you tell me if your CB radio made those sounds the "KA" sound? did you have a radar detector installed or something ? I live in a state that doesn't allow radar detectors

  • Yeah I have a radar detector in my car.

So I am going to assume you live in Virginia as that is the only state where detectors are illegal in cars.

BUT There are 3 radar detectors which are invisible to police Radar Detector Detectors. BEL STi, Escort Redline, Escort 9500ci

So mount them in a hidden location and you are golden

  • sweet thanks!

never knew about the CB radio so definitely gonna get it. do you know if the CB radio is illegal in any state ?

  • CB radio's are 100% legal in all 50 states and canada and mexico. CB = Citizen Band.

Buy ther radio from a reputable CB shop, I recommend Sparky's CB Shack (google them) and get a decent antenna and you are golden!

  • sweet I'll have to write that brand down.

    thanks

  • Its not a brand name. Its an only store that sells CB Radio's of different brands like Cobra, Uniden or Galaxy's, plus a few others

  • @robm425 cb is illegal in delaware. and remember, $1 radio and $100 antenna is the key. in comparison to a $100 radio and a $1 antenna. ex: when i got started in cb, i had a $60 radioshack and a $20magmount. i changed it to a wilson 1000 and i owned.

  • thats 81 northbound Cortland

  • they should call them "Pigs" instead of "Bears"

  • they are called bears because the state troopers in most states wear the "Smokey the bear" hats. County cops are called county mounties, city cops are city kitties. D.O.T. bears are called soper troopers, diesel bears, or revenuers.

  • yes it works good,I'm a trucker

  • pretty weird and funny music

  • whats that detector you had going off?

  • Valentine 1..great on highways but horrible in urban (false A LOT in urban areas) cost about $430

  • @ZoGishere

Um last time I checked it was on $400 when purchased directly from Valentine One themselves!!!!!

Also If you utilize the K-band automute features for logic and advance logic is really quiets the V1 down. The only detectors that are quieter than a V1 used with the filtering modes is the Escort detectors with GPS false lockout spots Otherwise they false just as much

  • i always wondered how the escort doesn't false as much..but i got my valentine 1 and will not trade it for anything it cost $430 for me cuz i got some accessories with it.....im also running a peaked and tuned CB with little will antenna...works wonders for detecting speed traps sometimes the truck drivers are more informative then the V1..but still awesome

  • @ZoGishere

Escort's antennas are generally proven in the lab to be slightly less senstive than that of the V1. Escort also ignores extreme short blasts of radar before alerting.

Google search "Valentine One Report 3'

and then enable K-band Automute I run a full 30seconds mute unmuting at 4 LEDs and I mute the rear antenna totally. Also turn off pop.

That will limit the falsing of your V1 alot

  • @eleetgamer

Citizen Band Radio's are NOT illegal in any of the 50 US States! I use a CB all over the US with no issues

You need no special license at all. Just buy one radio and a good antenna andyou are set to use a CB.

  • @OchrismongrelO

CB radios or Citizen Band radios are in no way illegal! Check the laws buddy

  • @OchrismongrelO

yeah but who uses a linear? Nobody I know, AND what do linear amps have to do with this video? I am not talking about them nor do I have a linear or say I do in the video info

  • everybody uses linears go check channel 6 the superbowl

  • Actually not really most people have moved away from linears since ham radios have more power stock. In mobile sets-ups linears are very rare

  • @robm425 no wayyyy linears are more in mobiles than bases unless theyre hams. if youre mobile with an amp on cb...think about how HARD itll be for the fcc to tag you. on base setups, youre keying up from the same location. every time. a few buddies of mine that run amps from their home got hit with some fines a year or so ago. im down the block from them and didnt get hit with anything. i have 100w xmitting.

  • @OchrismongrelO true. around here, if you didnt use an amp, you arent heard.

  • it is legal to transmit up to 1.5 kW power using linear amplifiers

  • @Texancubsfan001 it is illegal to transmit anything over 4 watts on CB. also illegal to put ANYTHING inline from your radio to your antenna except for a SWR meter.

  • cb is really useful for traffic updates, speed traps etc, I always call out on the 19 to let people know about stuff like that

  • that's awesome man! I heard truckers talking on my beloved cb just today about a cop and knew where he was (he was moving) long before i got to him. (not that i was doing anything illegal lol)

  • whats the title of this song?

  • DJ Mystik - Inspector Gadget (Techno Remix)

    Its in 'More Info' section

  • thanks i was watchin it on mobile

  • Sorry .. but can someone please tell me what a cb radio is :)

  • Citizen Band Radio. Its a radio that is largely used by truckers these days but was used by non-truck drivers in the 70s and such. Before there were cell phones this is what drivers used to get help on the side of the road.

Google "citizen band radio" and you will find more information

  • @robm425 cant tell what model cb you have looks pretty compact

  • Uniden 510xl

  • LMAO Just heard that Ontario (Canada) has banned civilians using hand held devices INCLUDING CB Radios, PTT Phones/Walkie Talkies while driving. Commercial vehicles are exempt for 3 years until hands free devices are invented for CB radios then it will be illegal for ANYONE to use a PTT mic. Complete bullshit. How many times have you heard of someone getting into an accident because they were talking on a CB Radio?

  • there is no screen to look at on my CB mic. Personally I will continue to use my CB in canada the same way with the handheld mic. as this law is stupid

  • @jigsaw1984 NONE. PLUS Delaware just made cb's illegal also.

  • When I get my Dodge Dakota, I'm putting a CB in it. Callin' it right now. Will I use it much? Nope. Is it still awesome? Hell yes.

  • @JETZcorp youll be surprised. once you get bitten by the cb bug, ill stay in your system. youre going to talk to locals and go bigger and better.

  • what type of antenna and CB do you have? i have a 29LTD let me know cause my antenna is shit thanks

  • Wilson 500 magnetic mount. Wilson makes the best cb antenna

  • yeah i got some crap one at pilot in newburgh idk if your familiar with that part of NY im round there, my antenna light keeps comin on every time i want to speak and i can barely hear people. where did you pick up that wilson?

  • I picked mine up on Ebay...Many places online have them and some truck stops have them. One thing I suggest you do is have your radio peaked and tuned by a professional as it will make sure your radio is working properly. Cobra radio's from the factory aren't the best. So I always have a radio tech go over all my radios

  • alright will do. thanks alot.

  • @robm425 in terms of steel whip, yes. get a wislon 1000 or 5000. best hands down cheap-ish cb antenna.

  • My uncle gave me a CB Radio today :)

  • what is the song in the backround

    ??

  • DJ Mystik - Inspector Gadget (Techno Remix)
