  • I heard this song today for the first time, don't think it was Sinatra though... It was played on an public radio station out of a local church that plays old time music during the day, I immediately fell in love with it. So inspiring to memory..... Just beautiful...

  • @BrokeMoFo That's how I felt when I first heard the song! I think I heard it sung by a woman first but this is the best ever version I think.

  • This is such a wonderful song! Has such a sweet story, and then having Frank sing it-- couldn't be better!

  • Made for homesick G I s serving overseas no doubt.

  • Yo can find this song on a Frank sinatra Christmas album" A Merry Christmas" that is at Big Lots on sale after Christmas for 90% off. I paid $.40 on a $4.oo CD.

  • Thank you, again, for this post. Where did you get this song? I cannot find it on an album. I would love to buy it. Thanks again for this great song.

  • @necktieguy1 I downloaded it online from the Amazon website.

  • What a stylist! Every word is sung with that "Sinatra feeling" that made him the incredible performer he was. Thanks for this post.

  • Frank was fine! I'm drooling at this picture!! :o)

  • Frank was very much like Jo Stafford. He could sing anything and sound like an angel...it stuck with them for their whole career, too.

  • A lot of people seem to be commenting on the photo, hehe -- what a shame you can't remember where you found it! I haven't seen it before either, and what a beauty it is. He looks very handsome.

Sweet song to go with it. :)

  • Mr.Sinatra.i just want to say ,man you were and are an awesome. Some singers are cooll, some for amoment.Frank, you are eternal and will never be forgotten. Thanks for everything. We miss you. Maxwell

  • A sensitive guy with a big heart. His tangle with Ava was self-destructive. That rich, great voice was something the world was all the better for. I'm a guy, for sure not gay, but loved this voice, and his fight to recoup all he'd lost when down. A tough guy. And that should explain his emotional range, what he was was what you heard.

  • where did you get this pic? I collect picture of Frankie.... don't have this one.

  • I found it online when searching search engines for a nice young picture of him to go with the song - sorry I can't remember exactly.

  • @meritz59 actually it is a nice pic

  • No one else could have made so beautiful a job of this.

A lesser singer would have made it all schmaltzy.

  • I totally agree with you. I've heard a few versions of the song and this is the best.

  • I think it was a very rare gift, to be able to put across almost any lyric as if every word of it meant all the world to him.

But then, I quite like these lyrics, as well.

  • Me too, I love this song, the lyrics are beautiful. Al Bowlly also has that gift, to put meaning into every lyric he sings.

  • blue eyes has them swooning in heaven,,, or swingin in hell... wherever he went... he's still the real King...

  • I've not heard this one , but it is a nice song all the same. Also Frank was a handsome guy then.Great pic.

  • This is a Sinatra song I cannot remember having heard before .

    Thank you for posting it.:)

  • im not gay but this guy is good looking cat

  • You don't have to be gay to admire Ol' Blue Eyes, liu11. =]

    Good sounding cat, to boot.

  • Excellent song...........

    thanks

  • This is a beautiful and moving song; the music, lyrics, and the way he sings. You've also chosen a really nice photograph.
