Hitler's legacy is that no one wants to look like him - when his burned flesh found the worms, it marked the end of the "toothbrush moustache" - If he had a soul, karma is dealing with it....
It's almost ironically funny to see Hitler like this, socialising with friends and doing little jigs on a pateo. One of the most notorious people in history just acting so...can't find the right word...human. They never actually taught us about either world wars in detail at school, I didn't even know the dates until I looked them up for myself. But I don't think it's fair to not mention this side of Hitler, I mean it doesn't excuse what he did, but people I know simply regard him as a monster
You didn't discuss the 2 WW in school very detailed? I am sorry to say, but that might explain to a point why british people still have most prejudices among the Europeans if it is about Germans.
You can imagine that both wars, especially WWII and the Third Reich are major topics in German schools. Not only in History, but also in German class, yes, even in Religion and French class.
Of course Hitler was also a human being - as well as all other Nazis. Though he was unbelievable cruel.. =(
jimmysmers needs to calm down but he is right, mass media has an EXTREMELY powerful pull over the people. I learned from Glenn Beck how to have my bomb shelter stocked, firearms loaded, and brain scooped out for his further instructions to thwart the schemes of international Jewry/ wait Islam... right?
For a example, there is a reason beyond me why I am entranced by the Kennedys. I love them and I know my condition is because of the media.
I find it odd that people like you will whine incessantly about how Germans in the Third Reich were brainwashed and yet you somehow imagine that you today are ABOVE being brainwashed, oh NOT YOU, that couldn't happen to YOU.
Maybe you have been watching a bit too much Goebbels Media Inc. A side effect of watching his productions are: unhinged fanaticism, a distaste for all non-Aryans, and being entranced by suicidal cults.
My guess is that Hitler needed glasses, but his PR people would not let him wear them! Imagine Hitler with the round, dark style of the day? *LOL* They would not go with that mustache!
HAHA, I wonder how Hitler would be like having his own show accompanied by a dog called Scooben von Doo and a robot called Fredrich, together fighting crime and solving myseteries around the globe, from stopping the pesky Jews from taking over the world economy to teaming with old friend like Hirohito-chan and chopping off Chinese citizens and kidnapping Korean women.
LOLLL amig90 that would be awesome, Scooben von Doo and his scoobie treats-- in the pilot Thelma could be sent away for her "unpleasantness". What other animated shows could encapsulated historical figures and events??? LOL Hirohito in Manchuria capturing all goons out there, it could be a excellent to have kids be terrified of non-existent communist threat.
Hirihito was actually a fan of Disney movies. There was a picture of him hugging a Mickey Mouse figure back in the 50s or 60s when the fist Disney land was opened up in Japan.
Agreed ... great documentary! Although ... depends on what you mean by militarism. Don't let features, deeds, and displays from the Nazis taint those for other forces and nations. Like a lot of things, it was the crazed excesses of the Third Reich that was so awful, not the general rule of certain things.
FYI - THE BEST way to see if you want to buy the whole series is to rent them from Netflix/blockbuster. Netflix has the entire series, and with a cheap one month membership - or even free trial, you can see them all! Most good library systems also have the full 26 hour series on VHS or DVD & "Making of" DVD. If not, ask them to get it!
Adolf with children.
Adolf with dog.
Adolf with a magnifying glass.
Adolf with friends, out for a walk.
Adolf with bucket.
That part sounded odd

That brief segment with Himmler and Heydrich is really creepy. They both look so middle-class and innocent.

It is a great song and portrays the real Hitler rather than the fake one the Jews have brainwashed you with.
