  • I wonder who has the VH1 Classic live performance of this tune, in which the group performs alongside members of Styx and REO Speedwagon? It is notable in that Neal Schon is playing an amplified acoustic/electric guitar, which near the end sounds truly electric.

  • @ClassicTVMan1981X I actually do have it on my Comp. I uploaded it once, but it got rejected by Youtube because of Copyright...arghhhh. If you want it I can email it to you if you would like?

  • Augeri has a vulnerability that Perry did not exude, which adds to his charm. He was never Perry's vocal equal, but he did his best and hung in there. The man earned his star.

  • Sounds pretty good with Augeri, but I can't help hating it a little bit, since I really want Steve Perry on vocals...

  • Absolutely loved that they sang this song live - I remember seeing it in New Hampshire - Steve A came out on stage barefoot at that show and sat on a stool and they did this song acoustically. PERFECT! Thanks for sharing this!

  • Amazing version. I like it.

  • Way too cool! How come they never do this rare stuff in Seattle? God bless you Steve Augeri. You are an aewsome talent and are greatly missed. Definately a class act my friend!

  • I miss him too. Not only did he do justice to Perry's songs but he also contributed to the songwriting, and the band seemed to actually grow and mature. Now it seems like they are just a tribute band, content to recycle all the Perry classics (Did they have to re-record them all?) I saw them in concert last year and they didn't play one single song from the Augeri era.

  • @OlympicLeprechaun

They played "Faith in the Heartland" everytime i saw them

  • this is okay...perry's version was way better......i think augeri is trying to make it his own....a real fan like me wants it to be as close to the real thing that perry did...

  • yeah but if you try to copy perry, then it won't be fun to watch or hear. So a little adaptation and changing around is good too.

  • Yea true...also this is live....so its could sound better...but still...fantastic job by Augeri.

  • Great!!!

  • This song is in the TIME3 set by Journey/SP

    CD3.Great song.

  • This is such classic Journey - can't friggin' believe this was never 'released'!

  • Quick clarification... this song is also on the remastered Frontiers CD.

  • This song is only on the box set I believe.

Fantastic tune. Augeri does it justice.

  • This is a cool tune done by both STEVE's!

  • I love this song and never hear it. When is this from? It's great, thank you.

  • THANKS AGAIN LADDI!!!! This is a pretty good song, really amazing. Augeri MUST sing again.

  • What a great song- what a surprise!! thank god for people that record at concerts or we would never have a chance to hear any material with Steve A. other than on the few albums released by the band! Thanks you laddiola101 !!!

  • i know!! the people that record these things are amazing, and i dont know how i could thank them!!!!!!!!!
