Ipods do the same thing, mine has done it to me many times but after 4 years it is still working. You have to let the battery run out, it's not a problem with the Zune etc. itself it's usually from not ejecting it properly or possibly from using your computer or x-box to much while it's plugged in. Every time my Ipod did that it didn't reset.

I will concee it that Microsoft has really dropped the ball, and really they need to get their asses in gear and start putting out good products. However, if your Zune is still frozen (like mine), they will fix it for you free of charge. They pay for shipping as well. At least customer service is good. I think microsoft had this "accident" to slough off the old 30 Gig owners (like me). What happens when your Zune freezes well first unless you memorized the manual you check the website. When you find the tips for freezing you follow them. The only one that seemed to work is the open your zune and reset the battery deal. WHich means WARRENTY VOID oh well still am a Microsoft fan and people who buy dells... please open your eyes and build you own

It was a bug with the clock converting over to 2009.Matt from the Zune team said the problem will fix itself when the internal clock converts over the 2009.I was a victim of Z2K as well.

Also, to anyone who hasn't been to the support site, Microsoft believes the Zune 30 will fix itself as soon as its internal clock turns to midnight, Jan 1 2009. It's a RTC firmware glitch relating to how the device handles leap years.

Make sure your battery is drained completely, and after midnight, charge it up and and should turn on.

Reports indicate that this is an issue with the fact that 2008 is a leap year and has 366 days. No word yet on if or how this can be solved. Who knows, maybe tomorrow when the day of the year cycles back to 1 they'll all start working again.
