piracy is a small problem, games with decent multiplayer component are still bought as you can't crack that, movies show up on torrents usually after a few months (before only as low quality cam recordings) so theater incomes aren't affected, music .m well tell that to online music stores like iTunes amazon etc. Most people don't risk pirating something if they can afford it or unworthy of superprice.

Piracy is like a formula in mathematics. It works for something but it's not to be used in everything. Piracy is the answer to shitty movies but we must support unique,original, well crafted movies like District 9,Inception,Dark Knight,The Town,Gone Baby Gone etc. Some movies have real value and people shed blood,sweat and tears to produce them and deserve 7 dollars or 9. But for overpriced 3D shit like Clash of Titans(which I've never seen in any way) I say open your Bit Torrents.
