My "gripe" as you call it is the fact that I continuously see people calling the Raiders the worst NFL team ever....and no one ever mentions that they are STILL 3rd best overall record of the 32 teams. Probably because most are too young to realize that teams that are currently doing well also went through down times also. I've seen it all. I'm a Raiders season ticket holder since 1980.

Why use a decade as the measuring stick? Let's use EVERY decade...back to 1960. Raiders are #3 in win percentage, only 2 teams better....even when you include those 7 years you want to dwell on. Every team has ups and downs. The Saints had a 15 year period of losing seasons I believe. The Patriots had a prolonged down period. No one stays on top forever.

I made a worse teams of the decade video because a decade had just come to a close. I have no interest in going back to the 1960s or the 1930s or anything like this. This video is simply about the past 10 years. Am I not allowed to focus on the past 10 years only? I think that I am.

It doesn't matter if they were good at the very beginning of the last decade. The point is, they absolutely stunk in the 7 years that followed that Superbowl appearance.

the Saints were awful in the 1970's and most of the 1990's and for a few years in the 1990's. However, they really weren't bad in the first decade of the 2000's. They made it to the playoffs 3 times. That's enough to keep them off of a worst 5 teams list. They've also competed in a very highly competitive divison (Panthers, Falcons, Bucs), which hurt them in trying to get wins the last couple seasons. They were never truly BAD in the past 10 years. They had some decent seasons.

Well 8-8 isnt bad, but it is pretty bad when just that last season they were in the NFC Championship. Yes the Saints have been ok to good the past couple of seasons but I dont think they can come back from top 5 worst NFL teams of the decade (In my eyes at least)

If the players weren't "expected" to be good, then that's the GM's, as well as their scouts', fault. Also, if the Lions knew better, they COULD have traded those top-10 1st round picks to a team that wanted to get into the top-10, since, every year, it appears that there's a team that wants to take a chance on a player by moving-up; with that, the Lions get some deeper round picks & (possibly) have 2 1st round picks for the next draft, to which they build "something" called a "team" (ALA: Pats).

I would swap the Browns and the Bills around since the Browns made the playoffs once this past decade, but I agree with the list of teams in general. All 5 of these franchises have been awfully managed this past decade.

the only reason why I had the Browns as a worse team was because the Browns had a lot of 10 plus loss seasons.  while the Bill didn't make the playoffs, they had a few 8-8 and 7-9 seasons, so on average, they didn't suck as much as the Browns did.
