@CrickyJacob I think I've decided that the best complement I can get is people who actually believe it's fake. It means I did a pretty damned good job. Like I said, some of the keys are really tiny, so you can't see the actual key, but the switch still lights up.

Some of the notes are really small so that they could be positioned accurately. The switches are still lighting up.

Probably took about 6 hours of just placing stuff on the wheel. Before that there was probably a good 6 more hours of failed designs and then trying to figure out how this one would work.

It's not published, though I've been getting a lot of requests so I should probably go ahead and do that.

That was awesome. It would be a good idea on how to make like a working stereo. You pull a level and it makes a make shift stereo jump up and down and hook the same lever up to the wheel and make it spin on command.

Yeah, I did some experiments shrinking it down and having it follow you for background music. It seemed to work pretty well. Also if you wanted to make a longer song you could just chain a bunch of them together. Once one finishes, it just hits a switch that stops it and starts the next one.

With lots of time and patience.

The explanation for how it works is in the description of the video. Basically the magnetic keys on the wheel hit the switches on the line like keys on a piano. Each internal circle represents all the times a specific note is hit.

Then it was just a matter of getting the sheet music for the mario theme song and sticking it on the wheel.. which took about 6 hours. Note this method has an advantage over other music levels because it doesn't take up the entire level.
