You got to understand what Tak is going thru; remember, the only other car he has driven is the 85, so his 86 was still king. It is true that he has beaten many "modern" cars, but being in the dark as to how much better they were than his, he could just do as he does and focus; now he understands first hand that he's an underdog as far as hardware goes. He must be thinking about all those times that he won due to some act of nature evening out the difference; but without that.......?

I don't think we ever got Bunta's 2-door STi here in the States. We got the 2.5RS (a 2-door Imprezza with a N/A 2.5L motor [instead of the turbo 2.0L in the WRX]), but that was it for that body style. Correct me if I'm wrong,,,,,but I don't think I am, since there would be lots and lots of people tuning them here if there were.

@HalfBreedMix correct the first wrx brought to the states was in 02.....before that the rs was here in 1998 and up ......before that there was only the 2.2 liter impreza l .....this is a v5 sti .....id guess 1996 or 97 .....no way to import them here so the next best thing is to do a jdm 2.0 swap in to one.

i think the impreza works well in the standard gold and blue, its what makes the impreza stand out more than any other i think. but yeah, that specific impreza i found out recently is one of 799 i think. only a very very limited number was ever produced. its funny, because of the show, i noticed that my liking of cars is similar. i love the mazdas, have a mazda3 myself and i love the imprezas
