  • No...it's not cantonese or manadrin it's taiwanese! Hahahah. j/k

  • IT's definitely in cantonese.

  • top singer

  • this was great. good job! the mandarin version of this is also great lol

  • This would be one of those times where I would shake my fist at my parents and demand to know why they didn't keep teaching me Cantonese. I only understand bits and pieces of this dang song. ;-;

  • hahaha

    i wish i know Cantonese :D

  • its not Cantonese, its in mandarin....

  • its not Cantonese, its in mandarin....

  • its not Cantonese, its in mandarin....

  • It's in Cantonese. Believe me, my family speaks it on a daily basis and if it was in Mandarin it'd sound waaaayyyy smoother instead of choppy as it does here. And if it was Mandarin, sounds like "DAP" and "NGOH" wouldn't really be present.

  • its mandarin i can understand it. it just has a really thick Cantonese accent

  • It's not Mandarin, it's Cantonese. The Mandarin lyrics don't even SOUND like this. Go look up Wu Jian Dao on Ting Dong under Andy Lau's song lyrics, and then apply what you said to those lyrics. Accent or no accent, I'm pretty sure no one can screw up the two languages THAT badly.

  • it's cantonese.

  • It's Cantonese cause I don't understand Mandarin but I can understand this so that means it's Canto.

  • It is in Cantonese

  • lol..this is cantonese

  • That's me to. I used to speak fluent Canto, but when I started going to school I forgot most of it. I only know basic because they happened to teach my cousin only Canto and no English.

  • Same here. And I just finished my first semester of Chinese I (which is Mandarin), but I'm much more familiar with Cantonese. It's easier to pronounce in any case. XD

  • Your lucky you get to take classes. I was going to, but I found out that the classes already started so I couldn't go. I agree, Canto is so much easier to learn.

  • I managed to get in because it was the spring semester. I'm going to have problems with the fall semester sign-up because I need to get my concurrent enrollment form signed and turned in before fall semester starts. And it has to be signed by my high school counselor, so I'm screwed. XD; I'm sad that Canto is somewhat disappearing.

  • OMG same here. I understand canto but it's hard for me to speak so i wanted to learn but there are no classes for canto.

  • I can understand and speak it but my knowledge is limited to household conversation and some SLIGHT pissed talking from those rare moments where my family gets pissed off. There are classes for Canto here, but I'd have to take an hour (or more) long drive to the classes. xP

  • Did you take the classes in

    High school?

  • No. My high school only offers Spanish, American Sign Language, and French. I have to take it at a nearby community college in the evenings.

  • Really nice..Thx for posting...classic. Any one has the lyrics?

  • Even Eric Tsang is better then Jack Nicholson is this Movie, and as always the original is better that the adapted ,i think the American Version should change the title from The Departed become The Adapted :P, appreciated Martin Job which make HK movie more popular & even if i'm not wrong (correct me if i'm wrong)because of this movie Martin won his first 1st oscar usually he is only nominated, anyway seeing HK version makes me highlighted 2 best Actor at the moment Andy Lau and Tony Leung..

  • Hey, if anyone has any link to lyrics; or translation, please send to me, I am desperite... ~ Thank you.

  • 劉德華把這首「無間道」主題曲演繹得出神入化。

  • Andy Lau sings very well and looks smart in this video. I really love him!

  • So we think that another HK movie is a better version of an American version....WHAT ELSE IS NEW!!! HK RULES FOREVER! But I do like the line from the Departed: "Maybe, Maybe not, Maybe Fck yourself." It sounds like something someone would say in Cantonese! LOL

  • So if you're looking for a heavy toned crime thriller, the infernal affairs. But if you're an action junkie and is looking for some entertainment with an all time great storyline, The Departed.

  • Where the HK version kept the action off screen and uses tension of "a bullet in the barrel instead of a bullet fired", Scorsese's Departed has action all through the film. While some might say that this is a bad adaptation to the original master piece of a script, as an action movie the departed is more entertaining. Its also some what art cult, to the extent of its work of the Boston culture.

  • This script is an all time classic! Its potentially explosive straight from the start with well crafted characters trapped in the situation.

  • Martin S won an oscar with the Departed based on this movie.

  • HK's version is sooo much betta! Martin tried to cram it all in one movie and now he's goin' for a sequel which doesn't leave much to the imagination let alone a new plot and a new script. anything based off Infernal Affairs, I have high expectations for it and sadly, I prefer HK's version. [=

  • The HK version focuses on the plot and the situation of the characters, as a crime thriller it is one of the all time greats. But its not wrong to say that Scorsese has a whole different movie in mind. He took the same storyline and put it in an American gangster action movie.

  • Andy was singing with Tony Leung

  • I love this movie. Tony and Andy are such good partners in acting! I luv them!

  • great movie and gtrat guys...

    love Andy!!

  • wow beyond wrote this? bad ass!

  • the holy grail of hk movies!

  • this great song was written by Beyond..and such a great song for Andy and Tony to sing.

  • this song is freaking good. my favorite, because of TONY AND ANDY

  • yes!

  • this is sing by andy and tony right?

  • I mean duet, not duel of course ;)

  • It's a duel with Tony Leung Chiu Wai - his adversary from the movie :)
