  • Taiwan has legalised prostitution in areas designated by local governments. This is possible since Taiwan is NOT an allied country with the US;the US has NO defence commitmenmt with Taiwan(TRA is only a piece of paper) US has little influence inside Taiwanese society, Taiwan has not bought old US meat,US won't sell major weapons(like the F16 Block 52) to Taiwan. So Taiwan can go its own way. Totally different situation than Korea.

  • They are now all torn down. But so are the legal stores (eateries etc) nearby. And the 100-year old train faciloty between station and computer market will also being torn down, with some rails already having been removed. The redevelopment has started,a much larger scale project than the completed four rivers.

  • how much do the korean hooks cost at the red light districts or massage parlors?

  • heard they do like foreginers

    they only want korean men?

  • Even now more than 10,000 korean hookers are sucking dicks on abroad.

    50,000(Japan),30,000(U.S.),15,000(China),2500(Australia),others are

    Singapore,Taiwan,Hong Kong,Vietnam,EU....

  • This place ceased operation on mid November,2010 when all owners left the place. Now almost all "stores" have been dismantled. However, there seem to be less than 10 still running, with very old women inside. Don't go there.

  • @xxwzaebd then which place could you advice us for high quality girls ? lol

  • Go to a country where it is legal.

  • dude yongsan where XD??!?@??

  • Don't guys ever feel sorry for some of these girls? Sure some are in it for the money but most are forced into this either by debts and lies. The pimps/gang makes it impossible for the girls to ever pay back their debts cuz they charge the girls for the room they stay in, the food they over charge to the girls and they lock some of the girls in the rooms at night so they can't run away. Stop promoting this kind of stuff, not just Korea but any country. Girls age 12 sell their body for money...T

  • People should stay the hell away from the red light districts anyways. It's the easiest place to get mugged.

  • Korea is going to eradicate all types of prostitution(now that all brothels have been eliminated) but Taiwan will legalise it next year. This is because Taiwan and Korea have totally different geopolitical environments. Many Americals I know are very angry because some EU countries have legalised/decriminalised prostitution. Legal in singapore too but the US couldn't save a boy from being caned there. Thus, prostitution=geopolitical issue.

  • @xxwzaebd In Korea, it's all lipservice. They enforce it on paper, for purposes of international reputation, but it is still happening, and very much public. A few places have been removed in the past year or so, but that's more about building pricey real estate being built in those areas. When Korea starts busting more room salons, where businessmen and dirty politicians get their college-aged hookers, then I'll believe the "zero tolerance" policy.

  • Nobody goes to the remaining brothels which are open but in fact out of business. I have noticed CCTV cameras in such places and people hide their faces even if they pass there for other things. (The place shown here is now a parking lot) They are not satisfied with closing the brothels and other places of prostitutions; they are now going to close not only the so-called "kiss rooms" (many girls already are quitting because of this) and also "talk rooms" which offer no physical contact.

  • Korea has done much more than other countries while others like Germany ,Netherland or Australia have done nothing related. Actually, there are areas where Korea was rewarded by the US-Koreans can enter US easier than Germans now and also export control of certain items has been eased for Korea. European countries have done almost nothing against human trafficking;brothels are wide open still their governments ignore the US.

  • @xxwzaebd And I should add that many Korean businesses (as in the largest) give managers above a certain level a credit card that is used for "entertainment purposes" to schmooze clients. This is their hooker card, and boy, do they use it! Almost 60% of wives in Korea still control the money in households (traditional) and give husbands an allowance. This company card is something the wife never sees, so the husband can cheat to his heart's content. Sad but true. Not everyone, but many.

  • This was quite common until some time ago. But many people got caught because they used these credit cards-it is quite easy to trace such transactions. Many others were caught by internet traffic monitoring/auditing which is much more extensive than in other countries(with the exception of,maybe,China). Others are identified by CCTVs ;ID takes only a few seconds. People who do it overseas are also caught. Korea=world's most perfect surveillance society.

  • Is prostitutes legal there?

  • @SmoothCriminalAaron korean girls love whites

if you are a white, you can get korean chiks easily.

  • @jogjog22 hmm that was not even the awnser to my question yet I thank you to death for telling me this. How can I get Korean chick in N.America? Cause that's where I am for now?

  • Has been illegal since 1948. Law changes in 2004 resulted in closing all of the brithels which started to exist with the Japanese occupation in 1910. The dismantling of the Yongsan brothel may be completed by now. I saw the northern part being torn down last month but didn't go near there since I didn't need new computer components recently. Korea is now a feminist matriarchy society.

  • @xxwzaebd Rise Up My Friend, Demand from your corrupt government!

  • na - it looks like the gals in that place dont cater to foreigners! Koreans and Japanese hookers are racist. Coz they dont like to have xxx with whites out of stupid reasons

  • Anyway, don't look for such places in Seoul. They are no more; one in the southern area of Seoul is being hermetically sealed off(the only one remaining not dismantled, but thus non-operational). Aside from legality, these places were problem for urban hygiene since they stink. Anyway, they are gone for good, history now. I only hope that the girls I knew live well.

  • This place was dismantled recently for redevelopment, together with other buildings. Passed there quite often just to watch the girts, didn;t do anything. Some girls became friends of mine. Was until 6 years ago; then, with the new law. this place declined rapidly.Goodbye Yongsan redlight.

  • @xxwzaebd what about the one in suwon?

  • Haven't been around there recently but none of the very few remaining should be assumed actually operating.

  • @xxwzaebd You passed by there and "became friends" with the girls? *laugh*

  • i ve got an advice for all guys, dont get into prostitution in SEL! According to recent laws, customer can also get taken into custody....

(as far as im concerned, in yongsan they dont serve foreigners) Ur better off jerkin off or just wait till ur girlfriend arrives in KOR

  • gross

  • The term "red-light district" was first recorded in the United States in 1894, in a newspaper article in The Milwaukee Sentinel of Wisconsin.[citation needed] There are numerous references to the term from the 1890s, from locations all over the United States. The term is derived from the legal requirement at one time for brothels to display a red light. - Wikipedia

  • LOL where does "Red light district" come from? You copied it from the chinese?

  • People, just think of as Amsterdam. You have a camera, you will get chased down.

  • This just proves that women are bitches and whores no matter where in the world you are

  • LMAO and how did you walk down the street with a cam with out a pimp coming up to you and asking for money

  • Their homes have glass walls so people can ??? window shop?

  • pretty cheap,2 dollars each,but u have 2 tolerate the bad smell(mixed of kimchi,dogs and rats)

  • pretty hot

  • I have seen people arrested there on spot and that was before 2004.

  • @Sarah01181225 why so hostile? you american woman? how much kilo you weight?

  • its not that fun being a prostitute u no its kinda scary to

  • how much money they need in korea :D ? 10 $ bucks ?

  • @dizzt5 South Korea is one of the richest nations in the world. so 10 bucks wouldn't get you anywhere but like 2 cheap meals or 1 good meal.

  • this video fails hardcore - put a pair of a scissors up to your eyes and just start running till everything suddenly stops.

  • LOL! Now I know why it's called "red light district". Nothing but red and shinny!

  • They are being dismantled to make place for huge construction projects. Construction and real estate will replace the former knowledge-based economy which settled during the last decade.

  • wow, I love this place: I wanna go there! how much do I have to pay for a nice fuk n suk fiesta?

  • @DrBukcake Usually it's not very much but to fuck you, they'll probably charge a lot more than normal.

  • Don't go there. I have seen people being arrested on the spot for going there when I went buying computer supplies; just stay away. This place is expected to be dismantled to make place for new construction projects.Japan is much more lenient in this matter and I guess this is the reason why the US upper class doesn't like Japan.

  • This is Korea,Dear. It's the place near to Center of Electronics (Gadgets) Market

  • That's Korea, you can tell by the street pavings and the way in which the stores are organized Sarah ma;am.

  • So you were there. Is that the reason you know all about this?

Prosititute places are everywhere on this planet including YOUR COUNTRY!

p.s. and don't go there, baby..

  • @Sarah01181225 I love korean prostitutes because they have tight pussy unlike fat american women.

  • hey just asking does the red symbolizes something with prositiution???

  • No, It's Red Light! . Most of the countries prostitutes located at Red Light (Traffic Light).

  • @breiggthomas, the red light district is not called red light because of stop lights. its because red was used to symbolize virginity. prostitutes are different then those who work in red light districts.

  • some people in korea call this as yellow house

  • Look`s like the Camera man found the prostitute he wanted and stopped filming after 10 seconds hahahaha

  • No...I Ran after 10 seconds filming, since one of them is yelling coz of my camera. :-s

  • @breiggthomas ive heard that they are really watching ppl with camera, hope you have a hidden cam or spy cam, are in you still in korea? can u give us a longer video

  • @breiggthomas haha you're lucky that not caught by pimps, they will beat you down if they saw you with filming.

  • @consoleman09 I guess he was non-Asian so pimps won't be able to beat him down, but they can give him a scary warning.

  • @punture2, pimps will chase him up but won't follow all the way. Only losers take photos of some brothels that he was visiting.

  • Anyway, Korea is now enforcing a zero tolerance policy on such things.

  • "Korea is now enforcing a zero tolerance policy on such things."

Nope...that's a lie. They always say shit like they're gonna stop it but they never do. I know a bunch of people who work in this area and in the police, and they tell me that's all bullshit.

  • Good to Hear that..

  • @breiggthomas Are you fucking kidding me?

  • @xxwzaebd B U L L C R A P! Shutting down 1 or 2 RLDs does not mean they now have a 0 tolerance policy, I assure you. Police boxes are located right at the corner of many of the RLDs I have seen in my years in Korea, and the RLDs just keep chugging along.

  • Then, why have over 200,000 men caught in usch places and become convicted criminals since 2004? (and some before that)There are no more really operating brothels since the CCTVs and other means of tracking and the consequences of being caught are strong enough to keep people away. Yongsan is gone, but others cannot really operate anymore. You haven't been here recently, maybe during the military rule in the '70-'80s.

  • @xxwzaebd I am living here right now. They are still here, yes Yongsan is closed but others are still open. Some simply have a big banner draped across the street saying it is illegal, but the shops themselves are still open.

  • "Open" only in theory. Anyone trying to get in there gets caught within 5-10 minutes as there are CCTV cameras directly connected to the police stations; positive ID takes only a few seconds. Already 200,000 men have been caught so far. Korea is in a completely different situation than Taiwan or Japan, that's the reason for the current situation. The US will NOT tolerate any loosening of related policies.

  • @xxwzaebd Where are you living? Women hanging out of the glass, guys going in and not getting arrested, I call that "Open". Where is this 200,000 arrest number coming from?

  • They get arrested anyway since there is very strong surveillance. yes, "open" but not really. All they want is real estate compensation since redevelopment is very near and unavoidable. They know that they cannot operate in the future. Yongsan is cited as a successful example of sufficient compensation.

  • @xxwzaebd

    they are still there.

  • Almost all of them left there last November;I saw them leaving when I went to buy a keyboard near there. Very few, apparently with elder women working there, were open till June or so. There may be no more than 2-3 of them left there, due to unresolved compensation issues. The key there was real estate compensation . Even kiss rooms and talk rooms(those without offering ANY physical contact) will be outlawed in the future, as I heard. Sad geopolitics, I would say.

  • @xxwzaebd Some places have been reduced, or closed, but as a foreigner who has lived in Korea for over a decade (and isn't a Korean interested in sugar-coating the truth about this country to save face), prostitution is very much alive and well here. Even national newspapers have photo ads for hookers in between the pages (and not just pictureless classifieds, either). XXwzaebd, go back to Koreasentry where you belong.

  • You just lived about for a century, no more, and that as an outsider. Korea has done much more than others like Europe ,Japan and Taiwan against prostitution ,that is the fact. If you are not satisfied, then go to a Shariah jurisdiction like Saudi Arabia where people are caned for drinking. Or simply go back to your country if you don't like it here.

  • Hahaha national newspapers with hookers photo in there pages as ads? Such things may happen in countries where it is legal. You have never seen a local newspaper, including your own. Korea has , unlike Europe, faithfully followed the US directives to prevent prostitution, that;s all. Neither Europe nor Japan(where human trafficking still exists, unlike in Korea which purged that thing in 1989) have done as much as Korea, if anything at all. Just stay within your narrow ego.

  • @Yeongugwan808 it's not rampant. Those ads with super hot chicks is just a marketing scheme for people to go shitty nightclubs/karoke bars.

Korean american. taught english over the summer and was bored one day so i went to the redlight district in seoul w/ a friend. my friend was a criminology major trying to become a lawyer in S.Korea. he told me how it works.

  • @Yeongugwan808 Karoke bars are the only place where you could get some service but it would probably cost you a shitload of money. They are ugly girls too.

My friend says S. Korea's sex industry is more for the rich people. High end prostitutes earn a lot of money. They cater to the elites in S. Korea like Seoul university alums etc... Business men.

The porn industry is even illegal in S.Korea. As a result, a lot of korean men watch japanese porn.

  • @yellowman88 Yellowman, I have lived in South Korea for a decade now. Don't insult my intelligence. Do you have any idea how laughable westerners find you Koreans who feel the need to lie to save face to the rest of the world. Those of us living here just chuckle.

  • how much in korea?

  • I Don't know how much...being there for couple minutes already make me nervous...:p

  • Up to one year in jail and/or fines if caught. Many people are being arrested for caught going to such places.

  • Haaah I put this video and never check it out again....So Many Disturbing comments. I will clean it up in next couple days.

    Let see whats come up...:)

    Thxs for comments anyway...

  • Let us all settle this compelling debate! :D

Itaewon is a district in the city of Seoul.

A Korean man's size depends on the parents and the rest of the family. (cause its hereditary)

3.7 IS the average size but its not everyone of their's. :)

I'm going off of other comments and of course some of the discussions between my friends about their sex lives. Which I honestly would rather not hear.
