I'm the 9th grade captain on my team. we also work with the JV/Middle School team. I showed the guys this video,I haven't heard one complaint about something hurting.
jaggers just went straight up all out no worries wrestling... he knew there was nothing to lose he was in the finals just go for it. gotta give mendes props though. jaggers is tough
The most under-rated wrestler from years of 2008-2009. This guys is a stud. 2x National Champion while being a low seed. Jaggers wins when it matters most, at the Nationals. If he wasn't hurt his freshman year he would of been a 4x time All-American.
"Ankles will heal, losing doesn't." Great quote from Jaggers after that match. He is the DEFINITION of a tough wrestler. Wow, an amazing performance, and his ankle looked like it took a SERIOUS twist. . .
rpup calm down, its not like they called jaggers a bitch or something. but personally i rooted for mendes but now jaggers is one of my favorite wrestlers. and that ref needs to be voted off or something, if i was wrestling for a national title i wouldnt want all that annoying comments by the ref
Jaggers mom said he outwrestled your son and earned his championship. You look pathetic on all these forums and youtube whining and bitching about the officiating. A real "champion" would have shrugged off the no call at the end of the second and proceed to outwrestle his opponent the final 2 minutes of the match. Give it a rest, you're making your son seem like a punk bitch.
i agree...mendes let the calls get to his head...he got out hustled and thats all there is to say so stop arguing...cant take back your son losing...so suck it up...ohio is proud j

that was a bullshit call by the official at the end of the 1st period. Should have been Mendes 2-1, going into 2nd. but you gotta give jaggers credit --he put the no. 1 seed on his back. But then they should've given mendes a reversal when he broke jaggers' ankle. that makes it 5-3, mendes on top.
too bad the officiating was a factor in this match. Congrats to jaggers though.
Jitt- Do you know anything about wrestling? Mendes didn't have control so he couldn't have been given the reversal. The refs made the correct call and Jaggers is the champ.
That break looked intentional to me. How the refs couldn't see that is beyond me. This is not UFC --diff rules. I hate dirty shit like that. Jagger out-wrestled Mendes and showed A LOT OF GUTS.

Not putting Jaggers down, but Chad would have won no doubt with those two points he would have wrestled a completely different match. Can't change it though.

Jaggers getting about pretty well on a "broken ankle". IF this was judo or UFC, he would be tapped out and would have lost. Question is.. was he really hurt?
I don't think it was intentional.

Mendes is a dirty wrestler. Period.

I don't agree... This is wrestling. Jaggers displayed great courage to hang in there....but I would not say that Mendes did anything dirty.

Not calling the Mendes for trying to break his ankle more than makes up for the takedown at the end of the first!

i love how at the end of this match jaggers said "when he cranked on my ankle and i screamed he seemed to twist it harder
( pause ) which is probably what i would have done too"
