  • any idea when you will have more of these in stock?

  • @claing17 Promised for early summer.

  • It's not trench gun. Trench guns have perforated cover of barrel and are shorter. This is a civilian version of M1897, army model looks different.

  • @Andriej1990 In fact the military issued both the shielded and un-shielded versions....

  • @MarstarCanada

Can you prove it? Any photos, reports?

  • @Andriej1990 Please, may I suggest you simply read up on the subject ?? In Viet Nam and in Central America they were often issued without the shield....

  • @MarstarCanada Show me one photo of Winchester in army service without perforated cover. Please. Then I say sorry.

  • @Andriej1990 not a trench gun

  • You can slam fire it? Damn thats cool, is it non restricted? I was thinking of getting an 870 but now... I don't know anymore.

  • @BALJIT147 870 is great for aftermarket mods. Its like a AR-15 or 1911. Its too bad so much attention is given to the 870 (Imo the Winchester 1200/1300 defender is better). If there was as much attention given to the 1897 or 1300 as the 870. The 870 would dissapear. Handgun, rifle and shotgun are the 3 basics all American's should own. Go with what feels right and what you can afford.

  • @DobermansRock Well the 870 is the shotgun I learned on, I already have a 1911 but I don't think I will get a rifle for a long time, need to spend responsibly and what not. Don't know what I will end up buying but I'm waiting for the long gun registry that we have up here in Canada to go so I have awhile to make up my mind.

  • Do you carry any SKS, SVt40 and or Mosin Nagant's?

  • @GerrettJihad Please go to our site marstar.ca

  • @MarstarCanada I have, could not find any.

  • its sold out. online

  • I have an original pre-ww1 1897. I think it looks much nicer, the detail is much better on the 100 year old one.

  • Sweet!

  • Do you guys ship to anywhere in Canada? I live in BC and was considering buying some firearms from MarStarCanada.

  • @rydog2828 Yes we ship all over Canada.

  • So is this the original or is this a reproduction...Sorry if that is a stupid question but we have an original 1897 but this one looks almost brand new

  • The wood looks crappy to say the least... !

  • @1339LARS How did you determine this from a video ??

  • @MarstarCanada Beg pardon, but I work with wood, and I have seen (not this actual gun of course) a gun by the same maker and the wood was really porous an not top shelf. No offence intended .

  • @1339LARS No offence taken, "top shelf" wood is available, such as that found on high end goods is available, but costs increase accordingly

  • @MarstarCanada Thank you !

  • @MarstarCanada Obviously its not crappy if it stands the recoil of a 12 gauge.

  • what kinda shells are you using?

  • @TheIatolaofrocknroll 2.3/4 in regular trap loads....

  • I can't find any repros o the 1897 other than the Cimarron. The Chaparral seems nice, but I really want an IAC, due to it's enhanced saety features (specifically the lightened firing pin to avoid discharges from the inertia of the pin if the gun is dropped). I still wish the Chaparral was imported into the states, if for no other reason than it would give more options. I REALLY hope someone starts re-importing the IAC guns.

  • @LifeisGood762 move to canada norinco's are still importable :p

  • @camerl2009 I might enjoy the 1897 quite a bit, but I can own that here as well as most other guns I want. If I can't find a new IAC '97 I can always find a used one.

  • When you say "superior quality" do you mean compared to Chinese made copies?

  • @MadMadCommando This is merely a general statement, meaning that they are of "superior quality"

  • The Ithaca 37 slam fires smother!!

  • Nice video! So are you guys ever going to get the Norinco 1887 and 1897 clones back in stock? If they are not making them anymore maybe you should just take the listing off your website.

  • @iamtorcman Yes,early in 2012.

  • @iamtorcman

meaning, with a bit of hope, the Norinco 1887's might be imported into the US again too?,they've been out of stock for probably a few years now.i could get easily find a norinco trench gun,but i always thought it would be fun to have a lever action shotgun.

  • 5 dont shooted with winchester 1897

  • my dad has a real, pre-world war one winchester 1897. Man its a nice gun.

  • He. I just showed this to my friends and when you said "Yes. This can be slam fired", they all simultaiously said "WTH is slam fire?":I Life as a gun lover.

  • my favorite shotgun!

and you have the most beutifull I ever seen!

    One question: It's accurate?

  • Why don't you load a 6th round? Just like in my WW2 videogames..?

  • @yam83 Idiot......

  • @PWNINGGOLDFISH I know I am, but what are you.....

  • @yam83 Im not the 12 year old kid behind a computer screen commenting about how video games arent like real life If you want to see how war is like I suggest you go overseas with are military and see how life really is See if your so called ''lifebar'' goes down any when shot with any type of gun People like you make me sick Are soldiers are dieing over war while you sit their and comment on videos saying why isnt this like my video game Itll never be like real life kid so go on some where else

  • @PWNINGGOLDFISH You must be joking; I'm no FPS_Doug type, I was kidding about that sixth round. God I hope you're joking. Your little paragraph there sure seems too earnest and passionate it must be some ironic parody that I'm missing somehow.

  • Here in Brazil, to have any gun is a crime.

  • MarstarCanada, do you know if Chapparel have any agents in the United Kingdom? Or do I need to come visit you guys in Canada to buy one. :)

  • @thesidewindersleeps Hi there,I can answer your question for you:The only dealer in the UK for them,is FOX Firearms UK,whom are based in Stockport,Cheshire.Their address is:Fox Firearms UK,17 Weneth Road,Woodley,Stockport,Cheshire,SK6 1HW England. The man you need to email is IRVINGFOX1234@aol.com.I hope this helps.

  • @MarineAqua45 Thank you for the info. I went to the Foxfirearms page and they didn't stock the 97 but like you say they are the agents. I will contact Irving Fox. I have tried contacting Chaparral directly but they don't reply to emails, at all.

  • @thesidewindersleeps Thats alright&your welcome anytime mate.

  • What gauge is this?

  • @Cobras7111 .12ga

  • Click click BANG

  • I want 1 but I'm underage XP

  • There is a malfunction with my winchester. The pump will not go completely back to be able to load and the undercarriage is will not pop downard. What to do?

  • 12 guage?

  • @lucatz123 Yes.

  • @MarstarCanada 12 gauge dragons breath sadly no :P

  • lol, superior quality of the wood.

  • you sound like dr evil from austin powers metal hahahahahaahahahahahahahah

  • cool!

  • ohh ok

  • @MrJoo00 Shotshells, to be exact. Because the shells contain shots (mutiple lead pellets). If its a bullet, the whole is called a cartridge.

  • 10g

  • yellow bullets .20 ?

  • @MrJoo00 they are shells...

  • The stock looks like a broom handle.

  • .20 guage?

  • @DZA720 Sorry, no.

  • There is nothing wrong with slamfiring, so long as the action closes BEFORE the hammer hits the firing pin, however, if the firing pin gets struck while the action is partially open on a LIVE round, it will create retarded pressures, and probably blow up,k witch was common on the protypes, or guns that are out of spec. Also check out the marlin 1898 "widowmaker"

  • i dont know much about slam firing, is it detrimental to your firearm?

  • @Dmajorproductions No it will not damage your firearm.

  • @MarstarCanada ok cool, is that a general rule of thumb of pump action shotguns?

  • @Dmajorproductions It depends on the model....

  • @MarstarCanada Are these made in China like the rest of the reproductions? If not do the sell them in the US?

Also would you shoot high brass, heavy loaded (but still 2 3/4) shot and slugs through this shotgun? I ask because I've read on gun forums that the reproduction 1897s fall apart after a while.

  • Our reproductions are mainly made in Italy, very few items are made in China.... The 1897 is made both in Italy and in China.

If not do the sell them in the US? If you are asking if we can sell them in the US, yes.... You will require a Form-6 to import

Also would you shoot high brass, heavy loaded (but still 2 3/4) shot and slugs through this shotgun?

    Why not

I ask because I've read on gun forums that the reproduction 1897s fall apart after a while.

I have not heard this before...

  • @MarstarCanada Ok, thanks for the great response!

  • @MarstarCanada It actually can. I've actually seen a firing pin broken because of this.

  • Is it 20 bore or 12?

  • I need one of these but your sold out sadly...

Hopefully you get some more italian mades in.

  • do you need licences to own shotguns in canada(i don't live thiers curiosity is all)

  • @TheAlexagius Yes you must have a firearms licence to own any firearm in Canada.

  • @MarstarCanada you need a P.A.l.

  • @MarstarCanada Not necessarily true, most firearm produced from 1897 and prior are considered antiques and don't not require a PAL for the exception of antique models that shoot modern cartridges such as the .22 lr, 12ga.

  • @TheAlexagius We meet again...

  • @traceradam we always do well what do you expect there are only so many videos of guns on youtube

  • @TheAlexagius btw Canada has very good gun laws about the same as America watch "bowling for columbine" its a good documentary on gun laws

  • @traceradam meh canadas better than the uk, though it has some silly laws like the usa does(for the usa its silecners sbrs ect) but mag limits they are very silly but aside from them canadahas relitivly good laws not as good as the usa but way better than the uk, if we had thier laws with no mad limits(and possibly a differnct licencing system(eg 1 licence umlimited firearms)) then the uk would have way better laws, but americas problem is drugs canada does not have drug mafias sumugling guns

  • @TheAlexagius ATF is supplying guns to the drug cartels, look it up.

  • @D33Lux your point? i'm against the atf, it supports my anti gun control as as you say governments are supplying guns to criminals

  • @TheAlexagius My point is I'm stating a FACT, many don't know what the ATF is doing. I'm not a mind reader so I don't know what you know, your comment was open ended so I state the obvious. relax man I'm trying to inform others seems like you're looking to puff out your chest.

Youtube seems to bring out the worse attitudes in people...sheesh!

  • @D33Lux you are right there it really does. I'm sorry but i have recived so many comments from idiots that i tend to reply a bit well rudly

  • @TheAlexagius Yup no worries, I'm seeing alot of trolling also people just being mean and attacking out of no where. Channel SGTbull07 mentioned in one of his vids that JP morgan was hiring people to disinform & troll online so I'm not surprised to hear people giving you a hard time. Be well

  • @D33Lux you too

  • @traceradam and guns across the border so it will have lower gun crime as there are less criminals

  • @TheAlexagius ok theres no profit in gun trafficking you go africa you pay £100 for an ak47 then you have to disuse you're cargo say with watermelons or something thats like £50 then £100 for shipping then you have to buy a truck to ship them to you so that's £250 +£40 petrol for you're truck that like £300 you sell ak47 for say £500 you only make £200 per ak47 and you could only ship once a week so that's only £200 a week

  • @traceradam you'd first of all bring in more than 1 ak 47 and second in a country like the uk you could sell an ak 47 for £600-1000 and criminals that need that firepower will pay

  • @TheAlexagius but the size of one ak47 is about the same size of 10k woth of drugs do the math

  • @traceradam there is no math involed its a simple fact that criminals in the uk have ak 47s(at least some do) so hcan you please offer another explaination of how they get them? and mac 10s, now they may make them here in the uk(which is way more financhially viable and would make more sence as its more covert) but the fact remains criminals get illegal guns in any nation

  • @TheAlexagius mac 10s and ak47 where legal in the 80s in the 80s any semi automatic firearm was legal and how Manny people handed theirs in? the sold them and when the police came for there guns they just said they where stolen

  • @traceradam the fully automatic varients are most likly converted from them, if anything it shows that the licencing system was largly ineffective at stoping crime, still that could only work so many times hundreds arereclaimed of londons streets monthly it isn't the few who didn't had them in, and the semis has obviusoly been converted, the ak 47 and mac 10 are easy guns to make so it is likly they are making them in the uk or close by

  • I WANT THIS IN MW3!

  • @TheSUBGAMER

    Why?

It would be entirely out of its time period

  • @AGeekWithAShotgun fag you do know this gun is still used? this vid also aint ffrom 1879,i hope you know that

    lol what a retard

  • @TheSUBGAMER

I highly doubt the 1897 is still being used by professional armed forces, but if it were, that doesn't mean it should be in MODERN Warfare 3. My contention still stands, it would be entirely out of its time period. Newer weapon systems in shotguns have eliminated this weapon's need. More efficient pump action shotgun designs and semi-automatic shotgun designs flood the market.

    "lol what a retard"

How arrogant. You're the one refusing to even use proper grammar.

  • @AGeekWithAShotgun fag you should know that mw3 is a game

what a retard,he thinks real life is like in fps games

  • @TheSUBGAMER

"fag you do know this gun is still used?"

Look at your comment and look how retarded you sound.

Modern Warfare 3, being a video game does not mean the content of said game is inherently fictionalized.

Also, referring to me in 3rd person grammatical doesn't make you sound smart.

  • @AGeekWithAShotgun chill fag,it aint my problem that u r retarded

  • Are you guys ever going to get the Norinco 1897 and 1887's back in stock? I check your site regularly and you never seem to have them in stock. I've just about given up trying to buy from your store. I check your site regularly but while i've been waiting I've bought three guns from other online sellers who have better and easier to buy from websites.

  • @iamtorcman These models have been on back order for 18 months or more, we understand your frustration.... That is why we had some 1897 shotguns produced in Italy in an effort to fill the void.

It is unfortunate that we have not been able to fill your specific requirements, however I think you will agree that we do have thousands of firearms in stock just waiting for a new home.

As I have posted elsewhere, our new website should be up and running in a few months

  • Naicam, Saving some bullets for bears?

  • whats slamfire?

  • @sharks445 A slamfire happens in a semi automatic firearm when upon the closing of the bolt the cartridge is fired without the activation of the mechanism. This is very common in some firearms when it is not kept properly clean and the firing pin becomes lodged in the protruded position. The bolt closes and the cartridge fires, some firearms will even go full automatic.

  • @MarstarCanada I think he meant about the 1897...

  • lol at the norinco question.. all that needs to be said is NORINCO! i would rather pick up a big rock to defend myself with than trust ANY norinco made firearm..

  • @jackingoffkills Why? I would almost kill for a Norinco anything.

  • @jackingoffkills I've got a Norinco 1897 Trench model and it works just fine

  • i would buy a real winchester 1897 trench gun and purchase the bayonet, then go goose hunting and finish off the goos with the bayonet!

  • @naicam1 *geese

  • I have a Norico 1897 shotgun. Would you say these are better made? Or are they the same as the Chinese model. I have found the Norico models to have parts that don't always fit properly or have not been made to specifications. A brand new Norico will sometimes need fine tuning with a file to make them cycle.

  • @MascotAL First of all, the Norinco 1897 IS a chinese manufactured shotgun. The fit and finish is highly dependent on the importer.

  • can you fit the WW1 bayonet on it ?

  • @deathangellink If you buy the trench model.

  • how much?

  • @TheCzarofussr You can find out all you need here. marstar.ca/gf-Chaparral/1897-Sho.shtm

  • is this in either restricted or unrestricted classes?

  • @BALJIT147 This is unrestricted.

  • dose it take 23/4 or 3'' shells???

  • question? can it be taken down like some of the original winchester 1897's, to become smaller without being able to fire?

  • @flamedrag18 No, it is not the take down model.
