Evanescence is just as big of a sell-out as anyone. Their whole career has been built on commercialism. Small grassroots bands don't take 2-3 years between albums. They get that shit out at least every year. Find another argument.

sk82311 represents the band "311" to lay that to rest. All I'm saying is that commercialism and "selling out" has reached all forms of music. Unfortunately I have seen countless favorite bands of mine sell out (AFI, Guttermouth, Avril, and even 311 to a point) and that you have to be careful on how you distribute your criticism.

Do I think that "Girlfriend" is a road down the wrong path? Yes, I do. Am I going to wait till the whole album comes out to really make my decision on the direction of her career? Yes to that as well. I own the Evanescence albums (and like them both) but you can't honestly say they aren't commercial. Listen to bands like NOFX and the Vandal's and see what they're all about before you go excluding Evanescence from the commercial scene.

I didn't really like the backup singers...they didn't really blend or harmonize, but Avril did great! She killed the verses. Loved it!

The backing singers should just like go home, they really suck! and to be totally honest they cramp her style so much. i love the whole electrical syths in this performance it gives it like a whole new feel. but i miss the strong drum beat.
