  • Bring Back The GM Fishbowls & The Flxible New Looks. NABI's Are The Ford "Edsels" Of Buses. Brand New "LEMONS"

  • New Jersey Transit was better off refurbishing "ALL" the Flxible Metro Series Buses Instead Of Wasting Transit tax Payers Dollars On Buses That Aren't Worth Jack Shit & Will Break Down In The Next 3 Months In Service (If They Haven't Broken Down Already). I've Would've Respect Them More If They Bought Either New Flyers Or Orions. Go "Way" Figure. To New Jersey Transit If You Read This...Be Smart The Way You "Used" To Be. Either Buy A Better Bus Or Keep The Ones You're Just Retiring. I feel Safer

  • the nabi's are a very nice looking buses... however, i rode one on the 451 and its slow as shit, the ride is rough and when it hits a bump you feel it, i never liked city buses anyway but these nabi's are nice to look at around NJ

  • when did NJT try to sue NABI? They are still to this day getting new buses from them and not once did I hear a mention of NABI being sued

  • @njt5329 last month they were in the process of it. Don't know where it stands as of now

  • I heard you guys talking in the video. Modifying a Flxible Metro-B would NOT have been the smartest. Those things as much as i love them, were moving death traps. They couldn't be run in hot weather because you have to turn off the AC in order to get the bus to run at an OK speed. And as juan833cheer said, It was about time for them to get a new fleet. Last transit buses built in 2001? Yea the 2008-2010 NABIs are doing just fine thank you

  • @njt5329 It's all in the DDEC compartment (the brain to the engine). If you go into the DDEC and turn up the rpm, the bus will move alot faster!! It's a Pollution control issue, which is why the buses had such a slow take off, especially in the summertime. The NABIs are NOT doing fine!! If you ask around, you'll be told that engines are blowing, faces are falling off, suspension is going bad. It is to the point where NJT is suing NABI, yet NJT is the one who modified the entire bus

  • Some people may not like the NEW NJT NABIs, but I'm one of the few that actually LOVE these NEW Buses. I know they are slow but they're comfortable and the automated announcements also help out to so I know what stop I'm getting off. These are good buses for NJT but it could be better.

  • Yeah, some of their NABIs are allright, but the way they're modified is the real setback to these things.

  • @Spectacular66 The ones with the Caterpillar C13 sound better and are faster than the ISL9 ones.

  • @juan833cheer

Comfort and automated announcements does not make a bus good. Forget all that, the bus needs to be able to run.

You acknowledge that they are slow (well at least the ones with the Cummins engine because the ones with the CAT C13 engine are fast). Theres a problem if the bus is slow, and the way NJT modified the buses, it's their problem and now they're trying to make up for it by trying to sue the manufacturer NABI.

They're nice buses cosmetically, but they run terribly.

  • @juan833cheer How is it that the Nova LFSAs that the MTA in New York is currently in the process in receiving have the same powertrain as the NABIs with Cummins engines, and the NJT NABIs are slow and run terrible.

The LFSA is heavier and longer, and that bus has great takeoff and run. Rode up recently going up a hill and it was running up that hill as if it wasn't there.

Now, back track a while ago when I first rode a Cummins NJT NABI, and it had trouble trying to get up the ramps at the PABT.

  • Ginormous PIECE OF SHIT!!!!

  • You got that right!!

  • Well, NOT necessarily; it was about time NJT got new equipment.

  • Yes, I'm glad they are upgrading the equipment....HOWEVER, they should NOT have modified the bus the way they did, thus why it is slow, why it rides rough, and it's just UGH!!!! I'm GLAD I don't have to deal with them on a everyday basis!

  • @juan833cheer Yes, NJT needed new equipment, but they needed to do it right.

They rushed this order and now they're facing the truth.

NJT overcustomizes everything they order which gets them in trouble and puts manufacturers out of business or close to.

Millennium could've been the one replacing the Flxible Metro-Bs had NJT not overcustomize the bus and then refused to take it because of their screw up or they didn't run like they wanted to cause of what they themselves put in it

  • @rts9100 they are 2 million times better than the 2008-2010 SEPTA Hybrids speed wise. And they sound better too. Kinda glad that NJT didn't "get with the times" and order low floor alternate fuel buses like everyone else!

  • @njt5329 It's not about low floor or high floor, because on that subject, I don't think Low Floor buses should be on the East Coast at all!! HOWEVER, these NABIs are so modified its to the point where they are literally falling apart!! Engines are blowing, faces falling off, rides rough, and they are slow!!! I cannot stand NYCTAs Orion VII NG HEVs and I would take THAt over a NJT NABI anyday!!!

  • @rts9100 i ride and/or these things on close to an everyday basis and i can assure you that not all of them have that problem. Perhaps maintenance at the districts could be the problem in this sense

  • @njt5329 IT isn't a district problem...it's NJTs modifying problem!! The same thing is with the 1st MCi D4500s!! They modified the bus to have the same setup as the RTS...RTS brakes, RTS, suspension, RTS everything, which is why those buses were bad!!! You think Idunno, well I know!

  • @rts9100 Well still, down here, the buses run fine with no problems. And the ones that do exist is in the computers (the doors open delay and whatnot). This bus in the video, however, bounces way too much no lies.

  • @njt5329 See....you're not getting it!!! I'm not talking about door delays and everything I just said with NJT taking NABI to court and you still say the buses are fine!!! I am finished because obviously you don't wanna believe these buses are cheaply built

  • @rts9100 I thought you said it was how NJT modified it... That would have nothing to do with being cheap then...

  • @njt5329 It is NJTs modifications that made the bus cheaply built!

  • @rts9100 Exactly. There is no reason for a bus to have so many problems as the NJT NABIs are.

Which is why NJT fucks themselves over everytime they order a new bus.
