  • thank goodness for the enhanced trigger guard

  • Some have a push pin on front end. A little oil and tap out.

  • @Kabong30

    Wah wah wah, blah

  • Hammering on that pin unsupported, nice! I'd be really pissed if I broke a Wilson lower.

  • @gee556

    then don't suck

  • i just bought an upgrade kit with a trigger guard in it. but only the plastic guard, no pins or anything. what should i do?

  • @TEAMHONDAUSA looks like you got an airsoft version, have to be careful, bc Magpul has a division that makes airsoft products....it's been a huge issue w vertical grips, the airsoft stuff is made in China, all real firearm Magpul stuff is made in the USA

  • what is the purpose of a magpul trigger guard?

  • Comment removed

  • Clearance for thicker gloves, but most people simply buy it for the "tacti-cool" factor, which is cool they if wanna do that.

  • were do you buy the receivers with colors like that? other than black?

  • @maxwell0700

many companies offer receivers in multiple colors

  • Stripped the set screw in 3 turns. I'm pretty sure the thing was not accurately sized. It would be nice if Magpul would supply a "key", like they do with the B.A.D.

  • I put a crack in my metal body using this method!!!! I didnt even get the original trigger guard off. Now I need to buy a new metal lower receiver

  • @GearHead1087 Yeah usually these guy are pretty responsible when doing a video like this...?? Before anything they should of said that you need to support (from the back) the metal ears on the lower receiver before removing or installing the trigger guard!!! Pretty irresponsible gunwebsites...

  • @avail18

I feel it is irresponsible to assume you are a gunsmith after watching a you tube video overview of any procedure

It is also irresponsible to accuse someone so easily IMO

Take responsibility for your own actions

  • @GunWebsites It would be irresponsible for you to assume anything... But i will assume after your response they you have a difficult time excepting personal responsibility! It was just a suggestion!

Would it of been so difficult for you to say, supporting the back of the ears could of prevented one (i'm going to assume several) of your youtube views from damaging the lower reciever???

Not addressing the problem will just make YOU responsilbe for more views damaging their lower recievers

  • @avail18

You just have the need to blame others for your own lack of knowledge / ignorance

This is a review of the part, we never claim, nor offered any advice on HOW to do the install. In fact at :49 we offer a disclaimer that you should have an armorer do it if you can't

I doubt you even watched the video

  • @avail18 if you somehow damaged your lower doing this you shouldnt even own an AR. putting that on is easier than cleaning an AR. you should be able to do that with your eyes closed in less than 5 mins, 2 mins with them open. i can completely field strip and put back together my springfield XDM in 15 seconds with my eyes closed. adding the METG can be done easily without putting a scratch on the gun.

  • @nightsniper101 I didnt damage my own AR, another poster wrote that they had damaged theirs!!! I was simply replying to that posters comment that they damaged their lower after watching this video!

  • @avail18 alright sorry. nevermind, i thought it was yours.

  • @GearHead1087 how the hell did u crack ur lower doing this, either u have a cheap AR or u were really hammering that thing even then still cant beleive it would break, what ears are everyone talking about?

  • Comment removed

  • @kmirts I was just following the what the video told me do. I wasnt hammering too hard. it was just the wrong directions. You are supposed to use a special tool, not just a simple press. My gun was not made of cheap metal. it is a high end G&G model. I had a friend look at it, and he was able to use some high strength glue to fix the crack. so it wont end up costing me too much

  • This seems like such a waste of money. The guard is already large enough for a gloved finger, and how hard is it to stick a bullet tip in to drop the front down if you need the space? The AR-15 is now the choice of many gimmicks that have limited uses. Just seems like someone would buy this because they have money burning a hole in their pocket.

  • @19nisey69 It definitely adds more room to fit your finger in there. Maybe some people have fat fingers. not just skinny people shoot guns ya know?! Also, gloves come in an array of sizes. This trigger guard is much more comfy the the standard one. Without gloves on, the back of the standard trigger guard digs into my middle finger... not too comfy for me. But hey... not everything is for everyone.

  • you are brave lol! should have used a delrin or wood block to support the trigger guard ear on the opposite side. Ive seen many AR's where someone was installing a new trigger guard and broke a trigger guard ear off while driving the the roll pin in or out.

  • i dont know why, but i dont like the whole ar 15 platform, to me it is to " set in stone " you cannot fit it with a folding stock, or a cheek rest.

  • @weerd2normal you are wrong the AR platform is the most versatile with an abundance of modifications. With the right mods you can have both a folding stock and a cheek rest. lol request a catalog from a company like bravo company or brownells from brownells request their AR-15 catalog you will shit your pants as to howmuch stuff there is for the AR. the AR-15 is sooo not set in stone.. you are fooling yourself

  • @GrizzlyGunsmith99 i know it can be versatile, but can it e changed to any situation in less than 2 minutes, the magpul masada can. i know you can get a folding stock fo the ar 15, i also know you can have a cheek rest.

  • @weerd2normal maybe not two minutes but within an half hour with an experienced AR armorer.

  • @weerd2normal cough cough* M4a1 cough cough*

  • I just bought this same guard for my Bushmaster 6.8mm AR-15 and I was thinking I can do this my self but after seeing this video, i'm taking it to a gun smith.

  • To remove my trigger guard I believe I need a 1/8 roll pin punch correct? and then cant I use that same punch to drive in the new roll pin after I put on the magpul trigger guard.

  • I think so, yes

  • Magpul products ROCK!

    Magpul customer service SUCKS!

  • Can anyone help me, where can I get that screw? My Polymer Trigger Guard that came with the MIAD Grip didn't have one.

  • contact Magpul, I bet they get one out to you in no time

  • on the left side 1/4 of the len had a dark blue tint, so i e-mailed aimpoint about that they sad to call them i talked to one of there reps he sed send it in so they could look at it. he sad it could be the coating and sad that its realy rear to have a problem with there optics. i personally have never hard bad things about them and they seem to be good guys to deal with.

  • Thanks for the info

  • hay thanks for the quick response you guy make great vids! i just got a aimpoint m3 had to send it in right after i got it. there costumer serves seem great so far. hope it gets back her soon.

  • what was wrong with it?

  • any advantages/disadvantages to the polymer vs the aluminum? i want to get one, but i dont know if i wanna pay the extra $15 for the aluminum.

  • I can't decide either..

I figure the polymer will be lighter and cheaper and Magpul stuff is pretty much as strong as aluminum anyway...

  • do you guys have any reviews on aimpoint optics?

  • We will, we really like them and have a bunch available ..

  • Good video. I have this product. 5 stars!

  • Thanks.. I was thinking about the polymer one, but they only have it in tan at the shop I go to (I want black).. do you have the aluminum or polymer?

  • I have the polymer. The best few dollars, I've ever spent.
