If you ever have seen John Perkins and his "Confessions of an Economic Hit Man"

and you choose to believe it (like me) where he actually talks about a lot of honest politicians who tried to improve the lives of people they were elected by getting assassinated in the Name of U.S. economic interests, you actually have to have a great sense of cynical humor to be able to watch this and still like the people involved and their self proclaimed "U.S. = we are justice" attitude.

I don't think he should be put on trial for being a traitor as much a I think he should be put on trial for being an American who's joining a "less than honorable" group that has been quite well documented as infringing on the basic human rights of the Afghan people. We have to take into account the well-fare of the Afghan people and by joining a group that was fighting American forces he endangered the lives of the Afghan people.(whether the U.S. was justified in its actions is irrelevant).

The Taliban told Bush we will give you Bin Laden if you provide us with proof Bin Laden was involve in 911 and they did not provide those proof. They invaded the country instead. And now we know the FBI says have no evidence linking Bin Laden to 911 because they said so. So why did they invade. To construction of a pipeline something the Taliban didn't want.

Yes, I have read the exact same thing. The FBI has said themselves they had no evidence for extradition. Al Qaeda and the Taliban were unfriendly up until we illegally bombed the Sudanese medicine plant, and afghan bases which killed civilians.

Law? The common law system is the best in the world, based on precendent and allows for interpretation (this can be good and bad as law is influenced by culture). Religion? I agree here.
