Is there any type of USB that I can connect to the iPod Hard Drive to get the songs out? Or should I just buy a new battery? and then take the songs out?
i had opened ipod photo and the flat and small connection wire was broken that for audio data connection between , back cover and ipod motheboard, now ipod is showing locking sign and not any of function work now so how can i do? where can i get back that wire or back plate with wire included please?

I went ahead and took it apart and unplugged some of the cables inside then plugged them back in. low and behold my ipod photo started working again! thanks a million for the vid!

no. i just found mine cuz i lost it, but i have an ipod touch now. i like the photo because it's more durable and simpler to use than the newer ipods. it plays music. no internet or youtube, or movies. it's plain and simple.
