Yeah, the riots were probably entertaining to you when people were breaking into and burning down shops with the owners living in their flats just a floor above. It was funny to you when an injured 12 year old boy was offered help by three guys only to be robbed.Good times, indeed.Stick to what you know and leave England to England,Yank. You find our riots entertaining? We find America's Second Amendment fucking hilarious over here. We're LAUGHING at the US.

"Riots are like christmas for us". You clearly don't know anything about anarchism or what most anarchists believe in. You just reinforce the common prejudice that makes most people apprehensive toward the idea of anarchism. So, in other words, fuck you.
i personally prefer my anarchism as organized and calm as a cup of tea, ugly flowers and meditative music. but don't get me wrong chaos, violence, blood and disorder is awesome too.
it was the shop owners most of which were mom and pop shops that lost their livelihoods because of some assholes destroying their stores. you don't send a message to the tyranny of government by burning down your neighbors house.
I knew Wesley Snipes was in jail but I didn't know those details, of course taxation is just extortion and it's wrong to put anyone in jail for it but knowing this it pisses me off even more.
In this video Fakesagan, your having empathy with men who robbed a guy of his belongings while he was propped up against a wall with his head bleeding and needing help. Now, he hadnt done anything to them. The pictures are on the net. These men were indulging in the rioting and looting which you praise them for. They were geared up to brutally assault anyone who got in their way. You are wrong commending these people. Unsubcribed.
Fakey I have and idea, were a mask and start going around burning cars and smashing windows in broad daylight by yourself. I can't wait to see a "true" anarchist like your self proving the "benefits" of anarchy.
this is why i hate other anarchists, even though i am a Anarcho-Communist, Anarchism is the system where order is more important, read some fucking Bakunin and Kropotkin...
those riots didn't achieve anything. stupid, pointless, harmful. i hate how people over here wanna start riots after seeing the ones happening all over the world, thinking their lives are sooo hard. they're rioting over there so they can have the lives we do over here. most rioters are the garbage of the world.
so somebody indangering other people by acting like an animal is cool in your book, but slap a badge on that very same person and he becomes your mortal enemy right???
I've been subbed to you before, and I unsubbed to you originally because I thought you're a narcisistic little prat.
Now I'm usubbing from you because you're a pseudo intellectual, wannabe philosopher, evil shit-fucker. A dick-smack who know NOTHING about what the hell's happening in the UK, or the actual intent of the people who did the burnings.
I mean, all I get from is a yaaay, let's watch peoples' houses burn, yaaay. How fun. Yeah, fun watching sitting in your little house watching -
How does looting things that don't belong to you in the first place improve the society we live in?
How does robbing a family of their livelyhood, or burning their homes down, send a message in any way other than that they're evil uneducated scumbags.
An anarchy society would enforce walking with guns in your hand for protection, and insted of walking around in a badly coloured t-shirt, you'd be wearing a cavlar vest.
@OperatorOscillation the "posse comitatus" of the 1970's from which the sovereign citizen movement derives it's origins had elements of white nationalism, yes. but the modern sovereign citizens movement doesn't necessarily engender racism (though examples of racist ideology can be found in any political movement if one looks hard enough)
of course, we must bear in mind that every critic of the US federal govt is either a racist or a pedophile according to the media
It's actually not too surprising. I first heard about the sovereign citizen movement a few years ago in a washington monthly article that made a big deal about them recruiting black gang members convicted of murder. The judge asked the defendant "why are you participating in a movement of racists?" D was all "well the system's racist anyway."
Lame excuse. I doubt he cares either way, considering that the people he murdered were other blacks.
Respond to this video... Posse Comitatus had everything to do with keeping the MILITARY from acting as police - and not some "1970-'s" white supremacism like you claim. Get educated or stop speaking, fucko.
So a dude pulled a gun on the police, the police shoot him and that is what this is all about?. Maybe if the guy was not breaking the law and was not pulling a gun on the police this would of never happened. Fucking criminals
There is a reason anarchism isn't prevalent (spoiler) because it doesn't work. I honestly don't see how anyone could be an anarchist (in the true sense) unless they are doing it to seem hardcore or they are just stupid. After listening to the tripe pour from your dull monotone voice I expect it's the latter.
@TheSmoothTerrorist Isn't everyone an anarchist in that sense? If everyone was benevolent, intelligent, and held themselves accountable for their own actions, we wouldn't need government. But doesn't that go without saying?
"The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States"
It's right there in the constitution, it's in the Establishment Clause of all things, anyone saying that taxation is illegal isn't arguing with the judge or lawyers, but with the constitution of America
@Laughingblades you are of course aware that there was an america before the constitution was drafted? read some howard zinn ffs
at any rate, the constitution is a living document (look no further than the patriot act for proof of this) and the sovereign citizens are simply trying to re-interpret the legitimacy of taxation. all law is nebulous and arbitrary, not something "set in stone." this shouldn't be so difficult to understand
@TheSmoothTerrorist Yeah but the America before the constitution wasn't a nation, it was a collection of colonies under vassalage of various foreign powers that siphoned money out of America leaving the colonists poor (kind of like the corporations and banks are doing today).
But all your arguments aside, the point remains that Taxation is Legal, and it's spelled out right there in the first article of the constitution.
Is Fakesagan just out to troll us or does he really believe that a bunch of vandals who were out looting small businesses and destroying the private property of their fellow are the heroes here? This is the kind of shit that gives Anarchy a bad name, people behaving like fucking monkeys.
The U.K. is not fucking America, police are among THE MOST professional in the world and just because Mark Duggan didn't hit anything doesn't mean he didn't fire first.
@cogar48 because i haven't and i don't intend to. i'm a practicing anarchist, not an armchair theoretician. i'm not concerned with finding "alternatives" to govt or engineering utopias. i believe that chaos is mother to us all and for brief shining moments she can deliver us from bondage. i'll leave the theory to poli sci students. we're all born knowing how to resist authority but very few of us have the gumption for it. for those who do, no erudition is needed
@TheSmoothTerrorist If you never read any anarchist theory and you aren't interested in finding alternatives to government, how exactly are you an anarchist? Also, if you believe that anarchy means chaos and that anarchists want to create chaos, you're not an anarchist. I'll leave you with two major quotes from Proudhon which best sum up anarchist philosophy: "Anarchy is order" (the phrase from which circled A symbol was derived) and "Liberty is not the daughter but the mother of order".
@Grindermetalhead i dont give a shit what proudhon said. proudhon was more of a socialist than a true anarchist anyway. mutualism is crypto-socialism. he was also an anti-semite from what i gather
also, i never said that "anarchy means chaos." anarchy simply means the rejection of authority/hierarchy. nothing less, nothing more. my personal admiration for chaos is merely an adjunct to my anarchism
@TheSmoothTerrorist Anarchism is socialism: Libertarian socialism. Philosophy of anarchism was defined by the anti-authoritarian members of the first international who rejected authoritarian principles and the electioneering strategy of Marxists, and advocated revolution as a way of overthrowing the state and capitalism, and voluntary association as the the alternative to Marxist dictatorship of proletariat as means of establishing the workers control over the means of production.
@Grindermetalhead You almost can't find a 19th century thinker who wasn't either a racist, a misogynist or an anti-semite, but you'd be a fool to reject everything they ever said because of it. Anarchists don't create cults of personality. That's why there are no Proudhonists, Bakuninists or Kropotkinists as there are Marxists, Leninists, Stalinists on the authoritarian side of socialist spectrum. We simply take all the good that someone said, expand on it, and reject all the bad as nonsense.
@TheSmoothTerrorist "he was also an anti-semite from what i gather" So you don't care about this Sovereign Citizens movement having white supremacist origins, but you write off someone else because he was an anti-semite, even though it had nothing to do with the book being cited. How can you complain about people writing off the sovereign citizens then?
@TheSmoothTerrorist No. You said "Riots - thats like christmas for us [anarchists]." Clearly you consider a love of chaos to be universal among anarchists. You reached this conclusion from the vast amount of research you have done on the subject. SPOILER: That was sarcasm. Now that you've had your ignorance shoved into your face repeatedly you are attempting to ret-con your words.
you actually have no idea what you're talking about. and they weren't attacking government property, they were destroying regular peoples homes, cars and businesses. anarchism is for childish little fags.
It's funny to me that any anarchist would think riots like these are a good thing. These people rioting are just proving they are barbarians who need authority figures to come crack down on them to keep these people in line. They're proving that being pro anarchy is just a silly childish way of looking at the world that would never work in reality. It's just as dumb as Inmendhams anti natalism shit.
1. Theres nothing dumb about inmendhams anti natalism atall.
2. The reason these people are in such a state is precisely because of economic conditions brought about by the government. And no anarchist worth his salt things the sudden disappearance of the state will lead to harmony. it has to be a process of building alternative institutions within the shell of the old.
@SecularNumanist Someone else here already said it better than me: "So when the mobs kill and steal it is jolly good, but when the states does it it is wrong?" So to "Building alternative institutions" LOL! Yeah, that's what they're doin, gimme a break, they were beating people up, robbing people, looting stores, trashing they're own neighborhoods, what are they building exactly? They're not hurting the state, they're making it stronger while trashing they're own stuff, that's the irony.
I never said they were building alternative institutions. im saying that as an anarchist i dont support these actions but i dont think they represent what anarchists advocate anyway.
@SecularNumanist Inmendhams thing about anti natalism, it's not that I don't sympathize with the idea, and the same thing for anarchy, but the idea these things will work for us in reality is childish silly fantasy. This type of shit is for 15 year olds who live in they're Mom's basement, most of them would probably be the first ones crying if any of this shit really happened.
saying it wont work in reality is just an assertion, so ill disregard it. thanks anyway. But how exactly wouldnt anti natalism "work in reality". People being convinced through rational arguments not to reproduce anymore because it creats a net suffering? How wouldnt that work? you mean the world needs a bigger population? what exactly?
and if you mean you wont be able to convince people, then thats not an objection to the argument, it just means it needs more publicity
@DarkFantasyvids i can easily see how the riots would prove londoners are barbarians who need to be cracked down upon by authority to a fascist asshole. however, the irony is that it was too much cracking down which precipitated the backlash
good luck picking through the rubble for the false sense of security you've lost
@TheSmoothTerrorist The riots don't prove londoners are barbarians, after all there are plenty of people just staying at home not participating, probably hoping some mob of shitbags don't try to loot and burn they're houses down, trying to protect they're own shit. It's these people doing the rioting that are proving they are barbarians, I bet plenty of them are immature douchebags who believe in anarchy too. ;-) I sure wouldn't want to paint all people in London with that broad brush tho.
@TheSmoothTerrorist So, authority cracks down to hard, people act like animals then trashing they're own neighborhood, crack down hard on they're fellow citizens like total hypocrites, mug people, rob shit, destroy property.. Hmmm Makes sense to me. See, I'd be with them if they were doing some Fight Club type of shit, but this is stupid, this is just another example of people showing that once again, I don't see why some people see it any other way.
Been following the WM3 religiously since 1993 bro, i have been to West Memphis twice to protest, the real reason for the plea is cause so many people got promoted after this case especially the judge(Burnett) whom actually fucked this whole case from the get go, and continued to do so til he recently got promoted, now that he isnt the judge anymore for the case, a panel of judges, quickly moved for these actions cause of lack of evidence, also like you said they would of sued for 150 million
@TOMMYfromtheBRONX for Baldwin and Misskelley, and 300 million for Echols for being on death row the whole time, so this is what they came up with to avoid a state collapse of funds, cause they know the WM3 would win this civil suit easily, hence the shitty plea, its still a criminal injustice on the justice department coming up with this plea, but hey the WM3 are freed, the shitty part, they have to plea guilty w/o a clear innocence, but everyone know they are innocent
They're not looking for an excuse to jail people with anti-government views, they don't care what you think. The only reason Snipes is in jail is that he didn't cave and play their game in court. His defense was a lot like when you play tag with a 5 year old and they say "haha you can't touch me, I've got an invisible force field." The govt. showed that Snipes' force field is make believe. I don't like uncle same either, but I think we need to live in the real world. What Snipes did was stupid.
@bishop8000 how can you say they're not jailing him for anti-govt views and then say in the very same breath that he's in jail for not playing their game? you've totally contradicted yourself
if snipes had hidden his money in offshore accounts or laundered it through some kind of phony charity scheme like the average greedy rich fuck, he would be walking free. but because he gave the taxman the finger, he's in prison
there's nothing "stupid" about resisting tyranny. it's commendable
What I mean is that they didn't target him ahead of time. He was caught and prosecuted just like any tax protester, then when he got to court and wouldn't play their game, it singled him out for a bullshit sentence. I agree that resisting tyranny is commendable, but it accomplishes very little to resist AFTER they've got you. As you've said: might really does make right. So when fighting the big boys, we've got to strike a balance between standing up for our principles against enjoying our lives
They're not looking for an excuse to jail people with anti-government views, they don't care what you think. The only reason Snipes is in jail is that he didn't cave and play their game in court. His defense was a lot like when you play tag with a 5 year old and they say "haha you can't touch me, I've got an invisible force field." The govt. showed that Snipes' force field is make believe. children where raped and robbed during the riot's in London , over two thousand women where raped during the LA riot's , raping , killing . looting. all way's come hand in hand during times of civil unrest and war , the case i am dealing with now , was a 13 year old girl who was held down by a group of looter's and raped , they took her blackberry phone and some loose change, ask their mother & farther how they feel about looter's , this is the darkest side to are recent unrest ,
@firefox666moll boo hoo hoo. compare the number of rapes that occur during a riot to the annual total of prison rapes. but of course you don't give a flying fuck about that...
@TheSmoothTerrorist my research was on the subject of children being raped during the riot's , not adult's, and no i don't care if a scum bag prisoner rapes another lump of human shit , i think it's fantastic when they kill and rape each other , if i had it my way i would quite happily kill 97% of the prison population , i have a deep seeded hatred of prison scum as a tax payer , ps , as you'e dollar weaken's and then collapses , i will make a small fortune in my gold and silver , thank you USA
@firefox666moll 70% of US prisoners are non-violent and you want to kill 97% of prisoners. shows that you are scum
btw, gold investment is being aggressively advertised and peddled to paranoid, panicky retards because the elite don't want you investing in stocks. precious medals are an "under-performing" asset and when the market recovers and the elite increase their wealth from stock investments, they will simply buy your gold back from you at a cut rate. dumbass
You think it's good to celebrate the actions of a large bunch of chav twats for setting fire to buildings from their own neighbourhood while people were trapped inside them?
@Zurassh Are you justifying what those people did by saying they were taking back what was stolen from them? had it been the other way around and the shop owners had mugged the wellfare cases then you might have a point, a rotten point but a point none the less.
@rafen8705 No, I hear what you're saying, but the question I pose is, or to be in an example format, I steal $100 from you while you're walking, and you make the effort to take it back from me. In that essences, does that make you a thief as well? In my opinion, it doesn't. You're taking back what is rightfully yours. I'm not justifying the riots. All I'm saying is, sometimes you have to take back what was yours.
@rafen8705 What about when government props up giant companies? Any company that received corporate welfare (subsidies, IP rights protection, monopoly grants, etc.) from the government has engaged in theft (and so too the government).
@MaxStirner4Lyfe I cannot say this for a fact but I think that the local liqurstore was more hurt by the riots then the mall and "big bussniess" I have seen the video when the rioters help then robb a guy of, I have also seen "after action" vids of stores that had been hit, they trashed evrything that they did not want and stole the booze and what not, they deserve what they get and more for fucking up so much.
yea, that 4 years for a facebook message was fuckin RIDICULOUS. glad someone made a video about this.. i was gonna, but didnt. so yea. nice one fakie.
I can't support the London riots because they're actually fucking shit up that's totally unrelated to their cause. It'd be different if they were just protesting. But they're looting businesses, and robbing people on the street. Imagine pouring your lifesavings into a small shop, how would you feel if some people looted it and burned it to the ground?
@FuIIOfFaiI if you understood anything about class struggle you'd know that none of shit they fucked up was "totally unrelated." every one of those "innocent shop owners" was probably a bourgeois dickhead who blithely supported the type of police abuse the rioters lived with for so long
if they had been "just protesting," we wouldn't even be talking about this, because protests accomplish nothing. massive property damage, on the other hand, gives the powerless a bit of leverage
@TheSmoothTerrorist Got to call bullshit there. On both accounts. You're making assumptions about these private business owners ideologies, which even if they did support the police, is irrelevant. Doesn't mean they deserved to get victimized.
Second, protesting can accomplish alot. Look at Egypt. For being as massive as it was, it was pretty civil. Granted, there's places where it won't accomplish anything, like Iran, but that's due to the fact they don't even allow it.
@FuIIOfFaiI you seem to have chosen a fitting username. if the property owners who were "victimized" supported the police abuses and disenfranchisement of the rioters, it's very relevant. whether they "deserved" to get "victimized" or not is a matter of opinion and i care very little about yours
your corporate media brainwashing is apparent by the fact that you refer to the egyptian revolution as a "protest." turn off your tv
The worst hypocrisy of that whole thing for me is the fact that our Prime Minister and our Mayor of London once smashed up a restaurant for fun as students, as part of the posh boys 'Oxford 'Bullingdon Club'. But they got away with it, and not surprisingly the media haven't mentioned it. Seeing PM David Cameron sadly shaking his head at the 'needless vandalism and destruction' made my blood boil!
@DrJReefer I know they do that, but I live in Oxford and I know of a place that got smashed up a few years ago. They broke personal items, caused distress to the owners, frightened the staff, set a fire that could have spread to a flat above. The fact that they handed over a cheque didn't make it okay. I think these over-privileged posh boys smashing places up for fun is just as bad as a poor kid kicking in a shop window for a pair of Converse shoes, if not worse.
@rafen8705 my question too exactly. and what was the point about death penalty? the system can make a mistake and convict an innocent person so death penalty shouldnt exist? what bullshit. no system is perfect, but neither is this fucking hypocritical world
@rafen8705 in a nutshell, yes. all "justice" is vigilante justice in my view. i prefer unvarnished violence to state-sanctioned violence which bears a phony air of legitimacy
As a matter of national pride (ha ha) I have to point out that we Northern Irish have been rioting for decades. We even used go up against the British armed forces.
I wonder did the Judge take Wesley's distinguished service to badassery into account when passing sentence.
It is actually a disgrace that someone who's has been a plus to their country and entertained millions is jailed when he harmed no one.
Can't allow the livestock to get too out of line, i guess.
You support those dirty chav's in the london riots? Epic fail. What about all those innocent property owners, many of which are poor and may not be compensated, who had their shit destroyed by those scumbags. I like you fakey but this video is shit.
@JustAnotherGuy186 i will always side with "dirty chavs" over "innocent property owners." the fact that you would even use the term "chav" proves you're an elitist piece of shit
Are those the guys that were featured in the movie "Paradise Lost"?

OperatorOscillation 6 months ago
@OperatorOscillation the "posse comitatus" of the 1970's from which the sovereign citizen movement derives it's origins had elements of white nationalism, yes. but the modern sovereign citizens movement doesn't necessarily engender racism (though examples of racist ideology can be found in any political movement if one looks hard enough)
of course, we must bear in mind that every critic of the US federal govt is either a racist or a pedophile according to the media

@TheSmoothTerrorist "wesley snipes = nazi? lol"

There is a reason anarchism isn't prevalent (spoiler) because it doesn't work. Article One Section Eight
Laughingblades 6 months ago
@Laughingblades you are of course aware that there was an america before the constitution was drafted? read some howard zinn ffs
at any rate, the constitution is a living document (look no further than the patriot act for proof of this) and the sovereign citizens are simply trying to re-interpret the legitimacy of taxation. all law is nebulous and arbitrary, not something "set in stone." this shouldn't be so difficult to understand
TheSmoothTerrorist 6 months ago
@TheSmoothTerrorist Yeah but the America before the constitution wasn't a nation, it was a collection of colonies under vassalage of various foreign powers that siphoned money out of America leaving the colonists poor (kind of like the corporations and banks are doing today).
But all your arguments aside, the point remains that Taxation is Legal, and it's spelled out right there in the first article of the constitution.

Why do I get the feeling you haven't read ANY Anarchist theory at all?
cogar48 6 months ago
@cogar48 because i haven't and i don't intend to. i'm a practicing anarchist, not an armchair theoretician. i'm not concerned with finding "alternatives" to govt or engineering utopias. i believe that chaos is mother to us all and for brief shining moments she can deliver us from bondage. i'll leave the theory to poli sci students. we're all born knowing how to resist authority but very few of us have the gumption for it. for those who do, no erudition is needed
TheSmoothTerrorist 6 months ago
@TheSmoothTerrorist What a prick.
VicSidious 6 months ago
@TheSmoothTerrorist If you never read any anarchist theory and you aren't interested in finding alternatives to government, how exactly are you an anarchist? Also, if you believe that anarchy means chaos and that anarchists want to create chaos, you're not an anarchist. I'll leave you with two major quotes from Proudhon which best sum up anarchist philosophy: "Anarchy is order" (the phrase from which circled A symbol was derived) and "Liberty is not the daughter but the mother of order".
Grindermetalhead 6 months ago
@Grindermetalhead i dont give a shit what proudhon said. proudhon was more of a socialist than a true anarchist anyway. mutualism is crypto-socialism. he was also an anti-semite from what i gather
also, i never said that "anarchy means chaos." anarchy simply means the rejection of authority/hierarchy. nothing less, nothing more. my personal admiration for chaos is merely an adjunct to my anarchism
TheSmoothTerrorist 6 months ago
@TheSmoothTerrorist Anarchism is socialism: Libertarian socialism. Philosophy of anarchism was defined by the anti-authoritarian members of the first international who rejected authoritarian principles and the electioneering strategy of Marxists, and advocated revolution as a way of overthrowing the state and capitalism, and voluntary association as the the alternative to Marxist dictatorship of proletariat as means of establishing the workers control over the means of production.
Grindermetalhead 6 months ago
@Grindermetalhead You almost can't find a 19th century thinker who wasn't either a racist, a misogynist or an anti-semite, but you'd be a fool to reject everything they ever said because of it. Anarchists don't create cults of personality. That's why there are no Proudhonists, Bakuninists or Kropotkinists as there are Marxists, Leninists, Stalinists on the authoritarian side of socialist spectrum. We simply take all the good that someone said, expand on it, and reject all the bad as nonsense.
Grindermetalhead 6 months ago
@TheSmoothTerrorist "he was also an anti-semite from what i gather" So you don't care about this Sovereign Citizens movement having white supremacist origins, but you write off someone else because he was an anti-semite, even though it had nothing to do with the book being cited. How can you complain about people writing off the sovereign citizens then?
GodisHatred 6 months ago

It's funny to me that any anarchist would think riots like these are a good thing. These people rioting are just proving they are barbarians who need authority figures to come crack down on them to keep these people in line. They're proving that being pro anarchy is just a silly childish way of looking at the world that would never work in reality. It's just as dumb as Inmendhams anti natalism shit.
DarkFantasyvids 6 months ago 3
@DarkFantasyvids
SecularNumanist 6 months ago
@SecularNumanist Someone else here already said it better than me: "So when the mobs kill and steal it is jolly good, but when the states does it it is wrong?" So to "Building alternative institutions" LOL! Yeah, that's what they're doin, gimme a break, they were beating people up, robbing people, looting stores, trashing they're own neighborhoods, what are they building exactly? They're not hurting the state, they're making it stronger while trashing they're own stuff, that's the irony.
DarkFantasyvids 6 months ago
@DarkFantasyvids
I never said they were building alternative institutions. im saying that as an anarchist i dont support these actions but i dont think they represent what anarchists advocate anyway.
SecularNumanist 6 months ago
@SecularNumanist Inmendhams thing about anti natalism, it's not that I don't sympathize with the idea, and the same thing for anarchy, but the idea these things will work for us in reality is childish silly fantasy. This type of shit is for 15 year olds who live in they're Mom's basement, most of them would probably be the first ones crying if any of this shit really happened.
DarkFantasyvids 6 months ago
@DarkFantasyvids
saying it wont work in reality is just an assertion, so ill disregard it. thanks anyway.
SecularNumanist 6 months ago
@DarkFantasyvids i can easily see how the riots would prove londoners are barbarians who need to be cracked down upon by authority to a fascist asshole. however, the irony is that it was too much cracking down which precipitated the backlash
good luck picking through the rubble for the false sense of security you've lost
TheSmoothTerrorist 6 months ago
@TheSmoothTerrorist The riots don't prove londoners are barbarians, after all there are plenty of people just staying at home not participating, probably hoping some mob of shitbags don't try to loot and burn they're houses down, trying to protect they're own shit. It's these people doing the rioting that are proving they are barbarians, I bet plenty of them are immature douchebags who believe in anarchy too. ;-) I sure wouldn't want to paint all people in London with that broad brush tho.
DarkFantasyvids 6 months ago
@TheSmoothTerrorist So, authority cracks down to hard, people act like animals then trashing they're own neighborhood, crack down hard on they're fellow citizens like total hypocrites, mug people, rob shit, destroy property..

@bishop8000 how can you say they're not jailing him for anti-govt views and then say in the very same breath that he's in jail for not playing their game? you've totally contradicted yourself

there's nothing "stupid" about resisting tyranny. it's commendable
TheSmoothTerrorist 6 months ago
What I mean is that they didn't target him ahead of time. He was caught and prosecuted just like any tax protester, then when he got to court and wouldn't play their game, it singled him out for a bullshit sentence. I agree that resisting tyranny is commendable, but it accomplishes very little to resist AFTER they've got you. As you've said: might really does make right. So when fighting the big boys, we've got to strike a balance between standing up for our principles against enjoying our lives

rafen8705 6 months ago
@rafen8705 No, I hear what you're saying, but the question I pose is, or to be in an example format, I steal $100 from you while you're walking, and you make the effort to take it back from me. In that essences, does that make you a thief as well? In my opinion, it doesn't. You're taking back what is rightfully yours. I'm not justifying the riots.
FuIIOfFaiI 6 months ago
@FuIIOfFaiI if you understood anything about class struggle you'd know that none of shit they fucked up was "totally unrelated." every one of those "innocent shop owners" was probably a bourgeois dickhead who blithely supported the type of police abuse the rioters lived with for so long
if they had been "just protesting," we wouldn't even be talking about this, because protests accomplish nothing. massive property damage, on the other hand, gives the powerless a bit of leverage
TheSmoothTerrorist 6 months ago
@TheSmoothTerrorist Got to call bullshit there. On both accounts. You're making assumptions about these private business owners ideologies, which even if they did support the police, is irrelevant. Doesn't mean they deserved to get victimized.
Second, protesting can accomplish alot. Look at Egypt. For being as massive as it was, it was pretty civil. Granted, there's places where it won't accomplish anything, like Iran, but that's due to the fact they don't even allow it.
FuIIOfFaiI 6 months ago
@FuIIOfFaiI you seem to have chosen a fitting username. if the property owners who were "victimized" supported the police abuses and disenfranchisement of the rioters, it's very relevant. whether they "deserved" to get "victimized" or not is a matter of opinion and i care very little about yours

Seeing PM David Cameron sadly shaking his head at the 'needless vandalism and destruction' made my blood boil!
xchampbearx 6 months ago 3
@xchampbearx I think their getting away with it had a lot to do with them having the means to write a fat cheque for the damage as they were doing it.
Much like rock bands who lay waste to hotel rooms and dressing rooms.
DrJReefer 6 months ago
@DrJReefer I know they do that, but I live in Oxford and I know of a place that got smashed up a few years ago. They broke personal items, caused distress to the owners, frightened the staff, set a fire that could have spread to a flat above. The fact that they handed over a cheque didn't make it okay. I think these over-privileged posh boys smashing places up for fun is just as bad as a poor kid kicking in a shop window for a pair of Converse shoes, if not worse.
