  • @SuperGowrie Will do ;)

  • Anyone know who composed the music for this series?

  • Cpl Dawes fom my training team back in 2000 fought here. Gave interview for BBC out there but cant find the shagging video.

  • oi they dont mention the sbs!

  • @macky111222 Think you will find they are mentioned later, they did a recce for routes in

  • It was probably a no brainer, the most disciplined elite force versus a gang of drug addled spooks who thought magic amulets protected them

  • Haha Freely Elected Government=bullshit

  • a 50 man SAS squadron.... that's HENCH

  • jamie oliver at 30 seconds

  • We totally kicked their arse, what did some bunch of ak47 wielding savages expect - you dont walk away from a fight with the paras. The taliban are a tough disciplined fighting unit, but africans are not known for anything but hacking up civies with machetes. This was one of blairs good moments, making the decision to go and teach this lot a lesson. This was one of the few times recently when our politicians got it right in regards to military intervention.

  • @trigga1uk Well lets not get carried away here... It was them, not we lol

  • @trigga1uk: It was a group not a continent get your fact right!

  • as long as there were plenty of dead sh1t skins. i'm not complaining.

  • Statement at 7:11, what about British tourist, John Dawson Dewhirst? Why didn't the UK invade cambodia when Dewhirst was captured by the Khmer Rouge?

  • @nebula88 What happened with Dewhirst, must've been a punch, because Dewhirst was not only tortured, and executed, but his remains was never found.

  • Go SAS & paras! stupid rebel pricks messing with britain lol

  • ah Lord Ashcroft - good man, he donated the reward for the return of the stolen war medals from the war museum in Waiouru here in New Zealand, he didnt have to, very kind thing to do and appreciated by this country. Thank you sir!

  • & these assholes grew up in the jungle so that kind of warfare is nothing new to them, so i dont doubt that it was a really good ambush but with the horible horible shit that has gone on in sierra leone to captives i just cant justify turning over weapons without a fight.....but it still seems to me that this team was not fully aware of what these men were capable of. I mean had they been shown pictures & intell reports from "EO"'s experiences there i doubt they would have surrendered

  • i really dont like the fact that they turned over their weapons without a shot being fired.....i mean i can totally understand the fact that he thought he could talk them down& then shit just got out of hand so i dont think it was totally his fault, I think it could have been a break down in intell that was carried on to him & his team...if u dont understand how the enemy operate & what they r capable of doing it is very easy for them to get the jump on u in a well placed ambush.

  • @arkangel8419 They were covered by more men, more weapons and it was their territory, from a military state of mind, they were trying to survive with all men not one out the rest.

  • @french2010smart That doesn't mean a damn thing from a "military state of mind" When your in a war zone carrying weapons there may come a time when you have to fight. If your out numbered that doesn't mean you hand over your weapons and say ok we give up u have more guys then us this ISN'T FAIR. have you ever read a military book or taken a class smaller forces defeat bigger ones all the time. and even if they don't. I'm sorry in Sierra Leone you don't lay down your weapons........

  • what year was this in...i mean the actual operation

  • 10th of September 2000

  • Thanks for sharing this. I only knew about this operation after reading the book 'The Afghan'. Surprised it doesn't get more attention (Especially seeing as it was so recent)

Then again, I suppose it is eclipsed by Iraq and Afghanistan

  • i love this story , excising.

  • I saw this on TV and wanted to see it again, thanks for posting it!!!

  • does anyone have the situation critical version of this?

  • Thanks for posting

  • There are no words for how much I thank you, I have been trying to find this for about 3 months since a friend told me about it.

Go the SAS, good to see that even the best still need some help :)

  • There was a much better documentary on National Geographic called situation critical, I see natgeoUK has posted the first few minutes.

  • so glad u put this up, the 5 on demand thing is gash!
