33 Km is about 20 miles. A one or 2 day walk max. I've easily walked 35 miles in one day. Even in 100 degree heat I walked 13 miles in 3 hours. If they had many cattle with them 10 miles day would be common. Though I do not see that the carvings/Deuteronomy passages as title to land, that verse must be read in context, I would leave that decision to its Author. Personally I would like to see a greater Israel; actually I think Islam and Arabs have run their course in the Middle East; both the Turks and Iranians are positioning themselves in that matter. I think everyone would be better off with Israel in control of the entire area. I’m not Jewish so don’t start cursing the Jews for my own opinion.

Bob, I appreciate the explanation, however, that concept is simply flawed and has no basis in scripture. The verses quoted there are a typical example on how this concept has been twisted over time. Trinitarians are divided on how to explain it because the verses used to support it are vague. The bible is clear that Almighty God is supreme, Jesus is subordinate, but is still called a mighty god, just not Almighty God. The fact that he is called a god is not strange. Satan is also called a god.

Knowledge, thank you for mentioning this. If you research the application of that title in many bible translations, scholars generally agree that the ref to that in verse 11 is spurious. It does not appear in six of the major translations including the catholic Douay and the Jerusalem version. In fact, the name Jesus does not appear in vs 13 in greek and has been left out of most tranlsations. The expression A and Omg is simply too vauge to base the trinity on. I appreciate your point.

Now, lets consider facts: the trinity doctrine wasn't decided on as cannon until Constantine and the Council of Nicea over 300 years after the last of the Apostles died. Again, the question remains if this doctrine is the pivot of christianity why isn't there direct explanation instead of vague passages? Most importantly, who actually promoted the idea? It is a common pagan philosophy, non-christian.

It is one statement. Take a look at John 17:21, 22. Obviously, Jesus did not mean his followers would all become one person or part of a trinity but merely oneness of purpose. He clearly stated that his Father was greater, in a higher position that he on several occasions. See John 14:28
