Can you point me in the direction of some good credible scientists NOT in a conflict of interest with Big Oil or energy companies that legitimately doubt it? I've heard some good sources like "The Great Global Warming Swindle", but it turns out the film's creators misreported the actual views of at least 2 of the scientists in the film. And distorted other information. I heard that some Oregon institute petitioned a bunch of global warming doubters, but I also later heard that was a hoax.

There's also the Viscount Monckton, who actually doubted global warming and has a dvd, but I've also heard that some of his facts are little off the deep-end. And I have a hard time believing the worst case of malaria happened in a place as cold as Siberia in the 1920s. While nowadays and for the past many decades, malaria has almost universally infected peoples in very warm, humid, sometimes desert-like areas. Of course, maybe the mosquitos of the 1920s are vastly different, but who knows.

I'm not sure what to think about global warming. I mean, yeah, there are a lot of propagandists out there, and the media certainly loves alarmism, but it's hard to say that every single global warming-believing scientist is just lying or doing it for more money from the gov't. Or that he just wants more regulation and is fabricating global warming by tweaking the results of studies. OTOH, a lot of right-wing anti-global warming folks are propagandists for oil and gas co's.

I'm with you. What I'm trying to say is that global warming is not fact, its conjecture. And its this belief that it exists is the most dangerous. If we spend OUR money on combating something which may not exist, isn't that like spending money on a fact that "God Exists"? What is the difference between a radical religious fanatics and a global warming activist? Nothing.
