the same tour dave marsh got kicked off of for being anal-retentively biased against the rolling stones while writing about the band for rolling stone mag......
I remeber my dad having "Its Only Rock and Roll" on LP. so I heard this one when growing up. (Thanks Dad, I got every album on CD. Greatest driving music I had in SD, CA when in the Navy.) I have heard people say that this song is one for the GWB admin in government. All I have to say is that it floats both ways. I told people when the Patriot Act was made law, both sides would keep it for the power it expanded over the people. Good song, though; although a bit too much like life.
@sharpclay - that's not Wyman playing bass. You can see him sitting behind Billy Preston poking at that cheesey string synth keyboard. On the original studio track it was either Keith Richards or Mick Taylor who played bass on this track. I'm still waiting for the freakin' camera to confirm who's playing bass in this concert video!
Mick doesn't fit a guitar, but he always wanted to play a guitar on stage. I think that's because he always wanted to be as cool as Keef. Mick knew that Keef always was the cooler of the two.
the best!!

mick does not fit with a guitar because he has learnt all trough his career to dress up and act like the singer, standing without an instrument

@horbergaren mick has also played guitar with the stones since the beginning, as well as being the singer.
