Despite many problems and repeated disasters, we in Lebanon have a lot going for us, and absolutely the best thing we have going for us is the Lebanese soul. This soul is reflected in this short film.
Beirut, I Love You was turned into a TV/web-series ! Watch episodes about Tarek, Yasmine and their entourage on facebook . com/beirutiloveu, beirutiloveu . com or on LBC every Friday, Saturday & Sunday @7.40pm
Yeah I love Amelie and this is actually a tribute to amelie, it's written in the description, "a beirutish tribute to Amelie Poulain" . And it's a wonderful one :)
Amazing job, you guys made my day.. the characters' personal relationship and how it intertwines with their bond and connection to Beirut is just brilliant!
Going to have to book a flight back sooner than i thought now
very powerful. I'm glad we have someone representing the arab community with films that actually have meaning and a strong story line. The awards earned for this movie were well deserved :)
so OrangeDogProds, you watched "le fabuleux destin d'amelie poulain" and you got so fascinated by it that you decided to imitate it. doesn't make you artists. not a hint of creativity!
was browsing videos of my favorite band, Beirut, when I came across this. this was beautiful. I really wish I could visit Beirut some day. when occupation doesn't exist and peace is taken for granted. a matter of days, weeks, tops. the Lebanease "Ameli"... I feel almost ashamed in being surprised to see all these similarities in a place so close, practically up the corner. Beirut looks magical through your eyes. I also smile at strangers, but hate elivators. peace out, neighbours. and love.
@shimring so youre from palestine...because there are two neighbours to lebanon and it's syria&palestine and i don't think that you're syrian so you're from palestine right?.....great clip btw
