  • Despite many problems and repeated disasters, we in Lebanon have a lot going for us, and absolutely the best thing we have going for us is the Lebanese soul. This soul is reflected in this short film.

  • was browsing videos of my favorite band, Beirut, when I came across this. this was beautiful. I really wish I could visit Beirut some day. when occupation doesn't exist and peace is taken for granted. a matter of days, weeks, tops. the Lebanease "Ameli"... I feel almost ashamed in being surprised to see all these similarities in a place so close, practically up the corner. Beirut looks magical through your eyes. I also smile at strangers, but hate elivators. peace out, neighbours. and love.

  • @shimring

Thank you for the beautiful comment :)

  • @shimring so youre from palestine...because there are two neighbours to lebanon and it's syria&palestine and i don't think that you're syrian so you're from palestine right?.....great clip btw

  • Aaaaaaaaaaaaah I miss my Lebanon!

Great short film. It brought back so many memories.

If you ever need an original soundtrack for another film, let me know, I'd be glad to help.

    Elie.

  • amazing lebnese product ;)) 7asset la 10 mins enne bi lebnen ma3 my friends w khbaroun ...

  • it doesnt reflect anything lebanese. I live in Lebanon since i was born. This approach is more international and westernizing lebanon like Amelie Poulain is just "deja-vu"

  • My friend, this movie was written & played by Lebanese, & it took place in Lebanon. So why being so despising telling "it doesnt reflect anything Lebanese?

Open your geography books: Lebanon is at the crossroads between East & West. Whether you like it or not, its identity is deeply affected by an international approach.

Open your mind, & accept that every Lebanese can chose the approach they'd like to have towards their country. "You have your Lebanon and I have my Lebanon" (G.K. Gibran)

  • Finally, open your eyes, and read: at the right-top corner of this page, the movie was presented as a "Beirut-ish" tribute to Amelie Poulain.

Until then,.. I wonder where the hell have you have lived in Lebanon, given that you don't recognize anything Lebanese in this movie!

  • Amazing movie. U people really bring out wat is best in lebanon in this video. And the thing with the cab driver, tht nearly braught me to tears, coz i live in Kuwait and i know wat it's like, not being able to touch the sand out of which God made me.

  • fantastic :-) I was enthralled for its entirety

  • a la Amelie Poulin, huh?!

  • Hey - Great movie, loved it... Well done!! Keep it coming!

  • To bibakay

The richness of Lebanon lies in it's diversity.

It is nor a Christian country exclusively nor a Muslim country exclusively.

It is both. Or none. But it is not exclusively one or the other.

You could use some wiki for info and stats on the topic. Your comment is false and doesn't relate to the movie. It excludes half the lebanese population. It just seeks to provoke and create a debate where there is none.

This is not the appropriate space for such comments.

  • Actually Lebanon is NOT a muslim country! It isnt even an arab country [if we wana go this far]: we r the only Christian arab country in the middle east.

  • To bibakay:

"Actually Lebanon is NOT a muslim country!" True

"It isnt even an arab country" False

"we r the only Christian arab country in the middle east." Wait, so we're an Arab country now? Lebanon is neither a Christian nor a Muslim country. Unfortunately it is not secular either.

  • You should not have said that ....

  • Beyrouth! on t'adore

  • Captivating! It made me yearn to be back in Beirut in the early '70s. It made me want to go there again - RIGHT NOW!

  • 10 sur 10

    bravo

    magnifique.

  • i miss u BEIRUT!!!!!!!

  • nice city
