Hey there, Lauren. I feel that working with the camera until you get a capture card would be pretty decent. If you want a capture card, then you can get a Dazzle from Best Buy for 60 bucks. That's how much mine was and it records pretty decent. It also comes with Pinnacle which is an easy editing system. If you need me to mute your vids, lemme know and send the vid to me, I'll mute it then send it right back!
