  • @DrummingWin way to be original

  • @DrummingWin Nicely stolen top comment from another Bill Bachman vid ..

  • So I bought the Quad Logic book with this in it. I couldn't figure out what the fuck anything.

  • That sound quality kills me *_*

  • when he was little, bill bachman's dad beat him with rims. now he doesnt go near them

  • @Drumboy13131 it might be paradiddlediddles

  • 0.0 HIS HANDS ARE IN THE MATRIX!!! he must be the One

  • when finishes playing and says, "It's not perfect"... jesus christ dude, I wonder what his perfect must sound like...

  • @HHSbass4 Also, is she any good at orchestral side of percussion playing? I'm an orchestral percussionist, so just wanted to if she is a respected, well rounded percussionist. Just being proficient at marching/contemporary doesn't make a player that fabulous.

  • At 1:11 were those just really fast singles? I couldn't tell. XD

  • @Drumboy13131 I'm a snare player not a tenor player, but I'd say those are probably singles, just cause it sounds like drums 1 2 3 and 4 all in rows.

  • @HHSbass4 The video that the Row-loff has of her on YouTube doesn't convince me as such.

  • #BOSS

  • what corps did he march

  • watch my vid of me playing the unt 1996 quad break...its not bad lol

  • "we're gonna have to go with that one. Not perfect, but I'm old"

  • Comment removed

  • Umm, anyone else think that he was holding four sticks for a second there? I mean DA-YUM!!!! I would use those sticks while i play but the rubber tears up my hands, any sugestions?

  • @VladimirTod17 gloves, hand tape, or just tear your hands to the point it doesn't tear

  • "Its not perfect" he says.

  • Bill Bachman is the Jesus of tenors

  • i can do better. well as in i can mess up and hit rims beetter

  • Since when were rimless tenors invented?

  • I think my brain just exploded from trying to process what just happened O_o

  • I thought Julie Davila was the best marching drummer in the States, but this makes me doubt that.

  • @adachir87 They are both amazing drummers. Bill was my drumline instructor in high school and Julie is my instructor in college right now and let me tell you, I feel so freaking lucky to have been able to learn from them.

  • 0:30 - 0:40 is sick...

  • anyone know where i could find the sheet music for this?

  • @drumline451 the quad book that bachman sells had this piece along w/ beatlicious and some other things that help improve your drumming

  • The monks called, they said "keep it down, we're trying to meditate over here!"

  • lol maybe its just me, but thats seemed about as perfect as it could get XD

  • i would go gay for him

  • @SasquatchGroove you're not a guy anymore..

  • @TheZacinthebox i guess not

  • Thanx

  • Where do you get the music for this?!

  • I hate when people say this is sped up. This is BILL BACHMAN not your quad section leader at your high school

  • This guy is 40 something, and he puts young people to shame with how good he is.

  • Where can you get the sheet music to this? Any particular book or website?

  • drummers always get laid...all the time

  • I have the instructional book with all of these beats!!!..... Just sayin

  • this was really great. i just reconmend that he slows things down so we can better comprehend what he's playing and also he lacks showmanship meaning he's not puting anything into it he's just playing notes. and yes their is a difference between playing music and playing notes. becuase its hard to explain i will not. but bill you are awsome even if you are old

  • so I am on drumline, tried out for snare but got tenors. (and yes I am a girl) but i'm super nervous! what should I do?

  • @katie3monster just practice practice practice. that is all you can do. also when you practice focus on your technique but do not sacrifice showman ship. i have seen a lot of drummers sacrifice showman ship cause they're trying to perfect their technique. showman ship meaning do more than just stand there and play notes you see on a piece of paper. still play what you see but make it entertaining.

  • @katie3monster Study Bill, Brian, and Tim. Watch some youtube videos, study rudimental logic, and do lots of 8s. Work on moving the beats along the drums, and look into the x and y axis of quads.

  • @katie3monster practice... with a met ... everday

  • @katie3monster Buy Bill Bachman's "Quad Logic" book. Learn about the x and y axis and that stuff... and yeah practice with a met.

  • tenors are gay snurrrrr bruhhhhhh

  • @Xelanoux did you honestly just come onto a video of the best tenor player out there, for the sole purpose of saying tenors are gay, and snare is better?

  • those tenors are bitchin'

  • Dude this guy helps with our drumline at harpeth. Booyah

  • what exercises do you do to get y ou up to your current skill level

  • damn.....wish i could go to the mountain and play tenors

  • I had a lesson with this guy. He's super nice.

  • :18 rim! he is human...

  • @drumsforever101 You can't see it but tenor drums have a small "shot" drum in the center, i think that is what he hit that time and later her uses them more. that's what i think it was...

  • @0509killer It was after the shot hit. You gotta listen closely. And BTDubbs I played tenors this year for my high school. I know the layout of the drums lol

  • Lol his sticks look like then are inputed from a 50s television show. They are moving so fast that the pixels are screwing up :p

  • he's a cheater!!!!!!! HES USING FOUR STICK GUYS :D

  • Haha the ending was the funniest You gotta love bill Bachman... "we might have to go with that one its not perfect but im old!" hahaha but still amazing

  • looks like a nice place to play.

  • Sweet! You have way good rolls, good sweeps also

  • oh my god... there he is buddy jesus himself!!!! but his father is on snare and we are going to say his name is jeff queen haha

  • The god father of tenor

  • Very good¡¡¡¡¡

  • Met this guy

  • Deep in the heart of the wilderness... Surrounded by mountains and shrubs... One man.. Makes a decision that will change his life... Set up a set of tenors and videotape himself playin a beast solo with epic scenery...

  • @wiithekingz its called a green screen you can tell by the lines that show up on his arms/hands

  • my drum instructor today, after a year of me begging him for some DCI competition stuff handed me the sheet music of this.. wow. didn't realize how hard drums could get.

  • 6 people disliked because they shit their pants and had to get their moms to clean it.

  • DAYUMM THATS SOME SKILL!

  • Comment removed

  • I need to know where you buy those fancy "rimless" sticks... Mine don't come with that feature

  • This guy was a judge at my band contest Saturday. I feel honored.

  • @overratedname Mine too. The competition at Heritage?

  • @BrytonMoore Heritage? I used to do competitions there. Haha.

  • Vic Firth you tramp I thought you and the blue devils were the perfect pair.

  • perfect tuning on those drums

  • @rreemmzzrruullee no its ridiculously tuned to high, so you only hear the hit not the note.

  • @AmorousYoshi to each his own i guess

  • he hit like one rim and said it wasnt great. wow. just wow.

  • what measure does he start from?

  • The people who think the video is sped up, or who think Bill looking at the drums makes this less impressive, or who think Spicer or Tim Jackson are better, are the kind of people that watched "Drumline: The Movie" and went, "DAYUM, THAT'S SOME SKILL!" I love Brian and Tim to death, but the fact that Bill is older and going deaf and can still play better than younger guys with fresher chops single him out as, in MY opinion, the best quad player out there.

  • @Jimanjee21 I totally agree, it's ridiculous for people to say that it is sped up. Bill taught the group I was in this past season and I've seen him play some of this stuff in person. He is an amazing player and it made me 20 times better getting to learn from him.

  • @Jimanjee21 LOL... i love the "drumline" reference!

  • @Jimanjee21 Who do you think those guys look up to?

  • @jlwtformer If you mean guys like Tim and Brian, I'm sure if you asked them, they'd probably say guys like Bill. They'd also mention the dudes that were their instructors and techs, just like the Carmel/Cavies dudes would mention Mac or BD guys saying ScoJo. But I think all those guys would agree on Bill's incredible skill.

Also, Bill, dude, could you get ANY more northern and polite? Jesus.

  • @Jimanjee21 I was joking, chill out dude.

  • @jlwtformer Huh? I thought you were just asking a question. Sorry if it came across upset or anything. My bad.

  • @Jimanjee21 It's cool dude.

  • @Jimanjee21 i like tim jackson most. i love bachman too. but tim jackson is my favorite. just my opinion.

  • ok well shouldn't tenor players be able to look up the whole time when they are playing...i mean ya you should look down every once in awhile but not the whole time....well over all pretty dang good...brian spicer and tim jackson still beat him though

  • @crazydrummertcir you should do two things.. learn how to spell "yeah" and if you think spicer and jackson are so much better.. you should probably just put your sticks down

  • @cddrummer96 ok right i will put my sticks down becuz bachman is better...not hahah ur funny....opies opus is nothing compared to spicers or jackson's solos. bachman will never compare yes he may have his own book but if tim jackson and spicer wrote one i would by there's not backmans. this guy don't amaze me....and secondly welcome to the t9 text world puta.....

  • @crazydrummertcir i'm not going to argue with someone who is too unintelligent to spell things properly.

  • @cddrummer96 well if you don't mind me sayin have been on drumline before like at all.....you're talking to some that is on drumline right now...so i know what i am talkin about unlike you who don't know a drum sound from a stick.

  • @crazydrummertcir again.. learn how to spell and speak proper english, no hables ingles? you're on a drumline? congrats? it's not hard to play bass 5 in a high school drumline in a nowhere town in nebraska ;)

  • @cddrummer96 ok spellin don't matter and ur right it ain't hard to play bass 5...I am on quads and am drum captain of the school....so ya well u need to learn who you are talking to before you start making comments towards a person who is captain for a 4a drumline almost 5a.

  • @crazydrummertcir quit making me shit my pants, i'm a caption too.. calm down kiddo

  • @cddrummer96 man ok you got me but where do u live and r u in high school or college.....

  • @crazydrummertcir i'm in high school.. our school is the best in the state in indiana.. in 27 years, we've made it to state everytime. of those 27 consecutive appearences, 25 of them were top 3 placings

  • @cddrummer96 ok ok well in the last 6 years with our new band director 5 of em were top 8 and 2 out of the 5 were top 5 and 1 was top three. the first year we didn't make it becuz it was his first year....dang man ur school is pretty good then...btw I am Colorado....what is your high school called

  • kill't it..

  • Bill over Tim anyday, this shit is awsome ( but chuck norris over all)

  • Tim Jackson vs Bill Bachman vs Chuck Norris

    who will win???

  • @zexolus why would you even have to put Chuck Norris into that equation? It's a proven scientific fact that Chuck Norris always wins no matter what.

  • "We're gonna have to go with that one. It's not perfect but I'm old"

  • wow i just shit a cynderblock

  • and i jizzed in my pants

  • F*** you people that thump this down!!!

  • hahahaha "not perfect but i'm old"

  • This solo makes me wish I would have learned to play tenors instead of snare....

  • @Dewilicious tenors is basically snare. if you break it up, it's around 80% snare and 20% movement. a strong tenor player has to be a strong snare player.

  • @pkim9 Well, minus traditional grip. :P

  • @DrummerCoCa unless you're tim jackson, then you're rockin' the reverse traditional hahaha.

  • 0:53 i simply love that ending. its beautiful.

  • You can tell that this video is played faster then it was recorded. Lame

  • @syctenor do u not know who his is or something?? it was not sped up! proof look at the bush behind him...it lokks like a normal waving in the wind bush to me.

  • @Goose1294 duh u can tell by his clothes and his body movements thats its played back faster

  • @syctenor look at the damn bush as proof at the end of the video the bush does not slow down. i do not see u proving it is sped up. "look at his clothes" his clothes dont slow down either its from the thing called the wind maybe if u went outside u would know what it is

  • @Goose1294 no pair of tenors has that of a stickado of a sound

  • @syctenor if it was sped up the sound we be much different. hes a sick tenor player i've seen him before.

  • @lynnhix exactly ive been palying tenors for a while and ive never heard some with that stickado of a sound

  • @syctenor ya its called being out doors in an open area and a camera that is far away and u cant spell staccato right

  • in soviet russia, tenors rape bill bachman.

  • @zachrosson do u not know who his is or something?? it was not sped up! proof look at the bush behind him...it lokks like a normal waving in the wind bush to me.

  • His stick heights were perfect

  • i can has an epic tenor solo?

  • I'de have to say Tim Jackson has more talent and better chops, but Bill Bachman is much cleaner overall.

  • the new percussion instructor guy at my school so I've heard from the drumline :)

  • @VivaLaAshley1 I highly doubt that.

  • @picklepunk Highly doubt that he's the new drum tech or whatever? Uhmm well Joe Hobbs left us. This is our new guy. I don't care if you believe it or not.

  • lmao not perfect but i'll have to go with that one

  • Best part.... 0:03-1:34 =D

  • bill bachman is THE man for tenors

he's just pure amazing at tenors

  • Lol he seems dissapointed at the end

  • i dont think it matters if tim jackson or bill bachman is better, they are both the best, why would you want to take sides after that?

  • I THINK ILL JUZ GO QUIT... AGAIN...

  • i hate die nasty drums. and yes there is a reason i spelt it that way

  • He is really good. Think Tim Jackson has him beat though. But the greatest part being that they just go find a random mountain and shoot a tenor solo. greatness.

  • @Keevawn haha I do love Bachman's sense of humor he does the craziest crap. I think Jackson has more chops but Bachman is more musical. It's all about preference.

  • Groovin'

    Gosh dang! :D

  • The last part is almost identical to the full battery's version of Reef-O-Matic's tenor part. Spooky. Its my school's tenor section leader piece this year. This kid Luke can play it flawlessly..

  • who are you? do you go to Oak Mountain? I play Bass 5

  • Do you go to Oak Mountain?

  • i posted on a Jojo MAyer video too, but him and Bill Bachman seem like they would be friends because they play in some of the most random spots, in front of a mountain, by a stream, by Wallabout Bay in Brooklyn. Very funny people, great drummers

  • anyone have sheet music for this?

  • You were going so dam fast (thats what she said) it looks like ur holding 4 mallets

  • Grow up...

  • Yeah, yamaha by far makes the best tenors, but bill bachman makes em sound better lol

  • @thecaleb1000 Dude, he can make cool-whip Tupperware sound awesome.

  • @thecaleb1000 i think those are dynastys dude

  • @InfernoX1994 I know those are Dynastys. I was just putting my two cents out there and saying that Yamaha makes the best tenors.

  • ohh...whoops

  • @InfernoX1994 lol its fine

  • :23 those triple strokes to a buzz, creative

  • "Yippee!"

  • "we'll have to go with that one. Not, perfect, but I'm old." holy crap you're are saying that wasn't perfect?

  • his forearms must be the size of cows, lawlz.

  • That is so awesome!

  • 0:40 - 0:47 DAAAAAMMMN

  • OMG

  • those drums sound sooo good.

  • This set of drums sounds amazing to me but I've never heard another set of Dynasty drums that sound like this. This sounds a lot like Yamaha to me.

  • i wish our school had dynasty drums

  • best tenor player in the world... he came to the drum clinic at my high school a few years back n gave me 2 pairs of sticks and signed them both!!!

  • @tdaveed09

You lucky, lucky bastard. *drowns in envy*

  • @tdaveed09 That definately makes him the best? :D

  • @anaconda52 it's not THAT that makes him the best. just listen to a fair amount of bill's stuff and his main competitor tim jackson. bill is just so much more musical than tim.

  • @osterianio I was trying to be funny...he said that bill gave him two pairs of sticks "he's the best :D

  • @anaconda52 haha, well, i misunderstood. though, i've never known any famous drummers i've met to sign BOTH sticks. awfully nice of him.
