@Laganzualoca MMA is a term used as "combat sport"it is not a seperate form if you do mma it mean you pratice multi martial arts to use in the ring such as muay thai and bjj ( bjj = 100% ground move from both 50%judo ground move and 50% juijuitsu ground move)the two most often use in MMA.And faction such as ufc and pride is use to distinguish themslef as who is who in the mma sport..fyi jujuitsu is different then brazillian juujuitsu

Traditionals striking martial arts like Karate, Kung Fu, or Taekwondo can be a good add for MMA, but not necessary for MMA, like Muay Thai does, or Jiujitsu or Brazilian Jiujitsu, Judo, Grappling does. The other day a guy tried to pursuade me that Taekwondo is the strike art for MMA, all we practice this discipline knows that Muay Thai or Kickboxing is what the fighters use in their fights.

@Laganzualoca: Is doesnt mean, that knowning Karate or Taekwondo could be effective in some fightsa or situations. You can win with a good tornado kick or ushiro mawashi geri. In my case Im practice Muay thai and Boxing, super heavy weight, want to practice BJJ a soon as possible cause I know that training this arts, I would be death againts a BJJ practioner in a MMA fight. Also I love Wup Kuen kung fu and I would love learning it.
