@Trashmetalmilitia There is a 1/4 inch jack and xlr input as well. you can record a track then listen through headphones and record second track. you can mix tracks on the h4. Also has amp modeling, effects and even mic modeling. Pretty cool.
hey, i have a question and i hope you can answer. if i wanted to plug my electric guitar into it, do i connect the zoom to my amp, or plug the guitar directly into it?
The H4 has 2 - 1/4 inch inputs and 2 xlr inputs.you could plug your guitar directly in to it. You can mic your amp and plug to xlr. It has phantom power if needed .built in effects as well or go through whatever pedal you use then to H4. You can record up to 4 tracks and mix directly on the device.
Best of all you can take to a gig, set set it on the table , set the gain levels and you get a fairly decent result. Sync with video too as most camcorder mics suck. Got this at pawn shop 275.00 cdn

Oh, and it also can be used as a digital interface to your PC through usb
It also has Mic modelling, compression and a few other vocal effect I think. not sure how good they are,
Some amp modelling to I think.
Going to do some stuff with it soon and will post it

You plug your instrument directly into it..

Yes you can.
Has 2 - 1/4 inch inputs as well as 2 XLR
1/4 inch is in the centre of the XLR inputs on the bottom so it is hard to see.
Could also mic your amp and plug into the H4
