It's quite something. You know before you even hear it that it will be great. Then you play it and you are still surprised by what Jeff will do. The man continues to delight. I'm not sure if he was always this great but just chose not to show everything he could do at once OR he just keeps getting better as time goes on.
@missionrd100: According to his pal Eric Clapton, JB does keep getting better and I'd agree. He keeps pushing himself by changing the people with whom he plays which forces him to adapt to new sounds and styles.
There's a story that when he was playing classic blues for the film 'Red, White & Blues' he'd pack up after working with the old folks, go to another studio and spend the night jamming with people half his age. That led to a Grammy for best rock instrumental on the album 'Jeff'.
Proof he should have done the theme for Sesame Street.
