  • Yes, yes, 40 years ago I prayed and asked God if this religion was true! God directed me to massive amounts of information -- including the Holy Bible -- that showed me it's not true! @8:41 "We're not fighting against another religion." Gee, that's funny. They came to my door and tried to pursuade me to switch from my church to theirs. I never went to their door and tried the reverse!

  • I like how if some one says something against the Mormon faith and are called ANTI-MORMONS, but what should the Mormon apostles, prophets and general authority that put down other "christian" sects.Wasn't it Orsen P.Pratt who stated that Catholics and Prots were the "Whores of Babylon"?Was he an Anti Catholic/Protestant?

  • heh, I met one of the actresses at my school randomly. I'm not LDS.

  • I have been to the Manti Pageant.

Mormonism is NOT Christian. Mormonism believes is many gods.

If Mormons want to become Christians, there is good news! You still can be...

  • @rickgigliotti Mormons believe & pray to only one God, our Heavenly Father. The Godhead constitutes God The Father, The Son, and The Holy Ghost. Don't misconstrue the Godhead, Mormons believe in only one Eternal God whose only begotten Son Jesus Christ is the Savior of mankind. Being the Godhead derives of three distinct separate entities many anti-LDS cite this as polytheism. However, this is not true, LDS pray to only one God, our Father in Heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ.

  • @jeraboo29 you might only "pray" to one god, but you believe in many gods

  • @rickgigliotti Just one Heavenly Father, and his Son Jesus Christ, our Redeemer. Read reply.

  • @jeraboo29 Elohem was one of many Mormon gods and Mormons can become gods themselves and populate their own world.

  • @rickgigliotti No, "Elohim" not "Elohem" is used as a name for God the Eternal Father. LDS do believe Christ will bestow all that He has upon those who are exalted in heaven, which includes Godhood. Yet, God the Father is, and always will be our Father in Heaven. The Old and New Testament speak of many gods, but only one true Father in Heaven. I thinks it's (John 20:17,) forgive me if I'm wrong, "I ascend unto my Father, and your Father, and to my God, and your God." This is the LDS God.

  • @jeraboo29 Thanks for pointing out another major reason why Mormonism is NOT Christian. Mormonism believes is many gods.

Christians love Mormons and really want them to understand the Truth in God of the Bible.

God is a spirit. John 4:24, Numbers 23:19

The Trinity is true. Mormonism teaches one thing, but Mormon scripture contradicts itself.

Ephesians 2:8-9 saved by grace alone. Titus 3:5 not of works

    Only one(1) God. Isaiah 43:10, 44:6

  • @rickgigliotti LDS worship one God. A purposeful attempt to pervert a faith in the name of love is intellectually & morally dishonest. I see you consistently spam LDS sites, perhaps research is needed away from anti-mormon sites. LDS do not subscribe to the Nicene Creed & Trinitarianism. The Trinity is comprised via man, not the Bible. God does work as Spirit through the GH & we are saved by Grace. I invite you to truly come unto Christ, & find the peace & Joy you seem to be lacking & deserve.

  • @rickgigliotti stop being a silly goose.

  • what silly people,,,believing in invisible men in the sky....tsk tsk

  • The Book of Mormon is true.

  • @brian8793

I know. Just like the Bible and the Quaran.

  • @tokinblckgie Ok, if that is your true feeling, then what can I say?

    God Bless : )

  • There are so many ways I could insult Mormonism right now and disprove it but I'd just like to say this instead: "I like turtles"

    See...much more peaceful.

  • @jeraboo29 Exactly, no arguments.

  • @RandomBackground Your comment in nature is argumentative and contentious. If your intention is to be peaceful & pro Tortoise, why post at all? If you seek to belittle ones faith & God, have the moral and intellectual courage to do so. To demean ones God, principles, & values in which they believe, practice, and hold sacred warrants a level of honesty I believe.

  • @jeraboo29 Now what did you have to go and do that for? Also, I don't remember any tortoises being involved?!!?However if you choose to believe in a charlatan of the lowest level then go right ahead and do so. Or if you want to actually want to discover the truth and do some research for yourself, I encourage you.

  • @jeraboo29

Why are Mormon's so ignorant? You believe that simply praying to 'god' will give you an answer. The logic behind that is foolish seeing as you have to believe to get an answer. An answer of which there can only be one. If you want to get a real answer with scientific evidence, do some research and you'll see why Mormonism is so hilariously fraudulent. Or, you can ignore this advice and come back with some clever little argument.

  • @RandomBackground Your argument based on name calling lacks validity & is not persuasive. Why such name calling? Yes, Mormons believe in prayer & direct revelation. And, that is the answer to your questions on ignorance, logic, & scientific evidence. Many convert to the LDS faith due to it reconciling with science & logic. How familiar are you with LDS? I ask because Atheists, Agnostics, & those who promote logic, science, tend to be LDS sympathetic. It may be worth a deeper look for you.

  • @jeraboo29 As my last sentence predicted: a clever little argument.

  • @jeraboo29 I ask you again to research about the Mormon faith with an open mind, and no I am not talking about biased 'anti-mormon' literature which has no purpose. I am talking about independent essays, studies, lectures, interviews and the like of scientists etc.. These have disproved Mormonism time and time again, you will honestly be surprised if you research with, as I said before, an open mind.

  • @jeraboo29 I was a member of the church for fourteen years, I am now sixteen. My parents were members all of their lives and my brother still is. Also I still have plenty of Mormon friends.

  • Mitt Romney had consistently strong poll numbers across all demographic groups. Interestingly, although he is a Mormon, he led the pack among Catholic voters, even beating out Palin, 23.6 percent to 21.1 percent.

  • I assume these comments are monitored.

  • 7. Mitt Romney

Emboldened by conservative supporters, Romney is keeping his eyes on 2012 presidential prize. Romney has been delivering a lot of keynoters and political endorsements around the nation and is getting ready to launch a book-promotion tour

  • Answer: No one so far. Mitt Romney, the venture capitalist and former governor of Massachusetts who ran a pretty good campaign in 2008, remains the class of the field but kept a low profile in 2009. Mike Huckabee led in some polls of Republicans that also found Sarah Palin popular.

  • But Huckabee ended the year uncertain about running (and damaged by a clemency scandal from his days as Arkansas governor). Romney remains too much a general election candidate, a problem for the Democrats to be sure but far from the average Republican activist's cup of tea. His past positions on social issues were too styled to Massachusetts, and his Mormonism still leaves the party's religious base lukewarm at best."

  • I live in Lyons, which is like 20 minutes from HC and like 15 from Palmyra. You can always tell when Mormonstock is going on because the town is overrun by smiling, beaming faces and cars bearing Utah plates.

  • The LDS church sounds real good. I just have one problem. If we are all the children of God why does the Bible talk about hell and damnation. Isn't someone in trouble here? I mean all that wrath of God stuff must be for some reason. So if we are all the children of God, which of his chidren go to hell?

  • Ref...ted1611

HEAVEN & HELL BELIEF vs. FATHER'S MANY MANSIONS....

All Christians are taught with only two choices (Heaven or Hell) Christians even believe Mr.Ghandi is in Hell while the prisoner that was on the cross with Jesus is saved & in Heaven...Do you think that is just judgments?

The LDS Church believe in many mansions as promised to us by Jesus Christ (JOHN.14:2-3) and as described by Paul during the resurrection in different glories. (1CORR.15:40-41)

  • The Book of Mormon is not about hell and damnation.

  • You're right; it's a cheap copy of the Bible stolen from the Bible.

  • You don't have to believe, but you are missing out on the word of God.

  • The word of God is in the church that authenticated the forged documents created by Mark Hofman? The church that allowed Ted Bundy to become a member? The church based on the tall tales of Joseph Smith, the man who couldn't tell the same story twice?

    That church?

It looks like you have a lot to learn about your own faith.

  • I love the Hill Cumorah Pageant. I was baptized in August 2008 after years of reading, praying, and asking my friend and her family many, many questions.

My mother has always been kind enough to take me every year since my friend moved away, even though she is not LDS.

This pageant is so beautiful, and I feel such a wonderful presence each time I go.

  • I love Palmyra. I had an opportunity to live there for 6 months last year, it was awesome!

  • I live about forty-five minutes from there, but I can only go once a year, at the time of the Pageant. It's always so beautiful there. I love all the sites there, but I think that my favorite is the Sacred Grove.

  • I'm agnostic, but if I have to pick one religion that would be LDS.

They seem to be the more organized and more true to their convictions. I also like the real community spirit among their members.

I only dislike its no tolerance to homosexual people and the racist past..

  • Contrary to other Churches, LDS, think no less of a soul regardless of their sexuality. LDS believe everyone is a literal child of God & we are commanded to love & serve one another. The gay issue is with the eternal family, not damnation. For the family to be eternal, & progress to the next life together, one must be sealed & married as man & wife. This is central to God's plan, & LDS believe in this with great conviction & sacredness. Thus, they exhibit the positive attributes you cited.

  • The LDS Church has a rich history regarding ethnicity. In the 1800's, LDS were hit with an extermination order in Missouri, partly for being anti-slave. Today, their are more LDS outside the U.S. than inside. The Church has grown at super rates in Mexico, Africa, S. America, & the inner city. The priesthood ban, lifted in the 1970's, from my understanding was in regards to blood line. At times, through the scriptures, the Lord may take his priesthood for a time, & than fully give it back.

  • Is impossible to argue on Religious Memes.

OK I could discuss but is extensive and totally different from Dogma.

Even if I manage to convince you on my world views, I won't feel good about spoiling your spiritual world.

  • Oh no, Lucem2, I respect your beliefs, and you would never have to convince me of your world views. I would definitely respect them. I apologize if I seemed like I was arguing. I was trying to share a little bit regarding those issues you mentioned. You had many nice things to say about LDS, I appreciate that.

  • @jeraboo29 : "Contrary to other Churches, LDS, think no less of a soul regardless of their sexuality." Wasn't the Mormon church largely responsible for prop 8 passing?

  • LDS (2% of CA) did play an important role in Prop. 8. Yes, LDS believe every human is a literal child of God sent to earth as part of His plan. Central to this is the family. LDS believe families can be eternal & progress together in the next life. With any policy that disturbs marriage, LDS will vote their conscious. LDS believe those who are gay have a special earthly trial. God loves all his children equally. Prop. 8 is not an issue of damnation rather an issue of protecting something sacred.

  • We don't need the wacko religion founded by Joseph Smith informing the rest of us on what is sacred.

  • wgordon8, it is apparent you have not read the Holy Bible or the Book Of Mormon. Is this true? Why so much vile with so little knowledge? Why deny someones right to exist or worship freely? I invite you to read the Holy Bible, and the Book of Mormon, pray to know if it's true. I have known many who have shared your views, and have found peace and joy after praying about the Book Of Mormon. Just countless stories, let me know if you need a copy, good luck!

  • wgordon8, please do not post your bigoted comments here, this is not the forum for it. You have your own channel to spew vile hatred, if that is your wish. May the Lord soften your heart and bring you enlightenment. Study LDS history, as most of the names and places you cited were spelled incorrectly. As well, many of your sentences were false, & incoherent. Your Heavenly Father loves you, I invite you to learn of Him, & His Son Jesus Christ, that you may find the peace & joy you seek.

  • Wow I am pretty surprised by Mitt's behavior during the commercial break! He usually shows more control. He should have just politely asked him to stop.

  • i was in a performance of this, well not exactly this, but it was fun. I had a solo part

  • It is tough being the new kid on the block. Anytime you challenge the status quo people are going to be upset. Look what happened to Jesus the Christ.
