Ghost takes the fun out of the game for other people, if someone uses it and abuses it then the real issue is the player. The cod community is usually little 12, 13 yrs old kids using cheap tactics to gain something none deserving.
here everyone. think. in black ops there is a counter to nearly everything. when trieng to take out a sniper while u have an smg u get closer. ur an enemy is hiding behind a wall its counter is hardened. if people are using headsets and tracking ur sounds use ninja. if there is air support in the sky u have sam turrets and ghost. if there is a napalm strike or flame throw flak jacket pro. claymores. hacker. and most of all IF YOU WANT TO NOT BE SEEN ON A MAP GHOST.

The problem with Ghost is that a lot of people who use it, abuse it. They'll use it to help them camp easier and play like little girls. I have no issue with Ghost, as long as the person who's using it is actually moving around and doing something.
The reason why I think people hate ghost in black ops is because in all the other CODs ghost(UAV jammer, cold blooded) was in the same tier as stopping power; now that there's no stopping power people get upset.
Regardless of what you say, defending stuff like 2nd chance, jugg, commando knife, doesn't make anything better. Recognizing the problems in stuff like that and expressing your distaste is hardly something to chastise.

I always use ghost but I'm a rusher not a camper. This morning I got hate mail from a camper using a motion sensor and hardline so he could get his spy plane quicker. I kept killing his ass until he rage quit. Then he sent another message gettin mad because I was using hacker pro
I don't get how people can rage over a game. Countless times, I've heard people start screaming as loud as they can go and start crying, meanwhile I just say what the fuck just happened and then move on.
Ghost itself is not the problem, the real issue is when people camp while using it. Now add a sliencer to the combo, last stand, and a motion sensor or claymore and there you have an unethical player. I don't understand how people use these cheap tactics even though they don't get that much kills while using it and keep on doing it, nor I see the fun of it. Personally I don't like using ghost, but it is indeed an useful perk.

Since I am very competitive, I find it useless to camp, and don't even understand it at all since it proves no skill whatsoever. Like @MrNickalollyoff said, ghost is extremely overpowered as a Tier 1 Perk, so it becomes a very obvious option for a lot of people. As to annoying people, ruining other people's fun for your own is just selfish, you are better off pranking IRL.

Same thing goes to basketball (that I absoloutely love playing), if I'm getting my ass beat over people intentionally fouling or overstepping, I'm going to dislike it. I just think that campers (not ghost users in general) show no skill whatsoever, and ghost is in the perk slot that just encourages such stuff.
@Ajoscram Use hacker and ghost pro. Hacker will enable you to see the motion sensor. Ghost pro will enable you to go undetected by the motion sensor....easy way to beat campers.
@TacoKissez Yup, tried it before, but like I said I don't like ghost. Hacker Pro is a MUST on a lot of the classes I play though. BTW it is the Hacker Pro what makes you invisible to Motion Sensors, not Ghost. But thanks for the suggestion dude.
@Ajoscram There is a pretty easy solution to this. Don't keep running back to these people to try and get the revenge kill. If they get you once, ok it's annoying but if you keep running back you just keep feeding them with more kills. If they are sitting next to a doorway and nobody comes through it they can't get kills now can they? Problem solved!

I agree, and while there are some "tactics" I dont agree with. At the end of the day it is a game. It will never be anything close to real life in anyway. I have no problem with ghost, suppressors, and of the perks or guns. For every gun and play style there is a fairly easy counter.Using ghost? Flash and clear. Camping? Tube, flash, and clear. Famas or "over powedered gun"? Keep em at a distance so the recoil is more of a problem for them. Take em out with small bursts of fire
I dont have a problem with people who use ghost with a silenced weapon i have a problem with people who use ghost and either camp with a silenced weapon or use grenade launcher that pisses me off alot if your gonna use ghost at least dont camp with your grenade launcher up
Easy solution for when most of the other team are ghost users: lightweight pro and marathon pro. No one can hide from you on the map because you're just everywhere all the time, and lightweight hides you from radar almost as good as ghost b/c the UAV scans too slow to keep up with you. The most fun thing to do in Black Ops is to run around tomahawking ghost users that think they're hidden until they get fed up and leave the game :)
It's not the people who complain about ghost that want the game to be easy as possible, it's the people who do use ghost and silencer that don't want the game to be challenging, b/c if they wanted a challenge, they wouldn't care about showing up on the radar. Using ghost OR a silencer is cool, using them simultaneously is like changing the game to easy mode. The only time I use ghost is when chopper gunners/gunships are constant and I don't want to sit inside doing nothing the whole game.
@Varanusindicus ...to continue, the radar is a good thing, and games should continue to have them where the red dot shows up when you shoot. I wish it was the UAV/spy plane that was non-existant in the game, or at least take make the UAV one of the higher-up killstreaks (move it to blackbird level and take out the blackbird). THAT would make the game much more interesting and fun.
ghost is not fine. it turns the game into a hide and seek match and forces you to check around every single corner even when youve got a killstreak made to detect enemies.

Yeah, they just want to prestige because everyone else had. Why do people bitch so much about ghost? I don't play black ops down to the fact that i find it very slow paced. I may be missing something, but am i wrong to say that since cod4 all the games have had uav jammer and mw2 had cold blooded. Why do people make such a big deal of ghost, i really would like to know. Seeing as the other games had the same thing really, nobody bitched before. So why now?

@NastyGamingHD because in cod4, waw and mw2 all had stopping power. No one would use uav jammer because people prefered stopping power. In black ops there is no stopping power, and people use ghost because it is the most overpowered perk in that teir.

@amador2694 not really, i use the perk thats most helpful to me, i have ghost but i prefer scavenger cuz i just run around, but im still cautious... and in cod4, i use uav jammer, just cause bando is perk 1... and i mainly played snd anyway.... but i use a stopping power class for certain maps (crossfire,ambush, blah blah blah..) mainly when i have the random feeling of sniping, lol... anyway, dont think ppl always use the most overpowered perk in the teir...

Ghost takes the fun out of the game for other people, if someone uses it and abuses it then the real issue is the player. The cod community is usually little 12, 13 yrs old kids using cheap tactics to gain something none deserving.

here everyone. think. in black ops there is a counter to nearly everything. when trieng to take out a sniper while u have an smg u get closer. ur an enemy is hiding behind a wall its counter is hardened. if people are using headsets and tracking ur sounds use ninja. if there is air support in the sky u have sam turrets and ghost. if there is a napalm strike or flame throw flak jacket pro. claymores. hacker. and most of all IF YOU WANT TO NOT BE SEEN ON A MAP GHOST.

The problem with Ghost is that a lot of people who use it, abuse it. They'll use it to help them camp easier and play like little girls. I have no issue with Ghost, as long as the person who's using it is actually moving around and doing something.

The reason why I think people hate ghost in black ops is because in all the other CODs ghost(UAV jammer, cold blooded) was in the same tier as stopping power; now that there's no stopping power people get upset.

I always use ghost but I'm a rusher not a camper. This morning I got hate mail from a camper using a motion sensor and hardline so he could get his spy plane quicker. I kept killing his ass until he rage quit. Then he sent another message gettin mad because I was using hacker pro

Ghost itself is not the problem, the real issue is when people camp while using it. Now add a sliencer to the combo, last stand, and a motion sensor or claymore and there you have an unethical player. I don't understand how people use these cheap tactics even though they don't get that much kills while using it and keep on doing it, nor I see the fun of it. Personally I don't like using ghost, but it is indeed an useful perk.

@florakos Actually you are right, the game (black ops, not CoD in general) gives leverage to those players who like to camp. Since I am very competitive, I find it useless to camp, and don't even understand it at all since it proves no skill whatsoever. Like @MrNickalollyoff said, ghost is extremely overpowered as a Tier 1 Perk, so it becomes a very obvious option for a lot of people. As to annoying people, ruining other people's fun for your own is just selfish, you are better off pranking IRL.

@BigStud2012 That is why I said ghost is not an issue bro. That 1 player out of 150 is that camper that can really get on my nerves, just because of my competitive nature. Same thing goes to basketball (that I absoloutely love playing), if I'm getting my ass beat over people intentionally fouling or overstepping, I'm going to dislike it. I just think that campers (not ghost users in general) show no skill whatsoever, and ghost is in the perk slot that just encourages such stuff.

@Ajoscram Use hacker and ghost pro. Hacker will enable you to see the motion sensor. Ghost pro will enable you to go undetected by the motion sensor....easy way to beat campers.

@Ajoscram There is a pretty easy solution to this. Don't keep running back to these people to try and get the revenge kill. If they get you once, ok it's annoying but if you keep running back you just keep feeding them with more kills. If they are sitting next to a doorway and nobody comes through it they can't get kills now can they? Problem solved!

i started online gaming back in mw2 and i used the ump45 grenade launchers danger close and i sat in buildings with a thermal sniper picking people off since that is what i always heard of snipers doing and all was fine but then suddenly one day i was doing my ump45 thing and this like 24 year old dude shouted at me calling me a noob and i sucked i was like ok so i got my grenade launcher with the same results..then i used my sniper set up and they all called me a hardscoper...i didnt even know

Everyone that says Ghost is overpowered is just dumb, really. In COD 4 there was UAV jammer, no one complained. In WAW there was Camouflage, no one complained. In MW2 there was Cold Blooded, no one complained. Really this is just another thing for kids to blame losing their kill streaks on.

I agree, and while there are some "tactics" I dont agree with. At the end of the day it is a game. It will never be anything close to real life in anyway. I have no problem with ghost, suppressors, and of the perks or guns. For every gun and play style there is a fairly easy counter.Using ghost? Flash and clear. Camping? Tube, flash, and clear. Famas or "over powedered gun"? Keep em at a distance so the recoil is more of a problem for them. Take em out with small bursts of fire

Easy solution for when most of the other team are ghost users: lightweight pro and marathon pro. No one can hide from you on the map because you're just everywhere all the time, and lightweight hides you from radar almost as good as ghost b/c the UAV scans too slow to keep up with you. The most fun thing to do in Black Ops is to run around tomahawking ghost users that think they're hidden until they get fed up and leave the game :)

It's not the people who complain about ghost that want the game to be easy as possible, it's the people who do use ghost and silencer that don't want the game to be challenging, b/c if they wanted a challenge, they wouldn't care about showing up on the radar. Using ghost OR a silencer is cool, using them simultaneously is like changing the game to easy mode. The only time I use ghost is when chopper gunners/gunships are constant and I don't want to sit inside doing nothing the whole game.

@Varanusindicus ...to continue, the radar is a good thing, and games should continue to have them where the red dot shows up when you shoot. I wish it was the UAV/spy plane that was non-existant in the game, or at least take make the UAV one of the higher-up killstreaks (move it to blackbird level and take out the blackbird). THAT would make the game much more interesting and fun.
