  • Holy cow, who's the beauty?

  • come on... the screaming is out of control... nexxxt

  • I bet one of those girls shouting was my grandmom, she introduced me to the 60`s music...I love you grandmom, you rule!!! xD

  • oh i thought that song in Kill Bill v 2 was the original

  • My sisters loved the Beatles, and they were good, but I loved the Zombies. “Tell Her No” and “Time of the Season” are excellent tunes.

  • We all screamed like this in the sixties especially the Beatles!

  • SQUEEEEL!!!!! SHREEEK!!! Holy cow. I love Colin Blunstone, but not THAT much... lol!

  • looks like I'm watching a show of Justin Bieber.

  • the screams are meant to make us think that it's a live gig and not some silly lip sync pantomime because the tech wasn't able to record in those t.v. studios.

  • Are you serious about the screams or are these just added in..... because it sounds like someone left the gate to the zoo unlocked overnight (with the exception of the zombies of course).

  • i cant heaaaaaaaaaaaar!

  • Them girls ruined the whole song

  • @JXSIDNEYX They ruined The Beatles on Ed Sullivan too...I think a Muzzle should be issued to teenage girls for TV tapings becaue real fans have to suffer with their screaming...and 40 years later WE are still listening while THEY are listening to Justin Bieber...it never ends.

  • LOL, they scream like they're being raped by a horse.

  • The girls are to coool to scream, I was there, I know, I maaried her. Itsall good! Enjoy life, it's to short not to...

  • THE TOYS' (A LOVER'S CONCERTO FAME) "DESERTED" RIFF IS BASED ON THIS SONG.

  • La banda de los años 60 The Zombies actuará el próximo 11 de noviembre en Vigo

  • i dont get it, why do girls scream; silly girls!

  • @porridgeeveryday Girls have hormones too!

  • AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

  • I remember when those tight slim pants came out in 1964 and guys were being accused of showing off their balls... LOL!

  • they never cue any girls to scream that's how it was back then I would like to see any girls screaming like that today it will never happen like this again.

  • Wheres the damn song all u can hear is them girls screaming and screeching

  • if you're having trouble hearing, you could just cue up the studio track, cuz he's lip syncing.

  • watch ready, steady, go and see how bad the cameramen are on that!!

  • This is a joke. They cued the screaming girls up in the mix on purpose. Funny...

  • @MadEclectic Today girls are screaming for Justin Bieber. A few years ago girls were yelling for those German boys band called Tokio Hotel. They are all white.

So don't tell me that girls don't scream anymore for white boys. You now very damn well that your message is nothing more than propaganda for something really bad.

P.S. I like this music more than Techno or hiphop. So in that case you're sooo fucking right!!!

  • Looks like Lee Meriwether at 1:52

  • wow girls back then must of been really horny back then, they need to shut up

  • what the hell are you blabberin about?

  • omg i actually cant hear over the screams :/

  • it ruins the fucking song all the screamingif anyone has a video that does having screaming send it to me lol

  • @omygoodnessgracious You never could at most live performances in those days. Pity.

  • Why did girls used to scream like that?!? It's so insane. I also think Colin was, and it's a really cool song, but I just don't understand that unhinged screaming. It's so over the top.

  • never mind microphones ............ i didnt know they had wi fi guitars in the 60's ...... but brilliant all the same.......... one of my fave songs of all time

  • how is this live? they don't even have microphones.. btw it's great :D

  • Man.....

    Crazy times!!!

  • niiice video. 0:53... priceless face!!!

  • looks like "ready, steady,go"

  • Nice- keyboard solo comes up, so cue camera on the drummer ;-)

  • hahaha i just noticed that, too

    1960's directing

  • @notvalidcharacters The cue shot was more thought out then your united thumbs up. There is no electric piano on the stage and I prefer to see the drummer shot then faking a Mississippi Wurlitzer solo on an Italian Vox Continental organ.

  • You mentioned exactly what I was thinking!! Why not focus on the keyboardist?!

  • wow it´d be awesome if i could actually hear the song........

  • exactly

  • Rod Argent-God gave rock and roll to us

  • Was that canned screaming?

  • I think screaming girls were always readily available--there's wasn't much else to do in those days...

  • Of course, the fact that you cant hear the music because of little girls soooooooo excited. It's like Hannah Montana. People scream during her concerts, and you can't understand what they're singing

  • The difference is that the zombies are good

  • oh, you weren't there We screamed and screamed and screamed! have no idea why

  • What's in White's pocket? Looks like a raccoon tail. Hullabaloo always had such bizarre sets - here, stained glass lamps and girls on sofas. I seem to remember a bit for, maybe "California Dreamin", that had bathtubs and plumbing, and go-go dancers suddenly appear out of the bathtubs (and one of the guys starts hitting on one) - yes, that's on YouTube. Classic song, and great to see it like this.

  • Beck in the mid-sixties Esso (now Exxon) had a promotion saying that you would get a tiger in your tank with their gas, and they had a giveaway of these tiger tails, the idea being that you would hang one from your gas tank fill. It looks like one of those tiger tails.

  • Awesome band. Smoother than the usual 60's groups. The Beatles still stands tall though.

  • Some of the comments on this video are hilarious!

  • That's not Lee Meriweather at 1:53 you dummy.

  • Singer reminds me of Jeff Buckley. Look him up on Youtube.

  • I never thought of it before, but you're completely right.

  • Except Colin is a better swimmer ;)

  • I think we have to understnd this is 1965, the year of the screaming teenager - an almost concert ritual and maybe a precursor to sexual liberation of the latter 60s and early 70s. Of course these days most band singers would tell them to shut the hell up before proceeding.

  • the screams are adetriment to the musinc. The stupid teenagers should have had their heads cut off. that would have stoped the rest. They just needed an example. Music like this should not have been subjected to such anarchy.

  • When I saw them last summer I felt like screeming too.

  • it's so funny how you said the screaming may have been a precurser to sexual liberation

  • I sense a flashback!

  • One of the all-time greats

    paz

  • 1:53 beautiful shot of a (very)young and beautiful Lee Meriwether

  • haha great song....way too much screaming =D

    great band <3

  • There should be some way to get people to shut up before the song starts. Its pretty funny how obnoxious everyones screaming for the first minute. Also pretty irritating

  • Girls, save it for the bedroom!!!

  • good song

    but cant hear shit

  • Incredible song! When you consider how young they were, the fact that could come up with such a polished and sophisticated song is amazing!

  • One of the most underrated bands of

    the '60's.

  • damn idiot bitches scream so pathetic can't hear anything. they must be destroyed

  • quit hatin. i wish i had idiot bitches like that

  • PowR420TocH, careful what you wish, for you will end up in a mental institution after a month with them, or the jail - depends on the individual. :)

  • I agree with you but at the same time agree wtih PowR420TocH :P. Great song. I need to find some Zombies albums.

  • ha. i hear ya but the screams kinda make it.

    it's pop-mania!

  • my face zombies music !

  • damn Argent wrote good tunes, If only his solo work was as stellar

  • What's the name of the guitar player with the glasses? I like his voice.

  • Chris White- He wrote some good songs too- I love his harmonies in this song too- they really compliment Colin Blunstone's voice to perfection

  • the screaming girls are very annoying

  • They were probably Beatles fans trying to drown out the sound of the Zombies. And all those girls screaming at the Beatles actually loved the Zombies, which is why they tried to overpower the Beatles music with their wailing.

It's the only thing that makes sense, since no sane person would SCREAM at a musician they liked, especially when that musician was musicianizing.

  • I had some screems left over from the 60's when I saw the Zombies recently. Check out the Irving Plaza footage. These guys had it going on then and still do.

  • Genious geniallllllllissime j'aime bcp

  • The screaming is unnerving. Girls don't scream like that at musicians now. They just yell "WOOOOOO!!", and you get the impression it's more because they're on tv than because they really love Panic at the Disco, or whatever. The 60s had a whole different level of that stuff, true hysteria. Zombiemania!

  • couldn't say it any better

  • A good but overlooked band.

  • More like its a bit like the beginning of electronica, very relaxed jazzed harmonies

  • Hugely important song. Rock & Roll is what the kids said when our baby-boom numbers got us out of the adult squash-box for a few short years: it was all about young love succeeding. The adults killed it quick, but it bounced back for a few months: The Beatles - just a brief, beautiful echo. Then, "She's Not There" - the first premonition of "goth" - marked the decent guys' horrible realization: the girls are all being made crazy, despairing, vacuous, false, promiscuous.

  • I think this was the song playing on the juke box at the Blind Beggar Pub in London when one of the Kray Brothers murdered George Cornell.

  • No,that was 'Pinky & Perky':'Bang, bang(my baby shot me down)'.

  • l-o-v-e it. The Zombies are fantastic. Great music.
