But the fact is....... your a good looking girl ! , great eyes , nice skin etc AND you must be joking you think you need to lose weight ? lol Your not even close to being overweight lol !
If you get the right combos of foods, you can hide the taste of the greens. I just started with some juicing. I don't like carrots, but when I juiced them with apples, I couldn't taste the carrots at all. You can use a blender to make the green smoothies. Karen Knowler is a raw food coach and does videos on youtube. You can find good recipes out there. And a lot of people can't or don't go 100% raw. They just say they have an 80-90% raw lifestyle.
You don't need to loose weight, you already look fantastic! If you're eating raw to put good things in your body then go for it. I wish I knew about this lifestyle, or any good for your body life style when I was your age-I'm 32 by the way. Please stop saying you don't look good/putting your self down, focus on being good to your body as its the only one you got and set life goals for yourself, food as well as others. Thanks for posting.
i agree with shannzb that your weight is not a problem if u need to improve a little bit fine the raw food diet is good for your system anyway you should go ahead and try but i think that with a little bit of confidence u would feel a lot better in any kind of clothes .....take care
intervals. maybe 3 times a day. just whenever you can. i've made it fun and to where it's no longer a "chore". i love exercise. lol. anyway, keep up with the raw stuff. it's definitely the best way to go. completely healthy. good luck to you. if you have any questions, i'd be more than happy to offer advice.
with other people. we're all different. definitely get some exercise though. get yourself some weights if you don't have them already. start with 5 pounds and work your way up. when those start feeling too easy, move to 8s or 10s. cardio should be secondary. weight training is most important. muscle burns fat and weighs more than fat. my sister is 150 and 1 inch shorter than i am. and we're the same size. but i am 180. so you can see how much muscle i have. i work out daily. i try for 10 minute
you sure don't look like you have a weight problem. i mean, not a drastic one. i used to weigh 270. i am now 180. just bad habits and a poor diet. too much fast food. i completely cut that out. well, not completely, i do have it about once a month, if that. i recently started on raw myself. i am loving it! make sure you're drinking plenty of water. half your weight in ounces at least! also, you can't really set a weight goal. everyone carries weight different and you can't ever compare yourself
Well I guess you have some watchers now ;-) Good and informative video and you are on the right path! Perhaps you will post some more, like an update on how it's going? I'll subscribe ;-)

Hey! Are you still eating Raw? Check out "RawDownUnder". She's a riot! She is very inspiring. Also, have you ever made a green smoothie. I've been making mine in my food processor. It's just dark leafy greens, a banana, ice and a bit of orange juice. Delish. Beware of detox. It can be brutal. Liked your video. You're adorable. Post to let us know how it's going. It's not arrogant. It's fun.
Hey, I saw your video. I would suggest that you use herbs to give your veggies more taste! Love garlic. Your local store should have great herbs that are mixed.
How are you doing on the raw food lifestyle these days? I find going mostly raw to be a wonderful experience. Quite intense at first, in my own situation. Jessica, I am watching this video, and I am thinking.....what an absolutely gorgeous girl!! You are so beautiful. Good for you trying raw, because in the end, you will be much healthier and better off, not even for the looks thing(because you need no help in that department, believe me). I have a nephew who recently spent 2 months in the hospital due to an ATV accident, and we attribute that accident in part to his being way overweight (300+ POUNDS, works at McDonald's)
going raw is not hard, try low carb fruits in the morning until noon. make a killer avocado salad with vegs you like put sweet crunchy sour try different vegs. make u some dressing, make it taste good, w/ 1/3 good vinegar or lemon s/p 2/3 olive oil sweeten to taste. good fats are good they make u feel full so do eat 1-2 avocados everyday! make salad so good u want to eat them twice. avo milk, ripe avo in blender, stevia, and water, blend= avo milk. add carob next time. do easy and tasty. peace
you are very, very pretty. seriously, gorgeous. and you don't wave to apologize for expressing yourself. don't be so hard on yourself. you're doing great. i reccomend you watch movies like The Corporation and How To Cook Your Life to give you some perspective that might make you not want to eat crap food. and take it easy :).
Hi Jessica, I wrote Ur inbox cuz this wouldn't let me write much, so I was just letting U know in case U hadn't looked there.
Keep following Ur instincts & bliss. Would dig talking with U, learning more how Ur raw adventure is going:)So neat U never ate twinkies, I used 2 love em:)
Fear, guilt, and shame serve no purpose. They are totally destructive emotions. If you feel like you have to eat a twinkie at 3am, eat it. AND ENJOY IT. Just know that the Twinkies will fall away naturally. You just wont care. The cravings will go away naturally -- as long as you keeping adding the raw plant foods in that you like. It will just lick for you eventually. A ll the good stuff that taste good to you will crowd out everything else. Everything will be bliss on tap. Trust me.
IF you eat food you hate, you will exhaust yourself. I hate broccoli-- raw or cooked. Guess what -- I skip it. Eat the foods that are pleasurable to you.
GO to your local grocery store and buy avocados. Avocados contain lipase. Lipase is an enzyme that breaks down body fat. If I eat 2 avocados in a day, I am too full to eat anything else.
Eat when you're hungry, stop when you're not (not when you're full, but just when you're no longer hungry). That's the best advice I can give for losing weight. Not that I think you need to lose any. I think you're beautiful, but I know how hard that can be to hear. Or believe.
As for raw food tips: I'm not a raw foodist, but it really interests me. My biggest piece of advice to you is to research, research, research. There's a wealth of information out there. Go find it.
You don't need to research. God didn't put living species on this planet to go study what to eat, by reading books and taken classes on what is good for you. What makes sense and what your body naturally will accept is what you are supposed to eat. Not what is done by tradition, ritual, religious, spiritual, or simply passed own by generations.
If you're trying out a new way of eating and give it up because you're eating foods that are unappealing to you, then yeah, research into finding recipes that will work with your preferences is a good idea. Maybe a varied, balanaced raw food diet won't make her feel good in the end, but she'll never get far enough to figure that out if she just keeps eating plain crudites.
Keep up the good work. I commend you on your perserverance. It takes time, be patient with yourself. More doors are going to open for you, you have no idea all the good things that will come your way. The raw diet is more than you think it is.
Have you tired raw brocolli? Its not edible. We've been conditioned to think its edible. Even if you can eat it, its so hard on your digestion. very little water content and really tough on your system. Have you seen the stalk? its like rock. Its a simple concept. if you have to cook to eat it, it probably isn't for you to eat.
Listen, listen, listen to your body...14 days is about my limit without some animal protein or cooked food...I feel great for about 14 days, then I start feeling like I need a little energy boost...What's worse, a little tuna or a false sense of energy through caffeine? Again, I am only relating this to myself. Also, help someone in need daily and you will help yourself.
The basic european food groups for you should work fine: the four food groups. Let your body direct you by what it wants and responds and feels well to, reasonably. Live for performance.
Well, i'm not going to do this forever personally but when I do screw up or if I do screw up i'm not allowing myself to eat meat. So, if I do screw up, i'll still be vegitarian.
I could understand trying raw food if you think it would help you improve your health, but why try to lose weight? You seem to be at a healthy weight. I personally believe through research and experience that raw food(including animal food) is healthy, just not a strict raw VEGAN diet, especially if your still growing. And I personally like girls with a little curviness to them. Get a boyfriend that thinks your the bomb and your self esteem will go through the roof.
omg, jessicaw you dont have to be so hard on yourself you dont look fat at all live your life and wear jeans and shorts and this is chris from school. chris the 7th grader. kk bye
i don't think it's arrogant to make a video. I had no viewers when I started posting my lame videos and now I have all kinds or subscribers. You would be surprised how many people are interested in how people do on a raw food lifestyle.
Make some crazy raw salad dressings with spices. You can get so much flavor and excitement with dressings!
Add some green smoothies in there too. They are yummy and they fill you up and give you energy without making you tired. Just fruit and greens and blend!
Yeah, I guess it's not really arrogance, but I thought it to be weird, since no one watches my videos hah. But, then again I guess that's how you get subscribers in the first place. Ohh, that's cool. I should really buy a juicer first haah. Thanks! :]
i bet alot of peole have watched your video . ayways i just thought i would say hi and tell ya that raw foods are the way to go . i believe the quickest way to loose weight with raw food is to eat alot of greens and not many high shugar fruits . anyways thatks for making a video and sharing your thoughts with the rest of us out here :) keep thinking of and eating raw foods . you wont ever reget it . peace
And dont be afraid to get creative and expiriment. You like cauliflower --- you can easily make a raw creamy cashew cauliflower soup... cauliflower curry... mashed cauliflower to taste like mashed potatoes... Living on RAW is WONDERFUL, just find what works for you babe.
If it's something you are serious about, it's best to save up and invest in the equiptment you will need to jazz up your foods. Otherwise, they will get bland. Now I have a question - why are you cooking veggies/which ones are you cooking? I am NOT saying NOT to cook them. I'm asking for reasons which will follow your response to this. Btw. I just really need to say - losing weight will not make you whole-heart-happy. There is more to the story. Are you in therapy?
Yeah, I'm probably going to buy some appliances in the future. I'm cooking them becasue I get bored with the taste of raw veggies.
Hmm..Just random veggies. Like, I put some sprouts in a pan and just cooked them in some olive oil and spices.
Yes, I understand losing weight will not make me happy, and I need confidence and self-esteem regarding to the way I look. But, I would like to lose some weight. I used to be in therapy, but not for lacking self-esteem. I think I told you that in another
I asked because I had a feeling it was due to flavor and not so much the raw/cooking factor. There are some things that just don't taste well raw, to me one of those thing is eggplant... Anyhow, as you learn more about this dietary lifestyle you will find raw ways to eat these cooked foods but if you like them cooked, dont deprive yourself. Whatever works for you is your best and that is what is good enough, not expectations or high standards.
Ps. You can make some really yummy raw nut butters. Sprouting legumes and grains is fun too. I'm adding that because the diet isn't just raw nuts, seeds, fruits and veggies. Some raw foodists eat raw bloody meat... some eat raw dairy...raw bee products, etc. You must transition slow, cravings are typical. Your "slip" was probably just your brain and body reacting to restriction of pb., don't beat yourself up. You can go with cravings for old cooked foods or work around them with raw versions
Also, the self esteem won't fully improve just by diet and exercise. It's going to require major mental work. Are you in therapy? If diet was the cure all, we'd all be confident, trust me. My best advice to you is to find what works for you and go with it and do not set up high standards for youself. Work on the mental stuff and if raw is for you then learn to balance your meals. The body needs fats, carbs and protein and those can be acheived in quality amounts when you are RAW, just know how
Commenting as I listen: According to the raw food gurus, the raw foodist label gets stuck on one when their diet consists of 75% to 100%raw food. I don't like living by standards. Not everyone can go fully raw but are still raw foodists. It's really a dietary lifestyle, meaning not just raw food but a belief system...for some it's spiritual as well. As for taste: food doesn't have to be bland. You must learn to season and combind foods for nutrition, balance AND flavor.
it is good to do the videos, they are theraputic :o)

Balance is the key. Not concentrated foods, oils, and jucies..whole food...variety...

You seem to be a very intelligent person. I enjoyed your video. You mention that you feel tired after a couple of days on raw food and you attribute this to lower calorie intake. Actually it's toxins ejected by the body causing you to feel tired. Try hemp protein supplement and juice. Keep going!!! You can do it!!!

Exit the whole diet drama. Get out of that psychological minefield.
Focus on ADDing foods in and have fun with it. Here are some superfoods to explore and have fun with:
goji berries, cacao (cacao + goji berries=awesome trail mix),maca, cherimoya, avocado, camu camu berry, acai, raw honey, bee pollen.
Realize: when you add the good stuff in (see above), the bad stuff falls away naturally.
duh378 3 years ago
Very true.
Yes, I have tried to get many raw "necessities" as in different types of food, but it's hard for me to get certain things.
I don't know any place near me that sells certain things, and when I tried ordering from a website, they never came.

I personally believe through research and experience that raw food(including animal food) is healthy, just not a strict raw VEGAN diet, especially if your still growing. And I personally like girls with a little curviness to them. Get a boyfriend that thinks your the bomb and your self esteem will go through the roof.

i don't think it's arrogant to make a video.

Thanks! :]

True.True.True.
I just never really thought about that I guess hah.
But, I don't really have a lot of things raw-foodists have in their kitchen.
Ex. A juicer etc.
I can still definatley make raw food that tastes good, but I should buy appliances to enhance Raw Foodism.
Yes, it is wonderful, I notice I'm less rundown than when I was eating regularly.
I happened to slip-up last night and have peanut butter.
Went right through me. I notice once your on a diet, you can't go back to regular

(con't) food so easily without it getting your stomach upset.

MyOwnStickFigure 3 years ago
Yeah, I'm probably going to buy some appliances in the future. I'm cooking them becasue I get bored with the taste of raw veggies.
Hmm..Just random veggies. Like, I put some sprouts in a pan and just cooked them in some olive oil and spices.
Yes, I understand losing weight will not make me happy, and I need confidence and self-esteem regarding to the way I look. But, I would like to lose some weight. I used to be in therapy, but not for lacking self-esteem. I think I told you that in another
JessicaGeraci 3 years ago
reply..I was taken out of it. Why do you ask?
JessicaGeraci 3 years ago
I asked because I had a feeling it was due to flavor and not so much the raw/cooking factor. There are some things that just don't taste well raw, to me one of those thing is eggplant... Anyhow, as you learn more about this dietary lifestyle you will find raw ways to eat these cooked foods but if you like them cooked, dont deprive yourself. Whatever works for you is your best and that is what is good enough, not expectations or high standards.
MyOwnStickFigure 3 years ago
MyOwnStickFigure 3 years ago
I do sometimes get upset over slips, but owell, it's a part of life. I'm going to try harder.

The body needs fats, carbs and protein and those can be acheived in quality amounts when you are RAW, just know how
MyOwnStickFigure 3 years ago
That's 100% true. I used to go to Therapy, but i'm not in it anymore.
Wasn't really put in for lacking self-esteem, but I do need confidence, when I have very little of it.
It's true; it's more mental.

MyOwnStickFigure 3 years ago
Oh, that's interesting to know not all raw foodists are 100% raw.
Yeah, sometimes I get kind of spiritual with it. Thinking about it in almost sort of a religious way.
