@joeytruelove not i haven't played this pedal, and didn't mean to sound like a smartass, sorry, actually i sent the London Fuzz back and got the Barber Trifecta, per GMD recommendation, very versatile pedal, everything i ever wanted in a fuzz!
@userboy6 Have you ever actually played the Cat in person? In Flame and the gain maxed this puts out more fuzz than anyone would ever need, really. Also its tonal spectrum is not really silicon or germanium so in that sense it's really its own entity.
sounds more overdrive than fuzz. I got a fulltone ocd and a wampler ectasy drive on my board. I'm looking into getting a fuzz pedal for my board. I don't think the catalyst will fit my need for fuzz tone. sounds like it has a sweet od. Any suggestions GMD or anyone else. Help is appreciated. Thank you!!
I've had one of these guys since August '09 and am just now (February '10) figuring out how to move it into and onto my sound / pedalboard. It does a great job with singlecoils. I'm playing a DGT with 57/08s and really learning that the pedal does very well with the humbuckers. Nice work, as always.
i have it, & so far it has worked well. it can fuzz up, & boost. i think it likes fender style amps the best. with my stuff, it punches the harder you pick
I A/B'd this pedal against an AnalogMan King of Tone4 and some other same types. Used my strats and PRS's with EL84 and EL34 amps into my cab with the great and amazing 12" Celestion Gold.
The Catalyst was crap in comparison and went back Guitar Center a few days later after the run thru's. The KoT4 costs ~$235 and takes 18 months to get...but if you can hold off...it blows this thing away in every way and in every environment. My opinion.
were,s the Fuzz it sounds like the OCD no more no less I can get the same sounds from my Mesa Stellitto and way more without even trying and no pedals
@bluesleadguitarist yes buuuut think about the tones you can get when you combine the amp and pedal :D:D ive got an OCD in front of my orange head, opens so many more tonal possibilities dude
i hate when they try to make bluesy fuzz pedals or Hendrix pedals they arnt even fuzzy, i like the superfuzzs and Bigmuff used all together at once, you know with powerchords
My girlfriend owns this and I used it as a substitute for my muff once when we were at a show and it performed really well. pretty close to the real thing.
Bad thing about Fulltone is their snobby business attitude. You will know if you ever have had a problem with one of their products. But as usual, GMD is great to do biz with!!! I bet he could retire in two months selling photos of himself!!

there's a dead armadillo on your pedal board! Must've came with the guitar. Us Texans are silly practical jokers.

this expensive box just...sucks! it has that hairy OCD tone, but nothing of good sustain or pushing-the-speaker force. Just a bad expensive gadget!

Not sure why anyone would slam your demo ... you make great demos ... and lots of them! Thanks much!

I thought it sounded more unique in the spark mode then the flame mode. Great video once again.

@tbnmusic It's not often you get to use the words girlfriend, muff, and thing on the internet and not offend anyone.

It sounds like a less greasy version of the Fire Red Fuzz, which is easily my favorite fuzz stomp as of right now...
