neither, after you beat title defense you unlock last stand (you fight random fighters until you lose three times) DK will show up in last stand, you don't even have to beat him for him to show up in exhibition mode, but make sure you don't lose three times until you've fought DK.

no, some of them have changed a good deal, Don Flamenco, Great Tiger, Bear Hugger, and Aran Ryan are all alot different. and Title Defense gives everyone new patterns, which makes it alot harder.

I'd rather have a streamlined roster in this version than the crap one in SPO. Characters like Narcis Prince, Hoy and Hoy Quarlow were beyond ridiculous. The Bruise Brothers sucked as final fighters -- made worse by the fact that the player was saddled with back-to-back pallette swaps. They lacked the charm of the NES version which had the perfect mix of arcade favorites and endearing originals. Nothing beats the NES Punch Out, but I'm more than confident that the Wii will be superior 2 SPO.

the wii version is really good. if I was a first-time player i'd be getting destroyed by these opponents. can't wait to get to title defense. Don Flamenco is alot harder in the wii version than he was in the NES version. So is Great Tiger, Bear Hugger, King Hippo, Piston Honda, and Popinski is pure hell to fight.

After playing more and opening up a few things I agree 100%. This version of punch-out is now my favorite. There is so much to do. I am only at the Piston Hondo Title Defense. I have not tried to fight him yet. Been trying to master everyone else. Glass Joe kicked the snot out of me because my timing stinks.

The Exhibition mode is freaking awesome. I thought I would only play this game for a week. Now I know I'll be stuck with it for life. lol

well don't let that get you, because Title defence which is unlocked after you beat Sandman, makes you face all the characters again, but they completely change their style, so Glass Joe for example wears a helmet, which means attacks to the head don't effect him, as such, many reviewers have been knocked out due to the shock of him actually being difficult. So essentially there are 26 characters, as their style completely changes in TD
