For anyone who's used the Apple Iphone 3 or 4, the Galaxy S2 exposes all the weaknesses commonly associated with the Apple counterpart. First and foremost, thie Samsung Galaxy's antenna is hypersensitive and provides a good signal whereby the iphone fails miserably, This important factor for some bizzare reason was not considered by Apple to be a main function of a phone! The touchscreen is much slicker, the lcd contrast and colour rendition is also in a different class. The iphone is over-hyped

@wafcar1 I can actually afford to switch to the iphone 4S on friday but I personally prefer the S2. The screen is larger so I can see stuff better and the on-screen keyboard is more spaced out so it's easier to type. That's just my personal preference though.

Android is a free, open source OS which any mobile company can use, which is why there being so successful right now. 50% of the mobile OS market is android. Symbian also beats iOS with a 16.9% share. iOS has a 15% share.

I have tried The galaxy s2 and apart from an awful overlay from samsung it was a great phone they would have been better off using stock android. Excellent phone, both the iPhone 4S and the Galaxy Nexus/S2 are brilliant in their own ways. The display has a lower resolution but feels richer and more alive than the retinal display on the iPhone.

However, concerns with Android (fragmentation, poor optimisation/stream-lining, security issues and an under-developed app store) mean that I'll be sticking with my iPhone for the moment.

The plastic back cover feels really nice when you are holding the phone. I also believe it was done on purpose to help make the phone stronger or something along those lines. All in all its 10x better than any phone I've ever had and watching/recording videos on it is utterly amazing.

I have the samsung galaxy S II and i must say its an AMAZING phone. What she didn't mention in this is that it has a tethering and portable hotspot which means you can give things like laptops, ipods and stuff like that wi-fi connection from your phone; providing you have internet connection yourself. It you was going to get this phone on contract then i would deffinately suggest getting unlimited internet. Also keep it in a case, if i broke mine i would freak shit. :)

Had all kinds of phones, by the end of a 1year contract, looked knacked. Cheap plastic housing, paint wearing away, becoming scratched, moving parts wearing out or loosing the stylus. Weekly, even daily reboots of the phone required either because it became unresponsive or to keep its OS running smoothly.
