  • Rob you do have to do what find what works for you. Don't under eat what so ever. Then what happens is your body goes into starvation mode. Eat frequently healthy foods. You can do it and are! You like visual stimpulation too ;). 

  • @Mansonwiki2 It doesn't slow it speeds the metabolism up which burn more calories and a great thing.

  • Hey Nicko :) My best advice is to see a dietician/nutritionist as they can give you the best advice for you. I wen to see one years ago and it taught me alot about being healthy, eating right, and exercising. Although I must get better at exercising how do you motivate yourself I need help?!

  • I have a piece of (wholegrain) toast (no butter) with baked beans (one of my fav hunger busters) .. and only 150cal, also great for when you get those late night muncheis too.

  • U also shouldnt drink too much liquid with ur meals. Either 20mins before or 30mins after. Because of which and where each nutrient/vitamin u r consuming is absorbed u r running the rik of "diluting" the good factors in ur food and missing some of the criucial absorbtion areas of the food before they pass through the body.

  • Also the water thing is a bit of a myth. U need to drink enough fluids to prevent dehydration. This means replacing the water that is lost each day in urine, sweat, breathing, and other bodily functions. Water losses are greater in warmer climates, during strenuous exercise, in high altitudes, and in older adults. However only half of ur fluid intake needs to be in plain water form, the rest can be in the form of juice, high water content fruits and veg, caffeine free teas.

  • Hey Nicko,

    DONT cut out your good oils, like flaxseed and extra virgin olive oil as oils are actually essential for proper body and brain function, and are essential for helping the body absorb vitamins A,D,E and K. You need about 2T of oil a day ie on ur salad rather than cooking with it.

  • You can do it Nicko. It is good to eat small portions every 2-3 hours. That helps alot with the hunger and you lose weight.

  • Nicko the advise I can give you is not have any gum. I noticed in your other video the other day you where chewing gum. For me this has the opposite effect and makes me hungry.

  • You can do it Nicko!  Eat simple protein every 3-4 hours and you won't get so hungry.

  • You know, mate, sex is the most aerobic exercise you can do. It's great for your cardio, you burn a great amount of calories and where you feel good after most exercises, you feel fantastic with sex. Now if only you can talk Jess into helping you shag your way to fitness.

My excersise was 4km a day eventually 7km a Day.If you are intersested I will give you My modifications that allowed me to graze a bit more.Your Doctor will of course need to monitor you.

  • Another thing you can do to help yourself out, is you can reward yourself for each time you stick with your diet plan or lose a certain amount of weight or something. For instance, say you stick to your diet plan for 3-4 weeks, for celebrating you could take yourself out to your favorite restaurant and reward yourself with a guilt-free meal and then prepare yourself throughout the day by eating light so when it comes time for dinner it makes it that much more worth it.. It helped me out a lot.

  • when I eat through the day i usually eat a lot of nuts, fruit, and just drink plenty of water. then I eat salads most of the time to avoid the fats. Also, I enjoy watching TV while I exersize. When I do that i can time it. I usually start at the beginning of a show, and when it goes off its usually been 30 minutes.

  • You doing great, but may I add, try eating whole grains instead of white/refined flour based foods because those promote belly fat. I.e try whole grain pancakes, brown rice, whole grain bread/tortillas. you could even make whole grain muffins/cookies in moderation.

  • The key to success for a diet is to slowly and gradually cut of sugars/oils/carbs ... but remember that you still need some sugar/oil and carbs to stay focused and energetic during the day ! I did it that way, and that is how I have gradually lost weight during 1 year, and the stabilisation was very easy in the end. Hope that help ! You're amazing because you are doing it for the right reasons !

  • Nicko there's a movie documentary called Fat Sick and Nearly Dead. It's about an aussie guy who fasted for 2 months on just juice he made in a juicer. He also ended up helping a heavier set man lose about 200 lbs in less than a year. Man it changed my life! He didnt eat any solid foods just juiced. It's an incredible film you should hunt it down! It's on netflix if you have the service. It will change your life as well man.

  • Starving yourself doesn't help you lose weight. All it does is kill your metabolism. Eat healthy portions of food and then fill up on fruits and vegetables.

  • hiya nicko try this 250g for breakfast. 2 hours later a piece of fruit. lunch 250g. 2 hours later a piece of fruit. dinner 500g. supper a piece of fruit. just make sure you eat the right food and as for exercise dont try to beat your self just do what you can when you can at least 15 mins 3 times a day

  • I read in a book once, that between meals, if you are hungry, try drinking water, as apparently the first signs of thirst feel like hunger pains. So try drinking water if you start feeling hungry and see if that helps and cravings

  • no worries Nicko, men drop weight easier than women. I need to drop some tonage maybe I should be getting off my lazy bum. Good idea on the eating, I actually lost a lot of weight last year and then gained it all back when I stopped exercising and that is what I did and drank only water.

  • the first 3 days are always to worst eat fruit thats what i eat if u snack on fruit and water it fills u up the first week is always hard i found it easy this time first week but yh its not easy

  • Nicko.... the best way to keep hunger off is to have some sort of healthy snacks when your hungry. Things that makes you feel like you are eating and they are healthy aswell. Like carrots, bread stick and things like that. Things you have to chew and that gives you a feeling like you ate a lot.

  • Have you sought out professional advice on diet with exercise? Do that.

  • awesome stuff nicko seriously after awhile you'll be craving workouts and those endorphins kicks and get cranky when you dont workout haha just dont take it to hard and let your body adjust to the change also try not to diet just make small adjustments to your normal habits and when you get used to that make more subtle changes and continue FOREVER DUN DUN DUN!!!

  • @Mansonwiki2 i think you mean it speeds up your metabolism... a slow metabolism makes it harder to lose weight. also the water thing is a myth. look it up.

  • oh and nicko. thay say having sex can burn off upto 200 calories

    so that gives you a perfect excuse ^_~ enjoy.... :)

  • @MissyNizzy Well you don't want to slow your metabolism, especially if you're trying to lose weight. The idea is to speed up your metabolism, thats why doing your excercise first thing in the morning ( before meals) is better. It speeds up your metabolism for the day.

    More meals but smaller portions are generally the best option though.

  • I truly believe....that if you have someone going through the wieght loss journey with you and you have someone to compete with, you will have a way better outcome than doing it alone. Its the competitive motivational thingy that will drive you all the way thru ur journy, its great that jess is on the bikes and stuff. it might be hard at first but if u keep trying one day you'll beat Jess, and u can run around the house screaming. I WIN! physically and mentally, get my gist?
