if your a death metal band you would want to play to 500+ per show with a tiny crew and on one coast to get the most out of the money. Its mostly about the love of the music. Man you get paid a few hundred per few shows but its the experience.

Of course if your a 'famous' DM band like cannibal corpse etc you will prolly get 10g's+ per show cuz there bringin in thousands.
