  • good!

  • 15:50min gabe owen had ball in hand was on the one had an easy combination to pocket the 9ball and didnt do it..wat a goose!! especially against reyes

  • @TheBigkizz Ummm that woulda been a damn hard shot. A very low percentage shot. it would have been stupid to try that combination especially against reyes.

  • @TheBigkizz oi with the 3and 7 together its a lower percentage rack overall..plus if u take a chance in pool and make it ur luck gets more an more..ALSO they are professionals and that shot they wuld get in 50-70% of the time..so on both of ur arguments u loose get a life ur probably a boring snooker player

  • Show us all racks :(

  • owen looks like fedor

  • secondly for the person who said people from the 60s through 80s could run rings around efren, NOBODY can run RINGS around efren, beat him yes but never and embarassment, not to mention efren is actually

extremely good at 3 cushion, there are youtube videos for that, watch him....

  • hummm....for the moron who said strickland isnt the greatest... he has won the US open 5 times...NOBODY else has done that....aaaaaaand hes NOT the greatest 9 ball player???? wow, know youre facts before you start some stupid 10 yr old rant on how strickland hasnt earned his badges....moron

  • @mikeywikeylikey LOL agreed, its easy to sit and rant out of pure jealousy. Earls the man. period! uinrivaled!

  • I don't know if I would place efren as the greatest player of all time. But one title I would give him is the greatest all around billiard player because of his cue ball control. It's a totally different game, but in the game of 3 cushion, some of the champions of the 40's 50's and 60's could run rings around Efren. But in pockets, there are very few better. The only way to beat him is to be on your sharpest game. Very excellent player and one of my idols

  • Question: why doesnt efren finish the last (9) ball? to win the match?

  • @onehundredand37 When you're opponent sets up nicely for the last ball of the match it's considered courteous to "give them the ball" or not make them shoot it.

  • lol at gabe @ 15:07 wiping d que ball. he was lyk, who knows if efren has some tricks by holding it.

  • I understand that giving the last ball to your opponent rather than making them shoot it is supposed to be a nice gesture, but I don't like it. You're stealing part of the credit for their victory, even though you only do it at the point when there's no chance your opponent will miss. Plus you have to interrupt them when they're down on the shot, and make a big spectacle about giving them the win, not to mention depriving them of the satisfaction of finishing the rack. Am I nuts?

  • Yeah, Reyes was great, as usual. But you can't deny that Owen played pool at about the highest possible level. It's weird he isn't doing so much lately; this match made him look like a potential champion.

  • can u find any videos of jesse bowman or jamie bowman i cant find any of them

  • Always apreciate your top quality videos. Nothing comes close. Keep up the good work.

Just wondering, if you already have the 2010 videos up. Have seen other sources, but quality of video and narration there is just not comparable.

  • so from what i gather, you want an angle for an angle

  • @magikman38 for position on next balls, through rails and other stuff

  • @socramzilos haha i know i was being sarcastic. Danny says that or something else to that effect about 10 times per match and its just funny how annoying he is at times

  • you guys are crazy Danny Diliberto is the greatest! he knowledgeable when it comes to shot making and the history of the players and he's pretty darn funny

  • Good match.

  • correcting myself: cue ball and the nine

  • your aloud a push off the break 007

  • I'm talking about that brake, when 1 and 9 stuck together in the far left corner, and after a push out, danny gets really annoyed, because he thinksit's a foul, but as i said, you cannot foul on a push out, because it is a foul in itself. Believe me, i know my way around the table. It was just an innocent comment

  • a push is a foul in itself mr dilliberto:)

  • @fort007 no its not.

  • gabes game has gone thru the roof since this match

  • it was fall there, it was not fair

  • Yeah Danny and this other guy can be nauseating to listen to. That other guy is pretty fucking stupid though. He doesn't know pool that well.

  • and you're a fuckin asshole

  • you could find out how old he really is by goin a round with him in the ring. go ahead give it a shot.

  • lol why so I can runout on a 95 year old man? get real even willie mosconi started to lose stroke in his older years... I'm 22 and in stroke it's not a matter of skill he is just too old and he always second guesses the players... lol yeh id second guess gabe owen or reyes.. what do they know eh... us open champions.. no big deal.

  • no i meant the boxing ring. if he's so old. you will be running for the door if you get out before you get knocked out.

  • lol yeh... or id punch him one time and go to prison for murder..

  • Comment removed

  • to 9ballrd: i think danny is not bad, a funny old man he is.

  • 13:33

foul... why can he do that!?

  • not a foul when the balls are frozen. when the are frozen, they act like one ball so you can push through. not the same if they are not touching.

  • god danny is too old and blind. he and billy both never shut up

  • I feel the same way....has no freaking idea

  • i wouldnt care if the guy shakes hand, still would plot the 9 ball in the end. Or at least miss it on purpose lol that'd be jokes.

  • the commentators are jerry forsythe and danny deliberto

  • normaly efren plays better

  • well, mito, its fine that you like dannydee -but that guy that never shuts up is billy incardona, not danny d!

  • nah its danny, billy isn't commentating this match. but he certainly can ramble a little much as well

  • no noob, this is danny d here, i know the commentators, billy and danny have totally diferent voices

  • boy, i like danny diliberto, but notice how many times he said that thing about position, "thats great position when all you got to do is make the ball and youre on the next one". he said that at least 4 times during this match

  • efren reyes uses cues made of bamboo.

  • Can someone explain why Gabe doesn't go for a combo using the one ball to hit the nine ball in after Efren's scratch at the 15:00 mark? It doesn't look like an extremely difficult shot, especially for guys like them...

  • Because with no tied up balls the run-out is actually a higher percentage play. No doubt Gabe would be likely to make the combo if he chose to, which he might have if there were tied up balls preventing an easy run-out. But pro's don't take ANY unneccessary chances 'cause mistakes are so costly at that level.

  • Professionalism

  • Cue is made of bamboo!

  • what a cue efren use?

  • judd

  • you love his stick and want to know his size shaft.. you are a very perverted younglady highgradeeveryday.. mwuahahahaaaaaaaa... forgive me, couldn't resist writing this..

    hey,

Efren is a great player, peace!

  • i luv efren's stick !! What size shaft is that ?

  • HAHAHAHa

    24:52

"6-4 favour of the magician efren reyes from the philipines"

    "uhhh... no. 7-5"

  • reyes baby!

  • I love these videos, but good God, the commentators are annoying!!

  • yeah, one of them sounds senile too.

  • Yeahh, probably is...

  • @CalebChrisMabry

    Be thankful it ain't Incardona.

  • great match. like to see them like this 2 great players.but Efren is my fav.

  • Efren is my favorite as well. One thing about his game that really stands out to me (maybe no one else has noticed) but even on easy shots and even simple 9 ball shots, he still takes his time, lines up and makes great shots. Lots of players will just aim at the 9 and fire when it's an easy shot. These guys usually make it but Efren is just so intentional about every shot. Great game...

  • how they get a vid of 49 mins on here?, i cant get over 9 mins

  • It's an official pool channel....

  • and?

  • YouTube provides a license to producers to upload videos this size.

  • oh ok thank you

  • Snooker is for the players that think the ''buckets of pockets'' in pool are to large

  • this is an amazing game with good players

  • snooker is for people that cant play pool

straight pool and one pocket is pool you gotta be a surgeon.

  • It's like comparing a hockey goal to a soccer goal... or pingpong balls to tennis balls...

  • earl strickland resembles ben stiller's character in "dodgeball"..

  • haha which one is earl?

  • Do you really think Efren safeties, kicks, banks is lucky? I don't think so, he went for it, he calculated it, he played three cushion so he knows every systems. IMHO maybe Efren got a little lucky but not a pure luck, he went for it and well calculated it. That's why he is the magician!!

  • Right,chichang79,your correct,I know this guys calculating every shot in his brilliant pool mind, but you got to admit that he gets the roll, when it really matters the most,In all my years watching efren,Ive only seen him really choke the leave on one shot, costing him the match to corey deuel, and it was a very easy shot/leave,im not saying hes not awesome,he is the magician, but damn, how can anyone get the benefit of the doubt that often?I bet he picks winners when he bets on sports.

  • That's life =)

  • is dat really how commentator act?dey r making viewers so stupid when in fact we know wat they're going to do..these old folks are ridiculous..

  • he reminds me of an owl lol

  • strickland is a great player, but not the greatest! he should be working in a call center because his mouth can't be stopped.. wahahahaha! even strickland's fellow american idolize efren.. are you even thinking people?? efren's the greatest player of all time.. and strickland is the most amazing imitator of a parrot!

  • tony annigoni is the worst commentator of all time. shut the f up, we know whats going on in the match ahahahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • Chalk-off is the greatest name for a product ever.

  • Efren is the best ever, he's owned Earl many times. Efren's kicking and saftey game is simply on another level. You can't play chess with this guy, you start playing safeties with efren and ur done, gg.

  • ohh YES!!... someone that agrees with me about Earl Strickland lol.

  • yeah true...efren reyes isn't undefeatable though. Earl Strickland beat him on one of the other videos on here...watch the video thats labelled Strickland vs. Reyes and you'll see Efren get beat. soz if i spoilt it for anyone lol

  • Thanks for spoiling the suspense of the match dude. ROFL!!

  • Efrens not just a good 9 ball player.. theres also. one pocket, 8 ball.. three cushion billiards..

  • haha i dont care i think that ball in hand

  • response to 13.00 cue. I've see him use a few different cue's in matches I have watched him play and I can tell you he is not using a 13.00 dollar que. Maybe1300.00 if you google efren reyes I saw one website that displayed his playing que, I don't know the maker but it was pretty nice, I'm sure he gets tons of free ones from quemakers all over.

  • Good to watch. Efren is a great all around player. I'd rather watch him play 8 than 9 ball. You really get to see him pull out some more delicate shots and some good breakouts. A great 1 pocket and straight pool player as well. He is also close to a world class Billiard player. I've heard he can more than hold his own in snooker as well. If you're hitting balls on a table with a stick Efren can do it.

Pool is unique in that there are so many truly great players around the world.

  • efren reyes my favorite someone says he plays with a $13.00 cue I do not believe this if someone knows different let me know thanks

  • my friend a cue like the one reyes is playing with different inlays and the irish grip in the butt could not cost 13 dollars..If you wont search the web for prices...starting at 120e and ending at 3000e

  • Are u serious? How could you hate such a fluid and effortless stroke...u must be joking or just hating.

  • it sucks doesn't it? but someone has to pay the bills

  • fucking advertisment between frames

  • these guys are f*ckin good

  • gabe owen, great great player

  • Definitely. The guy was shooting lights out.

  • GO EFREN! Pinoy pride!

  • efren you rock!

  • when efren comes to my pool hall (Hardtimes Bellflower), i stop playing to sit & observe THE master in action! I really like to watch him practicing Rotation or one pocket. He's the best at both & will bet on him against all competitors, any day.

  • where is hardtimes bellflower? id love to see efren play

  • In CA

  • i prefer master rather than silver cup, it stick better to the tip and give better english

  • sry my mstake gabe is using masters but still notice efren

  • you notice efren and gabe chalk their cues alot because thay are using silver cup calk

  • Efren and Earl played each other in Hong Kong about 12 or 13 years ago in a race to 120 and Earl had a 17 rack lead going into the final day in 9-ball and lost because he couldnt keep his cool so in my opinion Efren is the best 9-ball player and over all player for that matter ( i would have loved to see Wimpy and Efren play each other in 9 ball )

  • Me too. Luther "Wimpy" Lassiter was regarded for many years as the greatest nine ball player to ever hold a cue.

  • thats what you call hard work to be the best!

  • my god... efren can really pull a rabbit off his hat.. MABUHAY PILIPINAS!!!

  • efren is the best player...

  • I had to watch this again man

  • :)))) could he play the russina billiards so well????

  • Even Earl Strickland admits that Efren is the best all around player ever. Earl is the best 9ball player, Efren is the best all- around.

  • Earl is a fantastic player and my favorite player but do you really think he is the best 9ball player? I heard that Efren ran 20+ racks in practice. Thats gotta to a world record. Thats even more impressive that the homerun record if you ask me.

  • It's actually quite unfortunate that people in North America and elsewhere weren't able to see Efren play when he was in his absolute prime. I'd love to see rare video of him before he made it big internationally.

  • that's the magic of efren....thats why his the magician

  • best world stroke, a solid stroke and unique one is Earl strickland, it never struggle, always SOLID.

  • this was a good match-up, Gabe can hold his own, but man Efren has mind control over the Que ball

  • why do you hate efren's stroke?

  • efren reyes... the one and only god of pool!!!

  • 5 thumbs up!..i mean 2

    hahaaa

  • NICE<<<
