What is that soldier thinking going prone in an open area like that? If they would have gone prone behind a bush or just genrally taken cover behind objects or shoot from corners of buildings it would have felt more realistic. But more times than not, and especially in close quarters combat, enemies are out in the open

don't believe the hype this game is truly terrible , The AI is stupid, Vehicle physics are broken and lets not talk about the lack of dedicated servers.( and whats with the thermal scope, I've used some thermal scopes and they sure don't work as the one in the game, It marks your enemies more or less instead of giving you a picture of IR rays)

It isn't, i have it, and i haven't been able to get it to run, it is about 7fps while looking horizontally, and i have a good computer. Any goodness the game might have has been ruined for me i'm afraid. Their tech support forums are a joke.
Nah turned out it was some issue with windows or something, got it to run fine, it's alright i guess, could be a lot better. No choppers in single player, and multiplayer is a bit of a joke. Getting a new HD 5870 in a couple of days though, so it'll be eye-candy galore :)

I recommend getting it from Play [dot] com, extremely cheap and fast free shipping. Just remember, this is a console port, it's practically copied and pasted from the xbox to the PC, so the controls are incredibly clumsy. AI is pretty good though, and it is a very pretty game, and fast too.

What is really annoying is people are comparing this to MW2, they are both different genres. Its like comparing a turn based strategy game to a real time strategy game, it wouldnt make sense. MW2 is an arcade FPS, while this is a simulation FPS. Just like PGR4 is an arcade racer, while Gran Turismo is a simulation racer. They are both completely different.
this is no where near the level of simulation that ArmA provides , for example, so calling it a bonafide simulation is retarded. The production values on this are not up to par with modern games. the ideas are there, but where it pales in comparison to MW2 is its cinematic fail. And they Are trying to be cinematic. They said so in the other trailer. Plus thats what MW2 is - a cinematic FPS, not really an arcade FPS.

Well yes, but If you think Arma or FP is borring to you, you should play painkiller, Halo or other action games. Strategy and Command like in real battle action is one of the goals. i`ve read that there is one campain in wich you play a normal marine and another one parralel to the main campaing in wich you play a specops guy in infilitration missions
but now i´ve read the there 11 missions in the whole game splitted on both campaings so i dont know whats real and what not :(

Love ArmA, Love OFP have all 3 but this ones gonna blow ArmA 2 out of the water. Mostly due to its superiority in physics and gameplay. I hope the AI is better in this than the previous games. World at War only lets you use tanks in multi-player. That's hardly worth mentioning, since this game is probably going to be the most realistic shooter on the Xbox 360. I can't imagine Gears of War or Call of Duty even attempting to beat this.

I have to disagree with you. Nobody can judge OF2 yet so all the content you say it have might be true. When it comes to MW1 and 2, you decide if you wanna teamwork or not. Depending on the player you are, you get different views on the games. For me, MW1 is the best Teamwork/Multiplayer game so far.

I can cause its my opinion and it's mostly with games being realistic, something called Crysis had it kind of, people all excited, people all dissappointed. It keeps happening to alot of titles.
Oh, OK. That makes sense. Although me personally, I loved Crysis. Most people argue about how idiotic the A.I is, but it's not, it's very impressive. And how useless the abilities are because of their limitations, but they aren't. Yeah, they don't last for very long, but that's why you have to use your brain. Personally, I can't imagine Crysis being any fun, or at least challenging, if the abilities lasted much longer.
I also loved Crysis especially great fun with sandbox but tell all the other people who failed at having fun and are too bitchy about every singly thing in a game... But still this game isnt most likely that realistic as they say now, but lets just wait for a demo/beta or till its released.
agreed. crysis is a shitload of fun if you got the rig. at first i couldnt run it, so i bought a graphics card upgrade for about $200 (made me go :'( as i gave the cashier my money). i do also hope this wont be like that, that low settings will be nice for people not used to upgrading. it will get real nice points if its easy to run .

World at War only lets you use tanks in multi-player. That's hardly worth mentioning, since this game is probably going to be the most realistic shooter on the Xbox 360. I can't imagine Gears of War or Call of Duty even attempting to beat this.

I wasn't sure about this game first with the early trailers it seemed like it was a dumbed down version of the original game
But it seems like they might of got it spot on with the more later footage I might buy this game =-P

I have to disagree with you. Nobody can judge OF2 yet so all the content you say it have might be true. When it comes to MW1 and 2, you decide if you wanna teamwork or not. Depending on the player you are, you get different views on the games. For me, MW1 is the best Teamwork/Multiplayer game so far.

Wow "For me, MW1 is the best Teamwork/Multiplayer game so far".I don't know why you would feel that way considering it is far from this.You want teamwork then play rsv or battlefield,if you want superior gameplay then play battlefield but for you to think average close combat gameplay mixed in with perks,customization is the best multiplayer game then your missing out.Play the old cods if you want a game that takes skill but cod4/waw were made for people who suck at multiplayer games.

I can cause its my opinion and it's mostly with games being realistic, something called Crysis had it kind of, people all excited, people all dissappointed. It keeps happening to alot of titles.

Oh, OK. That makes sense. Although me personally, I loved Crysis. Most people argue about how idiotic the A.I is, but it's not, it's very impressive. And how useless the abilities are because of their limitations, but they aren't. Yeah, they don't last for very long, but that's why you have to use your brain. Personally, I can't imagine Crysis being any fun, or at least challenging, if the abilities lasted much longer.

I also loved Crysis especially great fun with sandbox but tell all the other people who failed at having fun and are too bitchy about every singly thing in a game... But still this game isnt most likely that realistic as they say now, but lets just wait for a demo/beta or till its released.

i think crysis didn't do so well in sales because most computer gamers don't have the rigs to support it on full settings, i hope this is different.

agreed. crysis is a shitload of fun if you got the rig. at first i couldnt run it, so i bought a graphics card upgrade for about $200 (made me go :'( as i gave the cashier my money). i do also hope this wont be like that, that low settings will be nice for people not used to upgrading. it will get real nice points if its easy to run .
