Is this about the perceived repression of women in Islam? In the beginning, the movements were more confined and rigid, but eventually each girl takes off the headscarf and moves in a freer, more individual manner, painting the picture/themselves. At the end, they make the same moves as the start, which implies they can still retain their culture without the "repression" of before. Just an interpretation. Everyone should remember that a woman is only repressed if she herself feels repressed.

You should watch this with the music "Us" by Regina Spektor. I think that's the song because it goes fairly well. This is fantastic. So amazing.. and they are so talented. I love Kate Jablonski's stuff :)

Miss Jablonski's dancers are always in great shape and form and her pieces are always so captivating and interesting. the lack of sound doesn't spoil this at all (though I would have loved to hear the song they used, no?)

if you want to see it with the music put on "us" by regina spektor and start it when the video is about five minutes in. make sure it's the long version though!! the long lasts for about 4 min 50 seconds.
