Good on you Rod for making it clear who wrote the song and suggesting that someone else might like to have a go at it. You see, these rock superstars aren't ALL arseholes. Great song, great rendition
he mentioned Tim Hardin?!?!?! Tim Hardin, was supposed to be the opening act Friday afternoon at Woodstock69, but Richie Havens stepped in as opener, and Tim went on later, I've read...
There have been better singers in rock and roll. But nobody sings a rock and roll song better than Rod Stewart. Even if this isn't the best of recordings.
And only Rod could find a woman who plays such wonderful violin and still looks like the kind of woman Rod Stewart could go for.
Tomcat625u //. The little violin player is J'Anna Jacoby, a California girl that's as sharp as they come in looks and the music department. And yeah, Rod did ok too. Lol
"get yerself familiar"....Rod, you rule as did Tim Hardin for writing this gorgeous masterpiece wit which Bobby Darin will break your heart. thank u xoxo
@DigitalGrotto I agree it is overmodulated as you say. The problem is there is a high possibility that the video would be taken down. If you would like you can always download the media and do the fix.
The best concerts always have the audiences that know every word to every song and sing it along with the band. PRICELESS !!! I LOVE IT !!! Rod's music will live forever.
Why do modern concert producers feel the need to completely neuter the experience with nauseating jump-cuts and fawning crowd shots? I do not want to see the crowd; they are ugly, annoying, and unpleasant. I know there is an audience -- why show them?
Lovely vibe in the concert hall for this one. Rod is so relaxed.......and seems like every fan knows the lyrics. Touching to think that writer Tim Hardin died 30 years ago of a heroin OD.
@mobydoug Yes it is I love Rod's songs. Their's not one that I don't like. I was really shocked that morning. When the News announced that Tim Hardin had died. So very sad.

It'd be nice if someone could re-upload it while watching the levels or fixing the compression. It's really UNlistenable :(
