  • GRUNGE ?

  • just got the new mascis album, several shades of why, and was remended how great he is. i saw dinosaur jr live in 1988 in leeds, with rapeman and band of susans, and was kicked almost unconscious by lou barlow when i tried to take a picture of the band.

  • @jonnyjaywick Shit, really? Did he kick you by accident?

  • Bug reminds me of dropping the first girlfriend....beautiful!

  • stunning

  • love how j says "hey babe" in sum of the songs he wrote

  • It's messy, gritty, soulful, and ill-conceived. Classic Dinosaur Jr, simply amazing.

  • whip out your tits

  • best song on youtube

  • saw them in lollapalooza in 1993 hmmm or was it in 1994 can't remeber was fucked up both times lmao great song

  • Gives Abyss of Depression & Hopeless a new meaning definitely a sad song Love man it sucks

  • Man, do I ever miss good music.

Have seen Dino Jr. in concert 4 times over the years. I will never miss them when they come to the ATL. They may put on the loudest show I've ever seen. j.'s guitar work always leaves you with that satisfying ringing in the ears.

  • I listened to them just 2 minutes ago.

    Best band ever

  • obviously some good weed going around in the late 80's

  • epic

  • what year is this from?

  • This is so nasty and nice...so dirty, yet so pure...

  • Everytime i hear this song, i think of the band struggling internally, yet managing to make amazing songs like this.

  • this song and almost every other song from Bug is on Santa Cruz's Speed Freaks. Good skateboardvid from 1989. check it out. It's rad!

  • @vansbrand "like...... totally bitchin' dude!"

  • @vansbrand and Rob Dyrdrek's part in ... fuck what video was it where he skated to the Wagon. Man i'd rewind that for hours on end back in the day. I think it was the Alien Workshop video from 91 or so.... name escapes me.

  • @superbnerb

Dyrdek skated to the Wagon waaaaay back in an old G&S video called "Footage" (pre-Alien Workshop!). Dude was only fifteen back then!

  • @streckenplan old to some feels like yesterday to me man. lol, but i guess I'm old now. Not J old, but still... :-) thanks.

  • @streckenplan Vallely skated to freak scene, neil blender to let it ride, todd swwank to the post, in santa cruz speed freaks, and I believe there is a dino track in video days also :)

  • @videojudge - its from Bug

  • Know whats another good band that sounds a bit similar to Dinosaur Jr, Violent Femmes (i think its spelled like that)

  • @attackoftehafros not even in the same fucking hemisphere dude. I like the femmes too, but there is really no apt comparison.

  • man, glad to find this tune. i enjoy it. i guess this is non-album? cuz i can't find it in any of their discographies

  • Pretty sure it's on one of their albums. I think Bug?

  • @Jools1988 Yup... Bug

  • Every time I listen to this song or another one by them. I always get like nostalgic memories from the past -.-

  • @attackoftehafros story of my life ........ such a love/hate thing

  • does anyone out there know if the title of this song is a reference to 'this is spinal tap' when nigel tufnel is talking about the fish he likes, and says he likes american canned tuna - "no bones!"

  • @thistlypram probably not

  • i think everyone is right, and this song RIPS!!!

  • one of the best off bug. let it ride is my personal favorite. just got my dino dunks! :D

  • Am I wrong, or are there absolutely no tabs for this one on the internet?

  • @myfaceisgreat The most of the tabs of dinosaur jr are bad or they dont exist.

  • CHINGEN A SU MADRE

  • "Bug" Is good, but "You're living all over me", is the peak

  • Completely wrong man. DINOSAUR JR. had no peak. He has always rocked, and he's still rockin. I'm sure you've seen his newest video out a few months ago called, "Over It." It's nothing but goodness.

  • Dude, I live them always have since I found them since1988, all of their stuff was a decent level, just those two they really hit their stride (IMO)

  • @lynus111 as much i like all of dinosaur jr's stuff, i think their creative peak was "you're living all over me"

  • I agree.

  • I resent how you say 'he' instead of 'them'. Dinosaur were and always will be J, Lou & Murph.

  • @AdamskiFTW OK Adam, sorry to offend you. Nice name by the way.

  • Timeless !!!

  • fan since 92' and 93' will do. Made up for those early albums. greatest ever. pass it on to the young ones. Dinosaur puts out the goods. fast, slow, whatever. Mood setting great rock n roll. Memories

  • This song is so meaningful to me. been a fan of Dinosaur jr since 1993 or something

  • i've liked em since i heard freak scene on 1991: the year punk broke

  • geetar player played on gg allins hated in the nation album

  • Who did? J mascis?!?

  • sure, it's absolutely phantastic. but who's the girl?

  • dinosaur, heroes

  • my most favourite song from dino is little fury things and No Bones...best band i ever listened...

  • Dinosaur Jr= Awesomeness!

  • The most beautiful expression of utter despair. Fucking devastating. I love this song.

  • What does this song mean to you?

  • didnt know lou played a ric back then, nice

  • my favorite song by them is crumble

  • Thumb, Get me, and In a Jar

  • thanks for all the responses guys i can't believe i had never noticed how good dinosaur jr are until now : )

  • I love this song

  • I miss the 80's.

  • Hi, I've recently been getting into Dinonsaur Jr, what would you guys say their best songs are? Thx

  • Well there best album is your living all over me. It is total class.

  • there = their

    your = you're

  • The Wagon, Feel the Pain, Almost Ready are my top three

  • For me :

their best album : Green Mind

their best songs : Th Wagon, Freak Scene, Feel The Pain,

but there's so much others great songs. You can look at the tracklist of their "best of" which is very well done.

  • i find the song lightning bubl off of beyond to be a really really underrated track.

but the best album to get is you're living all over me.

    :)

  • what if i knew...is the best song by them...

  • feel the pain, no bones , freak scene

  • they are simply great in every album buy all!!one of graetest band ever,,,

  • 2:43 - the greatest moment in Dinosaur Jr's discography

  • Totally Agreed. I get goose bumps everytime I hear this part and song.

  • mascis is the saviour of guitar rock

  • never heard this song of dinosaur jr!

  • one of my faves. the explosion of guitar vomit that he blasts halfway through the siong, live and loud is so fucking GREAT

  • welcome to dino jr vids zoo. lol COMMENT WARS

  • hmm.... the singers voice seems... intersting O.o

  • Dinosaur is guitar guitar guitar..J is first to admit he wasn't too thrilled to be the singer.

  • you suck..and i think everyone here would agree. Mascis could kick your ass.

  • its a sloth-like long haired guitar player. I can speak from experience, he could kick your ass with the sheer volume of his guitar.

  • judging by the comments on your profile you're probably a troll

    however, this is good

come back when you have as many people that acknowledge you

  • yes I did, and apparently at least one person agrees with me

look how many people disagree with you

  • fuckin queer,dinosaur jr rules!

  • wow, I didn't know that there was a video for this song. They're so awesome. If you get a chance to see them, go and do so. They're very powerful and uplifting live.

Which is funny. 20 years ago when this record was new, it was sort of noisy and detached, and now is seems beautiful and uplifting by comparison to the other stuff that's out there.

  • breathtaking solo. definitely one of the best songs off bug. Can't figure out the time signature though. Seems to be a mixture of 3/4 and 2/4.

  • I'm pretty sure it's just 3/4. Count it like: 1 and 2 and 3 AND 1 and 2 and 3 AND. With extra emphasis on the last and. I think that works out. Tha's all I can figure out.

  • one of the most talented bands ever. J's a great song writer and killer guitarist. Saw em last fall on their reunion tour - still amazing.

  • this is my favorite off of bug. bug is my all time fave of dinosaur

  • this is one of there best songs; they were grunge before there was grunge

  • such a beautiful song.

  • Good for you

  • mmm spam

  • Awesome

  • why dont a lot of people know of Dinosaur Jr these guys are amazing there more talented then fuckin nirvana there way underrated. Every song they do is great

  • what kind of comparison is that?

  • People love Nirvana its bullshit Dinosaur Jr has a lot more talent and better musicians. I think they are on the same level as Alice in Chains and Nirvana is no better then Green River or Temple of the dog

  • dude, i hope you're not saying dino jr is on the same level as alice in chains because dino jr are waaaaaaaaaaaaay better than that average band.

  • They are on the same level as Alice in chains whats wrong with that? Alice in chains is awesome

  • dude...AIC is amazing.

  • You are talking about a bunch of totally different bands there...i dont theres a comparison really...they are all great!

  • Music will never be like this again.

  • i agree, its not like it used to be.

  • the music now is terrible,

i wouldnt even classify it as music..

    i love dinosaur jr though

  • something beautiful about this, puts a lump in my throat and puts me in touch with long surpressed pain inside.

  • great great band.................

  • God, I love this disc.Reminds me of high school :(

  • mbv'ish, this one

    yeah, i said it

  • But made in 1988.

  • Dino jr is so great!

  • ed è troppo na sborata

  • i think the same things of wiwfir.... just the same! * O *

♥ what that makes me feel this band is pure love!! ♥

  • simply amazing

  • the original dino jr lineup is one of the most perfect bands ever. lou and murph are such a tight rhythm section and j on top of it is just fucking brilliant

  • Best of Bug- 1/Post, 2/ No Bones, 3/ Budge, in order of greatness (at least this week), but this changes every few years since 1988. J is a genius and master of slackness.

  • Mines close to your's : 1- Don't 2- No Bones 3- Post.

  • the entire album is pretty well flawless

  • piplinekilltime, i feel the same way! j rules.

  • bug is a nice album but "you're living all over me" is awesome...one of those album who change life. poetry in feedback.

  • GET OFF J'S D

  • This has to be on my top 3 for Bug.

    Ugh

    <3

  • Awesome

  • j is the shizz

  • dinosaur jr. changed my whole musical taste when ı was 14. Thnx j. mascis. Thnx for showing me the right direction.

  • Your username... is it from the Sonic Youth song of the same name? [I love that song and that band]

  • yes yes yes

  • only fucking awsome

  • heartbreaking song.

no wondre I was depressed back in 89

    gorgeous though.

  • why IS good music the music that makes you depressed? I've thougth about that...

  • 100000000000000000 thanks for uploading this man.

    Huge sound

    please dont stop

  • Oh man this brings memories of the times I was 16 or sometin. The new album holds some pearls I gotta admit but I also love the old stuff.

  • i'd like to thank everyone of you who comment on this. i didn't post this or anything, but it makes me feel good that there are others that are interested in shit other than bullshit like the top fucking 40 songs everyone else seems to love(until the next wave of shit comes anyway). old song, new listener = word of mouth works. fuck MTV aka empty v.

  • Exactly! I'm all the way back to that time as well when I was 16-18. I need to listen to Bug every spring because of that.

I lost the album once and now I really have to go out and get it right now.

No Bones has always been my favorite track.

It's so powerful and sooo beautiful and oh so sad ;-)

  • I was posting as a reply to your WegrennerX's post. For some reason I cannot reply.

Peace and noisy bliss to all

    (listen again!)

  • funny I was just telling my girlfriend about how I see myself as a 16 yrs old on some coach out of town going to some party listening to this in my walkman..I feel tenderness for that kid of a few years ago.

  • Had a bunch to say but noone98 summed it up so damn well. Saw them last night (5/12/07) at the Troubadour and they were incredible...no surprise.

  • Wish they coming somewhere even remotely close to me so I could catch them. Did they play most of the new album?

  • It's a crime that Dinosaur Jr and especially J. Mascis never received the recognition and financial rewards they deserved. Of all the bands that came out of this era, they had, by far, the most talent. J continues to write great tunes and is one of the most inventive guitarists around.

  • Only group I've ever seen in concert more than once.

  • Dinosaur Jr. fucking rule. Bug's like the best album ever.

  • THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU never ever seen this thank you my fave dinosaur jr song oh god the no bones the noise skronk oh thank you

  • damn damn damn!!

  • What a vid!!!

  • "Vocals suck. Guitars rule." - j. Mascis

  • Everything rules! It's a dream.

  • one the greatest statements ever for sure

  • this is ........

    AWESOM3.

  • OMG! Just typed in Dinosaur Jr on YouTube. This is awsome. AweSOME!

  • Holy Score!!!

    Thanks!!
