  • gee ,what bullshit! do muslims actually think that way? then no wonder theyre so backward

  • subhanillah

  • mashallah. i was having many many doubts about islam myself over the pastfew months , however when i found out about the miracles of the quran eg. that the universe and the earth was gas/smoke/dust, i asked myself 'how could the have POSSIBLY have known that 1400 years ago?

    PS. Atheism will be destroyed!!!!1

  • The doubts about islam will come back as soon as you realize, that all of these "miracle"-claims have their problems or even show errors in the quran.

As an example take the "dust/smoke"-claim: In context the quran says, that god placed several stuff onto the earth, and THEN the heaven were still smoke.

So - IF "heavens" should mean "universe" AND IF this should refer to the beginning of the universe, this would be awful wrong, because the earth didn't even exist at that time.

  • Which means, that the miraculous interpretation of such verses even contradict the quran itself. The problem is, that the people making such claims are very dishonest in their argumentation. They just want to make islam somehow look "true" - even if their argumentation is not correct.

  • nobody asked you to beleive in it...you have your "PRE-INFORMED OPINION"...and that's just how it's going to be

  • well, we all somehow have a "pre-informed opinion" - not just me ;-).That's why we discuss these issues.

  • "heavens' or "sky". You see no difference?

  • The quran talks about "7 heavens", and muslims interpretate it as "universe" or "sky" - depending on which one suits best to their arguments.

However, the verse talking about the "heavens being still smoke" continues by talking about the "lowest heaven being adorned with lamps/stars". So if you read it as "sky" or "atmosphere", this would be wrong. If you read it as "universe" its still wrong, because then the universe is created after the earth already exists.

  • What do you mean by universe? If a god talks to humans about anything he should be talking to them by their frame of reference. So I interpret universe as we can observe i.e. stars/planets/instellar dust etc....

  • "So I interpret universe as we can observe i.e. stars/planets/instellar dust etc...."

Well, as you wish. But that doesn't correct the error. By the quran first the earth was created, and "god" turned to then the "heavens, which were still dust, and completed them in another few days ;-).

  • I get the impression by reading the verse is that Earth was a separate entity (may not be fully formed yet) while a part of the Universe was still in the process of formation (which is still going on). But anyway, my personal take is that Quran is not a book of science it gives the inspiration to ponder over the creation of the universe...

  • "PS. Atheism will be destroyed!!!!1 "

How nice of you, a represantive of the religion of "peace".

  • oh we are talking about science and islam... well,,, muhammad asked his fellow men to drink camel piss because its good for your eyes and helth... to be honest i do not like this science. you can read it in Bukhari Volume 4, Book 52, Number 261

  • Once this thing call the quran starts talking about atoms and tells me the atomic number of iron and Avogadro's number, then maybe we can talk about it possibly being a credible source.

  • Only the creater of this earth would no that there is iron in the core of the earth, the quran tells u dis 1400 years ago scientist discovered it recently.

  • Joseph! Sura 18:86-90 nowhere refers to earth shaped lik an egg in the Arabic text. Which translation of Koran you are using, as I have 5 different translations and none of them seems to agree with your translation. If earh was egg shaped, then Koran could never refer to sun going in a muddy pond (18:86). By the way are you begging me to find Bibical refs for you to help you with your arguements(-:

  • @myonlyrefuge

The Qur’an mentions the actual shape of the earth in the following verse: "And we have made the earth egg shaped". The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 79, Verse 30

The Arabic word Dahaha means egg shaped. It also means an expanse. Dahaha is derived from Duhiya which specifically refers to the egg of an ostrich which is geospherical in shape, exactly like the shape of the earth.

  • In Sura 18:90, Koran implies that the earth is flat by teling us about the miracle of Sun going down in muddy pond. I had already mentioned this in response to your flat earth question without any Biblical ref to it, but that is exactly what I mean by you not paying any attention & not wanting to find the truth. The Hitler question is a redherring, as we both know he wasn't a Christian, though it is sad that now you want to hide behind hitler to aviod real qestions about koran & Mohammad)-:

  • Sura 18:90

'until, when he came to the rising place of the sun, he found it rising on a people for whom We (Allah) had provided no shelter against the sun'

now tell where in that verse of the book of truth implies that the earth is flat? or the sun is sets on a muddy place or whatever nonsese u are talking about it absolutely no knowlege. as the quarn says, you are deaf, dumb and blind no matter how much clear evidence from islam a truth and proof religion u get,u will still remain stupid!

  • "Till, when he reached the setting-place of the sun, he found it setting in a muddy spring, and found a people thereabout." (Sura 18:86)

Now if you had only read a few previous verses, you may not have been embarrased now.

Your Allah seems so stupid, that he doesn't even know that sun can't go down a muddy pond.

This shows that he was a false god, because the true God will surely know where sun goes, as he created it in the first place.

Probably I am casting pearls before swine)-:

  • Sura 18:86 implies that earth is flat, but Sura 20:53 very clearly says, "He Who has, made for you the earth like a carpet spread out."

You are right, Muslims are spiritually deaf, dumb & blind to such extend that no evidence of fact based truth can change their stupid minds.

That is why I quoted Jesus Christ from Matthew 7:6, "Don't cast your pearls before swine".

  • @myonlyrefuge u missing knowledge dude and u why evry none believer dont read the next verses, u shld continue the verses before u start talking

the sentence in the above verse is not complete. It continues in the next verse, explaining the previous verse. It says: "That ye may go about therein, in spacious roads." The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 71, Verse 20

  • @myonlyrefuge A similar message is repeated in Surah TaHa

"He Who has made for you the earth like a carpet spread out; has enabled you to go about therein by roads (and channels)...." The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 20, Verse 53

The surface of the earth i.e. earth’s crust is less than 30 miles in thickness and is very thin as compared to the radius of the earth which is about 3750 miles. The deeper layers of the earth are very hot, fluid and hostile to any form of life.

  • @myonlyrefuge 2. Carpet can also be spread on other than an absolute flat surface

Not a single verse of the Qur’an says that the earth is flat. The Qur’an only compares the earth’s crust with a carpet. Some people seem to think that carpet can only be put on an absolute flat surface. It is possible to spread a carpet on a large sphere such as the earth. It can easily be demonstrated by taking a huge model of the earth’s globe covering it with a carpet.

  • @myonlyrefuge Carpet is generally put on a surface, which is not very comfortable to walk on. The Qur’an describes the earth crust as a carpet, without which human beings would not be able to survive because of the hot, fluid and hostile environment beneath it. The Qur’an is thus not only logical, it is mentioning a scientific fact that was discovered by geologists centuries later.

  • @myonlyrefuge 3. Earth has been spread out

Similarly, the Qur’an says in several verses that the earth has been spread out.

"And We have spread out the (spacious) earth: how excellently We do spread out!" The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 51, Verse 48

Similarly the Qur’an also mentions in several other verses that the earth is an expanse:

"Have We not made the earth as a wide expanse. And the mountains as pegs?" The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 78, Verse 6-7

  • @myonlyrefuge None of these verses of the Qur’an contain even the slightest implication that the earth is flat. It only indicates that the earth is spacious and the reason for this spaciousness of the earth is mentioned. The Glorious Qur’an says:

"O My servants who believe! truly. spacious is My Earth: therefore serve ye Me –(And Me alone)!" The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 29, Verse 56

  • @myonlyrefuge Therefore none can give the excuse, that he could not do good and was forced to do evil because of the surroundings and circumstances.

  • @myonlyrefuge 4. Earth is geospherical in shape

  • yaaal! If a glass of milk is given to you with a drop of urine in it, would you be able to drink it? I would persoanlly chuck the whole thing in the toilet!

Words of Satan are filthier than urine! The proof that some of them got mixed in the Koran means the entire Koran should be flushed down the toilet.

Koran 22:52 seems to be consoling Mohammad about some of the Satanic interjection in the Koran, i.e. Sura 53:19-21.

Be brave! Flush the koran in the toilet, or use it as toilet paper!

  • @myonlyrefuge people need to read whole quran 1st before goin to a debate cuz if u do 90% of ur question u wnt ask them cuz u wil have the answer, copy smthng and pastin it cuz u find it in another website it wnt help u cuz many ppl past fake info without putinj reasonable proofs

He Who has made for you the earth like a carpet spread out; has enabled you to go about therein by roads (and channels)...." The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 20, Verse 53

  • @myonlyrefuge he surface of the earth i.e. earth’s crust is less than 30 miles in thickness and is very thin as compared to the radius of the earth which is about 3750 miles. The deeper layers of the earth are very hot, fluid and hostile to any form of life. The earth’s crust is a solidified shell on which we can live. The Qur’an rightly refers to it like a carpet spread out, so that we can travel along its roads and paths.

  • @myonlyrefuge Carpet can also be spread on other than an absolute flat surface

Not a single verse of the Qur’an says that the earth is flat. The Qur’an only compares the earth’s crust with a carpet. • Getting upset isn't the answer, as logically this is the sign of a failed arguement. Your colourful language tells me that you have in fact become a Muslim. If this is what Islam does to a decent individual, then no one should ever convrt to Islam. There is no point babbling if you can't support it with refs, otherwise it is nothing more than a drunkard's promise(-:

  • Joseph! I'm not sure why you quoted the above 'End Times' refs as they have nothing to do with Messiah's death, atonement of our sins & eternal life. They also don't support your statement that Islam will give you eternal life, for which you have so far failed to find a Koranic reference from your Muslim friends. But how can you find it, as believe me, there is none)-:

  • In Old Testament God revealed the fate of the Messiah, as Isaiah 53 talks clearly about what will happen to him. Especially verse 12 explicitly talks about his death, mentioning that it will be for the atonement of our sins. Joseph! Please don't let Devil decieve you into letting go of eternal life, which Messiah earned for you and me on the Cross.

  • Interesting conclusion! Read chater 19 of Gospel according to St. John, especially verses 31-34, which state his legs weren't broken. Are you sure you ever studied the Bible, as you don't seem to know even the basics???

  • Koran confirms that Mohamad did no miracle(Sura 6:37,10:20). Mostly the miracles Koran mentions are the ones done by the Biblical prophets, plus some pagan folklores from pre-Islamic Arabia that are re-told in the Koran as if the were the real word of God.

  • Of course the Quran contains many miracles because it is 100 percent God's words!!!Some miracles have been discovered and a lot have not been discovered yet!

  • nice

  • woooooooooooow, subhannalah, the ending was the most suprising part

  • yeah, surprisingly far fatched.

  • your just jealous! :P
