Once played a 6OT thriller in the playoffs Suns/Supersonics. I was the Suns, won 177-176, 5 minute quarters. Jeff Hornacek 107 pts, something like 17 three-pointers ha. Was seriously out of breath. What a underrated game.
how many minutes were you playing? you can easily steal the ball by standing just below the defensive player right after you score. sometimes he'll just keep passing the ball into your hands and you can just slam dunk over and over again. i've scored over 200 points before in the shortest quarters, which i believe are 2 or 3 minutes long.
@deepsabbathfanatic If you could make a video of this in action, that would be awesome. It would make a winning score in the 600-700 range possible if executed properly.
terrible defense. how can you give up 53% shooting and force only four turnovers??? haha i kid. i could never have the concentration or attention span to score that many points.
@fatchan2k hahaha... nice. In all truthfulness, the game does not count them as steals when you knock it out of their hands and recover the bouncing ball (only swipes where you take direct control count as steals).
not hard if you are doing full time of the game. i think i've done around 200 in a 3m. quarters game but that was standing at the end of the court, stealing and dunking continously the entire game.
I can't believe I've never heard of this game until now... I guess because it came out pretty late in the NES's life span (just looked it up on Wikipedia). Also, what the heck is up with Jordan being in it? Of all the NBA-approved games I ever played during that era, none of them had Jordan. Does anyone know why that is, or why this game is different?
After doing a little more research (from Yahoo answers, so who knows how accurate it is), it seems like his own licencing agreement for video games dating all the way back to Jordan vs. Bird, and that took precedence over the NBAPA agreement, which didn't happen until later. I guess Tecmo didn't mind spending the money, or maybe there was some other loophole. It's too bad, it would have been cool to play as MJ in games like NBA Jam.

I remember this game, good times....LOL
I'm just offended cause you did it against my Wolves. Understandable though, they sucked horribly in this game lol
