The debate was about Arctic policy, not the credibility of Baroness Ashton and personal attacks on any person should not be tolerated - ANYWHERE.

Moreover, yes, the EU is "huge": I don't understand why this is a problem - so are Canada and China in geographic and population terms respectively.

There are many extra regulations in the workplace which are bad for businesses and workers. Also we lose out as we have to fund other countries to compete with us, then sell us back products cheaper than UK merchants, as we have subsidised the cost of them producing it. For example, giving millions to the Spanish so they can fish competitively, and put UK workers out of a job.

Yes Canada and China are big, but they aren't groups of countries with many many different types of people and languages (not on the scale of difference in the EU). And they don't have a central legislative govt, which the country hasn't had a chance to vote on. It is a stupid argument.
