John isn't present in any of these scenes, which could mean that he's injured, could mean he's fallen out with Sherlock, could mean he's been kidnapped [agAIN] or that he's simply not relevant. I don't think the latter is likely as Gatiss talked extensively about the importance of the pair's friendship, and this trailer seemed to be highlighting Sherlock's isolation in his battle with Moriarty. Perhaps this is to add a yin/yang polarity perspective, but it also suggests something big for John.

So, Sherlock is in a cell, in a suit, and Moriarty is apparently in the next cell, so both are either in gaol overnight or are straight out of court otherwise they would be wearing prison clothes. Sherlock can't be in for libel, breaking and entering and [just thought of it] posssibly harrassing Moriarty. If that were true then perhaps the reason Moriarty is in gaol himself is not entirely due to Sherlock catching him in the act.

Sherlock would only be arrested for two reasons: libel, in the case of prematurely accusing Moriarty in desperation, or breaking and entering,as he has done that in the books. Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffatt like the books too much to make him commit murder, and he's not very good with weapons apart from swordstick handling, of which there would be media coverage.

Sherlock's first reaction upon recognising Moriarty is to try to catch him again, which implies that though he wasn't expecting Moriarty to be there he was actively pursuing him.

Second scene is obvious and boring, Sherlock is in the moors, HOUN. Why he's on the Tor in the day [in the books he "allows the moon to rise behind him"] is unlikely to hold any plot significance.

Okay first scene: Sherlock gets out of the cab relatively quickly which could imply that he si aware he's in some sort of danger, though when Moriarty pops out of the cab window he's surprised, so there's a possibility he was in the cab with someone else, though he's getting off alone, which leads me to ask where John is, and whether there's been some sort of row between them as in another trailer Sherlock says he has no friends.
