Why are all these people running onto a green track? Where are the track marshalls? Track security?  If I was president of the Jamaican club, everyone getting fired for not doing their dam jobs.

This is just poor judgment on everyone's part, spectators should never run onto the track, thats for race marshals and medical personnel. The speedway needs to have control mechanisms in place, because unfortunately people can be stupid enough to do this again. But i think the real hero in this situation here is the driver who hit the child, if u watch closely it could have been alot worse, he swung left after hitting him to avoid running him over. hats off to u sir.

Feel sorry for what?? Shoulda lick down the whola dem!!! Jamaican people love too much exicitement!! When you run across the tracks you put the drivers at risk. Serve him right. Granny always say, "he who doh hear, must feel". The spectator will remember his stupidity through his broken bones.

to tel u d truth.....no1 shud hav been running towards the accident.......all spectators shud be behind a railin or smtn.......it is his fault tht he ran onto the track nd gt hit.......but seriously i feel sooo sry for him........God be with him!

Don't know if its true, but the Star reports that the little boy has died. This is too tragic.

Oh my that little boy was left so carelessly by his parents, how can u leave ur child to tend for himself just because a car crash... smh

@elainewhyte001 It wasn't exactly a "little" boy. I think he was big enough to know better. If he wasn't there by himself, his guardians were probably just as indisciplined as he was. Unfortunately, enough still won't learn from this.

@elainewhyte001 I got more details since I made my comment. He is only just 10 years old. That explains a lot. The pictures on the Observer made him look bigger. I know of many 10 year olds that would not have run onto the track, which speaks more to the quality of their parents, than themselves. Thanks for your reply.

This is ridiculous!! Where were the course marshalls or the security!! This is plainly the fault of the officials. I pray that the boy will be alright and the other woman that was reportedly hit.

@rdrinkall - u got it wrong boss - the marshals and security could do nothing about it. The crowd invaded the track mainly from the hillside in a matter of seconds. You would need an army patrolling or a squad of police/security at arms length along that straight to have a chance

1:55 look at the front straight you will see when the car hit the boy and carried him 50 or so feet and dropped him off coming to a stop
