"The prophets are prophesying lies in my name. I have not sent them or appointed them or spoken to them. They are prophesying to you false visions, divinations, idolatries and the delusions of their own minds.
Your citing Hebrews here is not correct. Paul teaches that once we are Saved, Salvation which is a free Gift from God is irrevocable. However, when we go fourth and build falsely on the foundation of Christ, as Jay did in the LDS Church, he would still be Saved, but as Paul says, only as one escaping through the Flames. He will suffer loss. That loss is the time that he could have been spending establishing treasures in Heaven, instead of building a house of straw on sand. Peace.
No, it does not say salvation is irrevocable, it says that we can not lose it. We are saved by two elements, neither of which are past tense; 1. Grace which is unmeritable favor and 2. Faith which in the new Testament is the word that means an intense conviction that something is true. Faith also brings with it the connotation of trust, and we MUST always trust in Christ to be saved. Hebrews 6 is a warning to Jewish believers to not abandon Christ for Judaism, they were Christians, not unsaved
so, if we willfully reject Christ after receiving His new life by faith, there is no more cross, no more sacrifice for us. If we do this, we are condemned. Nobody can lose their salvation, but then again, your understanding of salvation as a thing that happened in the past is inaccurate. Salvation is faith in Christ, that is how He saves us, so to reject Him, makes us apostate and un savable
Rom. 11:5 So too, at the present time there is a remnant chosen by grace. 6 And if by grace, then it is no longer by works; if it were, grace would no longer be grace.
29 for God's gifts and his call are irrevocable.
32 For God has bound all men over to disobedience so that he may have mercy on them all.
If you build falsely on the foundation of Christ as the LDS do, and you have received Grace, you will still be Saved but only as one escaping through the flames. Your works will be burned up
One who does believe in Christ and mixes it with the false doctrines of men is that you build falsely on the foundation of Jesus the Christ. These poor individuals are duped into wasting their lives stoking the flames of their own judgement by building works that will burn white hot. In the end they will have no treasures in Heaven. A bad tree can bear no Good Fruit. The water that feeds it is tainted and makes the tree to be diseased. LDS doctrines poison the living water that feeds the tree.
if it were speaking to unbelievers, they would never have believed and been "saved" in the first place, so there would be no need to warn them not to fall away. To fall away from something implies you were in or on it. If I am in a tree, and I fall out of it, nobody would suggest that I was never in it, so why do you say people who fall away never believed? Your logic is circular, & as usual, you accuse us of believing in works for salvation, which no Arminian believes in, sorry,
you accuse us of believing in works for salvation, which no Arminian believes in, sorry,
Stop paying Tithing to your Church then. If you do not believe in works for Salvation, then that is a work you can forgo. Give it anonymously to the poor instead and you will be rewarded by your Father in Heaven.
God no longer speaks to us through the Prophets, He now speaks to us through His Son. Hebrews 7 gives the qualifications for the Melchisedek Priesthood: The Priesthood holder must be Exalted above the Heavens, like the Son of God, Without beginning of Days or End of Life, Without an Earthly Genealogy, Without a Earthly Father or Mother, set apart from all sinners, holy, blameless and pure, Must be a Priest Forever.
So do you pick and choose what to believe from Hebrews?
Read it again. You are missing something very important. Hebrews says that once they received knowledge of the Truth. It is not speaking of those that have accepted it. Of those Hebrews states: But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who believe and are saved. Paul in Cor. teaches us that fire will test the quality of each man's work. If it is burned up, he will suffer loss; he himself will be saved, but only as one escaping through the flames.
Salvation is a process that we enter into. Once we Believe in Christ, we enter into the Rest of God. That is a State of Salvation. IT is you that lack understanding of Christ's Law that is placed on the Heart. If you turn from Christ (Reject) once you have accepted him, did you ever Believe in the first place? I think not.
you just contradicted yourself, you said "salvation is a process" well, if it is a process, then it is not simply an even that took place in the past that is like a get out of hell free card. Salvation is a process that begins and is sustained by faith. The Book of Hebrews was an entire letter written to Jewish believers that were considering rejecting Jesus and returning to Judaism. It would serve no other purpose than a warning to believers, because if it were speaking to unbelievers-cont-
Hebrews is a warning to those that are attempting to follow the old Law which was fulfilled by Christ on the Cross. You would do well to come to understand it. The Letter, which I believe was drafted by Paul in his favored language and translated and delivered by Luke to the Hebrews was a warning against the people that were behaving not unlike yourself. They were returning to the Old Law that Christ fulfilled on the Cross. This letter proves your Church to be founded on false principles.

Mormons use Jesus in a "Bait and Swith" scam.
They bait people with the name of Jesus, but they switch Smith for Jesus and then eventually eliminate Jesus.
Satan is the father of lies, liars and the "bait/switch" scam. Mormons follow Satan, even though they are in denial about it.

Our God is an awesome God! In spite of our sin an failures, HE always strives to be near us. That theme is throughout the old and new testament.
He came to seek and to save that which was lost- (Us.)
