Your citing Hebrews here is not correct. Paul teaches that once we are Saved, Salvation which is a free Gift from God is irrevocable. However, when we go fourth and build falsely on the foundation of Christ, as Jay did in the LDS Church, he would still be Saved, but as Paul says, only as one escaping through the Flames. He will suffer loss. That loss is the time that he could have been spending establishing treasures in Heaven, instead of building a house of straw on sand. Peace.

No, it does not say salvation is irrevocable, it says that we can not lose it. We are saved by two elements, neither of which are past tense; 1. Grace which is unmeritable favor and 2. Faith which in the new Testament is the word that means an intense conviction that something is true. Faith also brings with it the connotation of trust, and we MUST always trust in Christ to be saved. Hebrews 6 is a warning to Jewish believers to not abandon Christ for Judaism, they were Christians, not unsaved

These poor individuals are duped into wasting their lives stoking the flames of their own judgement by building works that will burn white hot. In the end they will have no treasures in Heaven. Hebrews 1

Read it again. You are missing something very important. Hebrews says that once they received knowledge of the Truth. It is not speaking of those that have accepted it. Of those Hebrews states: But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who believe and are saved. Paul in Cor. teaches us that fire will test the quality of each man's work. If it is burned up, he will suffer loss; he himself will be saved, but only as one escaping through the flames.

Salvation is a process that we enter into. Once we Believe in Christ, we enter into the Rest of God. That is a State of Salvation. IT is you that lack understanding of Christ's Law that is placed on the Heart. If you turn from Christ (Reject) once you have accepted him, did you ever Believe in the first place? I think not.

Hebrews is a warning to those that are attempting to follow the old Law which was fulfilled by Christ on the Cross. You would do well to come to understand it. The Letter, which I believe was drafted by Paul in his favored language and translated and delivered by Luke to the Hebrews was a warning against the people that were behaving not unlike yourself. They were returning to the Old Law that Christ fulfilled on the Cross. This letter proves your Church to be founded on false principles.

I had a similar experience with my being Born again. As soon as I chose Jesus,Mormons showed up at my door. Glory be to God Jesus gave me the strength and wisdom to witness to those young men and tell them about Him and how He changed me.
